My dad moved into the Rivercourt Residences. The staff has been very helpful, especially in a remote environment that we have now. They've been pretty good about scanning the documents so that I can fill them out and sign. I like that they had longevity in their staff too. There were people that had been there for 18 years, which is pretty significant for this type of care. There was about two weeks where we couldn't go see him, and the staff has been very good about sending us updates or emails on how he was acclimating, what he was doing, or if there's any issues that needed to be clarified. I like the fact that it is small, unlike some of the other places where there's like 10 or 12 people at the dining table. Because he's lived alone for many, many years, that would be too overwhelming for him. In this place, they only have two to three people max at a table, so I think it's less confusing for him. The best part of the facility is it's an old converted paper mill. My grandfather was a miller right there for thirty five years, so my father knows it very well. He may not know where he is in time, but at least he knows where he is in space. Also, it's not even half a mile from my grandparents' homestead. That was important for me, for him to have some sort of comfort level. They have a men's group in which the guy who's in charge of the maintenance actually meets with them. They build things or work on things. My dad was mechanically inclined, and that was another aspect that I really liked versus putting him into paintings or puzzles. He seems to be enjoying the food as well. He's in a shared suite right now with a shared bathroom, but each has their own individual room. We were able to bring in furniture and decorate it, so it was stuff that looks familiar to him. They have separate kitchens for the memory care. If they don't like the meal choices, then they'll make them a hamburger or something else. They seem to be very accommodating from that perspective. It's just they have a small parking lot. There's not a whole lot of visitor parking, especially for handicapped people.

Rivercourt Residences was beautiful. I like the location because I live in Groton. What stood out is it seems so fresh, new, and welcoming. The cookies they gave me were good, too. It was a chocolate chip cookie, and it was delicious. It was freshly made. We had a really good visit. There are several dining rooms for different levels. I wasn't there at mealtime. So, they were empty but they were all clean, neat, and attractive.

I toured Rivercourt Residences. It's pretty good. They showed me the room. I liked it. They have food service there. They have lots there, but it just costs so much. It's a single room. I think it has a little kitchenette and a bathroom. It's the right facility, but it's way out of my price range. I just met one person there, it was good. It's clean, it looks well-run.

Rivercourt Residences was very nice. We enjoyed visiting that place. The facility was excellent. I saw one apartment and it was very nice. The whole building was very clean and maintained very well. It's a refurbished mill so the outside venues were very nice. The food was excellent. We had lunch there and the people we dealt with were excellent. We met a couple of residents who were very nice and liked the venue very much as well. They have a library and various rooms for parties that people can use. If you have guests, you can have them come into those. They also have a hairdresser/barber shop and a dentist's office. So, they seem to take good care of the people.

Rivercourt Residences was a lovely place. It was very quiet. But because it is an independent living, there weren't a lot of people around. They were all off doing things. Somehow, the communication got lost and they didn't know we were coming. So, the head of nursing was the one that showed us around. She never even knew we were coming, so she wasn't prepared for it. They had a great walking area. It was like an old mill area, so it was very rustic and kind of neighborhood friendly.

Rivercourt Residences was wonderful. It was a little bit pricey, but it was very nice. The food was delicious. The staff was great and the other residents seemed nice as well. The apartments are large. They don't have a pool or a pub, but everything else is good. They have a lot of activities.

RiverCourt Residences was horrible. When I went there, they were lovely. I mean, everything was super nice. I like the setup and everything like that, but they are very money motivated. They were very nice to me until I told them I needed a couple of weeks, probably a month, to get things in order and get ready. They got bullyish, pressured me, and were outright rude. I don't think that was the best place for my dad at his level, you know, with someone that was independent, that's probably right. It's all about money. It almost turned combative, and it was not like that when I went there to go see the place. The tour was nice, the place was nice, but I didn't like how they handled the situation. The food was good. There was no exercise or anything.

I toured Rivercourt Residences for my mother-in-law and it was very nice. The staff was very thorough, very, very nice, and very welcoming. The rooms were very nice, but they were a little bit smaller than we were looking for. The place was very nice and very well decorated for Christmas. They did a good job with everything. I was there after lunch, so there was no one eating, but the dining area was clean.

We are trying to get into River court Residences. We're going to look at another apartment today. It's very well kept up, they're remodeling most of the rooms, or they've been in the process of doing that. The countertops are updated. I think they've got a great reputation. They are working with us to try and get the price, the cost where we need it to be. So I don't have anything negative to say about River court. The staff was excellent. They were very open and showed us everything that we wanted to see, even if it was an apartment open and unoccupied. They have a hair salon and you can do your laundry, and dining rooms and just everything was spotless. That's what I liked about it. There was no weird smell. Some of the employees have been there 10 years, you know, so there does seem to be some longevity in the staff which is good. It makes it sound like they take care of their people. If this room that we're going to see today is big enough, because I'm putting both parents in there, then that's probably where we're going. The one they showed us on Saturday was just too small. All of the bathrooms are very big and even if they haven't been updated, they still look brand new. We're going to try assisted living, they'd be together, but they would let my mom hang out in the memory care section if my dad needed to go out. They have a monitoring bracelet that they can put on her so that if in the middle of the night, she's approaching an exterior door, it's not going to lock the door, but it's going to alert them that she's there, so that gives me a little more peace of mind.

My stepmother is in River Court Residences. We choose it primarily because it is close to their home where they know everybody. It is a memory care unit. It is a shared room setting, two to a unit. There seems to be a good varied number of activities like exercise and brain stimulation games. I am very happy with the food there. The staff seems professional, caring, and well suited for their job, which is a hard one. It is a quiet rural setting near a small river. There is a courtyard with bird feeders.

River Court is fifteen minutes away from all of us. Everything has been great. It is very good. It is not that far, so it is easier for us to go to. They have everything going on in there. I have no problem at all.
