"My mom had to go to a nursing home for 20 days and then we were lucky enough to get a place at Yancey House. I was thrilled because it's so much better than nursing home. I learned about Yancey through the discharge planner at our local hospital. I was very pleased with Yancey House. The only thing was it was farther from my house. It was an inconvenience. It's not really a horrible inconvenience but it's really much farther. I really enjoyed their family night once a month and all the families would come to visit. They would make a big dinner for everyone. I thought that was really nice. "

"I put my loved one on The Landings of Rockingham's waitlist because they are all-inclusive. Not every bit of care is added on, and it is just one flat price, which was impressive. It's relatively new and very clean. The people that I talked to were very attentive to the residents. I have relatives in Reidsville, and they have relatives who are already at The Landings of Rockingham. The staff who gave the tour was very informative. And because my tour was right there at Christmas, they were shorthanded, so the staff talked to me, helped the residents, and unlocked the doors, all at the same time and all very well. And she was very nice. It was also better priced than the other place."
