"My father moved into Paramount Senior Living at Fredericksburg. It was the first place we went to that did all levels of assisted living care. His room is amply big to support other furniture aside from a bed, a recliner, and a TV. So, it's more than sufficient. The facility is very clean and very easy to get around. Most of their residents in wheelchairs are getting around just fine. They have a tremendous amount of staff there to support the mobility of these residents. The staff is wonderful. They seem to be very caring. The interaction between the staff and the residents is very family-like. I eat lunch with my father and the food is very nice. If you're a family member, your meal costs $5. And for what you get, that is extremely reasonable. You can drink lemonade, tea, water, juice, or whatever you want, and they replenish it immediately. My dad has become more engaged here compared to where he was at. He's way more interactive. He plays bingo and he has a friend that he talks to now. They have a store and he can go buy something at the store, which is more than he ever did before."

"I just visited Harmony at Falls Run yesterday. The price is lower. Virginia, who was the person giving the tour, did a great job. I wanted to see one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. I like the levels, like independent living and assisted living, and the benefits of using other assistance as I needed it. It's very comparable to the other place as far as square footage. They're nice apartments. I'm very satisfied with the tour. Another plus is that there are residents there that came to Falls Run, so it wouldn't be like I would be moving to a place where I wouldn't know anybody. Several residents are already living over there."

"We toured Bickford of Spotsylvania. The food presentation was amazing. The flavor was amazing. They have a great selection, and that changes daily, and you can even order, staple items every day. So if you don't want something that's on the menu, they have a certain set of options that you can order all the time. The rooms were great there. You can individually decorate them however you want. The dining area was like a restaurant-type dining. They actually seat you. They wait for you. There are couches everywhere, and pillows that they decorate per holiday. They have blankets out for the residents to be able to use during their stay. Even if they're out sitting in the living room and they get cold, there's a blanket there. It's a smaller place. So, they know everybody by name. It was wonderful. The staff answered every question, and let us peek into some of the actual residents' rooms that were decorated, so we could see what would fit and what wasn't. We got to pick some activities that they had and showed us all the activities they do every month."

"I toured. They had great rooms. They have a doctor in-house who will coordinate their care with other doctors out of the house, so it's not much on the family members. They have a care manager who will go with them to the doctor's appointments. I thought that was amazing. They have great food and are pet-friendly. They go out every Thursday. It was a great place. The staff was wonderful, answered all my questions, and was enthusiastic, but not pushy."

"I toured Marian Manor of Stafford. The thing I liked best was the staff's participation in the lives of the patients. They have a huge living room where people sit around and chat with each other. The facility is fine, lovely, and clean. They showed the dining area. On the first floor, I saw a couple of rooms to get an idea of what size and furniture restrictions and all."

"My dad will move in. The staff seemed very warm and welcoming. It was clean and nice. It seemed that everyone was engaged. It felt more like home. They made me feel very at ease and very welcomed. It was just very comforting. They were very pleasant. The place is very neat. They have activities at the memory care unit. They have an activities person, too. They have a courtyard. They have the things that I was interested in."

"I toured Potomac Place Assisted Living and Memory Care. The management was really good. The grounds were well-kept. The people who lived there seemed to enjoy it. They had good amenities like how they take them out to different activities and things like that. The woman who helped us was informative and friendly. My mom liked the food. The place was clean. They had a wide variety of different rooms from smaller to larger rooms, and it was affordable as well. That was one big thing. It was the most affordable place out of all of them."

"We liked Arbor Terrace Prince William Commons because it was the cheapest. When they gave us the package for the rental of the apartment, the one thing that we liked the most was that med management was included. It's not considered a level of care. It's just part of their basic assisted living, which we love. The facility is beautiful. They have lots of activities. It's not too big, but it's also not too small. The staff was super friendly. The place was gorgeous. Cleanliness was top-notch. It's amazing. I took my sister over there and toured her around, and she just couldn't get over how clean it was and how beautiful it was. It just looked so light, vibrant, and happy. Not gross and old."

"The place seemed very nice. It was clean and well maintained, and the residents seemed happy and friendly. They certainly enjoyed all the carols we sang them and candy we had for them. The facility was not excessively large, but the rooms were well provisioned and not overly spartan. There wasn't anything that struck me as wrong or unkempt about the place. We toured the facility and sang carols in the main room and in some personal rooms. The place was neat and tidy and seemed to be a decent community. I wouldn't mind living there when I got older, although I still plan to live independently for as long as I am able. The food provided was not overly elaborate, but was sufficient and not too bad in the flavor department. All in all, the facility seemed alright, and I neither saw nor experienced anything untoward. It was not a bad experience. "

"I toured Brookdale Lake Ridge. The only thing that I didn't like about it was probably the distance I had to travel. However, the facilities were great. The upkeep of the buildings was nice. The people were very helpful. They have a nice rec room or a participation room, and I like that because my mother-in-law likes to play cards and stuff like that. The memory care was good. When we got there, they were already there playing games and singing along and stuff like that, so that was nice. The staff was wonderful. They met you down there at the door and asked if you wanted anything before we got started. They introduced us to the chef. I like the staff. The facility was very clean and very well kept. The layout was good. The rooms were comfortable. They were nice rooms. They had very nice hallways, and it was easy in and out. The bathroom was very clean."

"My parents are residents of this facility and it is without a doubt a top notch facility! It starts at the top with the owners, an awesome husband-wife team. It continues with the caregivers, who are well trained and care about the residents (as opposed to only being there for a paycheck) and the building is fairly new (3 years), very clean and pleasant to visit. If I could give 6 stars to Evermore Senior, I would!"

"Moving into Oaks of Wellington went smoothly. The building's entrances have security set up on the doors, and they think of everything ahead of time. They've been on this location now for 15 years or maybe longer. The community is immaculately kept. Along the long hallway, each apartment has a space where they can display things to give them their own identity. The people who lives there went out of their way to say hello In the hallway, they all say, "Hello! How are you?" I like that very much. It's difficult to live in this kind of place because people don't make eye contact, but not in this community. The apartment itself is well cared for, clean and immaculate. I'm enjoying it. I have a two-bedroom twp-bath with a balcony and washer and dryer in the space. You feel self-sufficient and have your independence, so I'm very happy. I have a good feeling about it, and people who live here for a while go out of their way to tell me how much they enjoy it. I've already been welcomed each day of the week, there's a group of women to meet and chat with. It's a nice way to meet people and I can ask questions about the apartment complex and things like that. When I made the rental agreement, they provided me with quite a bit of information, and there are guidelines on what to do and not to do in the apartments. The rules are very fair, don't impose on your liberty, and respectful of the other residents. The staff you meet in the hallways are very outgoing and friendly. The staff in the office are very open and prompt in answering your questions. I had a problem with the heating and it was gone within a day of me letting them know about it. I feel like I've joined a sorority, there are quite a few women here and there are lots of opportunity to build friendships. It's a very good feeling. There are no meals provided because it's independent living. But they had cookies and what have you, available each day. The layout is good, and getting through the door and up the elevator when you have a disability was very convenient. This afternoon they had a pizza get together and a get-together at least once a week that encourages everyone to come out and attend. There's a hundred residents living here, so many people don't come out. They had church services in the morning and evening on Sundays, an indoor swimming pool, and a fitness room that's well equipped. Once a month we make payments, and I found this community more economical than others. I also found out when signing the contract, they had a discount for Verizon services."

"I have a two bedroom apartment and find the rooms spacious. The layout of the kitchen is great and easy to move around. The walk in closet is a plus. I am enjoying my apartment. The staff has always been helpful and answered any questions that I have. They are great. Activities are starting for the residents such as crafts. Also game night and bingo."
