"I was very impressed with Benchmark at Hanover. It was very nice, very clean, and well-kept. It's very new. They are at 65 percent capacity. The apartments were also very clean. The suite that we viewed was very spacious, accommodating, and we thought it was very good. They were extremely helpful, extremely caring, and understanding of the situation. The dining area was very nice, well-kept, and smelling clean. I saw people with snacks, like muffins and stuff like that, and they looked very good."

"I saw Cornerstone of Weymouth. It's $6,500 a month, and you have to pay a one-time $4,500 community fee, but that's a lot of money. The tour was wonderful, and the staff was wonderful. It's great, and it's an hour away from my children. Their units are all apartments, and they have a cafe and a restaurant. They have a lot of regular amenities, too. It was wonderful. They couldn't have been any better, but for two people, you're talking about $6500 a month."

"My sister will be moving to Windrose at Weymouth. They told me that they only hire staff that's trained in memory care. The staff seemed very nice, they knew people that were there by their first names. I saw someone feeding a patient and somebody washing the hair of another patient. It's just all around a good feeling. The rooms are awesome, they're like dorm rooms except you don't have a roommate. They're very, very nice, we were there yesterday to bring her belongings in, and the room was very cute and nice. There are three floors, and there's a huge room at the end of each floor. And all the residents were there and they're involved in some activities like water power stuff, and I got to see them doing stuff. I like that it's closer to family, the cost is reasonable, and I like the rooms and the major fact that it was all memory care."

"My mother was at the All American. She was only there for about a month though. The food was very good. They had two separate bedrooms to a unit, and the people could have a TV or a phone. If you walked in the door to these two bedrooms, there was a little sitting area first of all, to the left of that was the bathroom and a shower, and then the two bedrooms -- each with their own door and separated by a wall -- and they were very clean. They did laundry every week for everybody, they had nursing and activities going on, people coming in for the activities, and three meals a day. This was the memory care, but the whole thing was assisted living with not more than 16 people in it, so it was a nice, hands-on type of thing. It was a very good place. My mom had her 101st birthday over there, and they gave her a wonderful party. They were fine. Everything was a five. "

"My mother has moved into All American Assisted Living at Wareham. I like that the rooms are two-bedroom units, so they always have a roommate. They have a secure outside courtyard, and they provide a lot of activities for the residents. The staff is very caring. They make time for everyone. They don't seem stressed. Even though they may be, they have very good attitudes. She's in memory care. The food is very good."

"When I knew my sister needed to live in an assisted living/memory care facility, I developed the criteria that I felt was important. Ideally I wanted the facility to be near me so I readily could have 'easy' contact for visits and to meet whatever needs might arise. I wanted the facility to provide safety and security for her, a social setting to combat loneliness and activities to keep her engaged. I wanted her to be able to live her life as fully as she was able. Living in Hingham myself, I looked to Google to see what (if any) facility might exist in my immediate area. When seeing that Allerton House was an option, I called to make an appointment with the Marketing Manager. Upon entering the site, I was blown away. It was very well appointed - actually beautiful - and had the look and feel of a private residence. Once the Manager explained the services and answered my initial questions, I was shown an actual unit. I was convinced my search was over. My prayers were answered! Initially I secured a unit in the assisted living portion of Allerton. After two years., my sister relocated to the memory cars area in a wing of Allerton. Simple transition. Fast forwarding, my sister has lived at Allerton for 3 1/4 years now. She loves it !! And I love it. The care and attention she receives daily has made her feel loved, comfortable and secure. No more being responsible for cooking, cleaning etc. and other pesky chores. And she dines in a restaurant quality dining room daily. She often raves about the variety and quality of the food. And the availability of snacks and special offerings for occasions is a bonus. She is an active participant in the numerous activities, enjoys the bus trips to various local sites and has made many friends - no longer alone in a big house. Among her friends are the staff who are extremely caring and supportive. I am kept completely informed of any concerns the staff may have of her needs both medically and socially. We communicate in person, by telephone or by text. The management, nursing staff, aides, receptionists and maintenance staff are exemplary - each and every one. Being the primary giver, Allerton House has given me peace of mind. I know my sister is happy and being well cared for while living her life in a nurturing and loving environment. Hats off to the staff at Allerton who consistently - particularly during these trying times - meet her needs and my expectations and then some! Amen. "

"My mother in law has been a resident at Hingham Bridges for 1-1/2 years. The facilities, staff, and activities are wonderful. They have not had any Covid infections since the pandemic began. The residents are not in their rooms except to sleep. They spend time in their living areas socializing together, and there are large living room and kitchen/dining areas where the friends are all together. Clean, bright, sunny, and the staff are cheerful and caring. Each wing has about 16 residents, and they all have access to large sunny courtyards that are beautifully landscaped, with paved pathways for walks, and rocking chairs, tables and umbrellas for visiting and socializing. The residents can go out to the courtyard on their own during nice weather. Each day there is a full calendar of activities, even during the pandemic. They continue to bring entertainment in--and have had several concerts and activities outdoors in the courtyards, and indoors while everyone is wearing masks and is socially distanced. They do crafts, memory activities, games, art and there is a lot of one on one time. There is also a hair salon on site, and the dentist and podiatrist visit monthly for anyone needing appointments. My husband, my mother in law and I could not be happier with her care. They even somehow make her ground food medical requirement tasty as their chef really cares!"

"Our mom is a part of the Sunrise in Braintree’s reminiscence community.. All of the staff throughout Sunrise are amazing with the care they provide for her. They consider her a part of their family and make her feel safe and loved at all times. We are always greeted kindly by the staff and are made to feel welcomed each time we visit. Mom is very happy in her new home at Sunrise and this gives us a great piece of mind."

"The only place I toured was The Atrium at Faxon Woods. It seemed like a nice place, and it was close. But I think my friend didn't choose it because of the price. The staff who toured us was very nice. They had one-people and two-people rooms. I believe they're mostly two-people rooms. The place was very clean when we went through. The dining area was very nice. Everything seemed to be very well kept up and very neat."

"My father moved into Brookdale Quincy Bay. The people were very welcoming and made him feel at home instantly, which was very nice. It's a lovely and very clean facility with lots of amenities. They have a beautiful dining room. The food is very good. He has a lovely apartment."
