"Spring Arbor is a fantastic and beautiful place. It’s a fairly new place and the rooms had good carpets and cabinets with nickel handles. They had good programs for the people there. They had music programs and dinner dances. The lady who worked with us at great length visited me at home a couple of times. "

"My mother stayed at Heritage Greens while recuperating from several surgies. I found the facility to be well maintained with a friendly staff. Even though she was confined to a wheel chair, she was able to participate in the numerous activities that they provide for the residents. There is even an onsite beauty salon. I enjoyed several meals with her and thought the food was restaurant quality. The food choices were more than adequate for each meal.I really liked that family was encouraged to come visit at any time and we were able to participate in the resident activities and meals. Visiting my mother at Heritage Greens felt more like visiting her home than visiting a medical facility.I did notice that there was a high turnover rate for the facility, but everyone that I interacted with was friendly and knowledgeable. My mother never had any complaints about the way she was treated and said she would miss bath time when her stay ended. She even suggested that she take up full time residency there when she was unable to adequately care for herself independently. "

"I have been very pleased with Brookdale Northwest Greensboro. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The place is nice, light, and bright. There are lots of windows. I'm quite happy with this place. He likes the food too. I have seen the people eating there and they seem to be happy, just talking and eating like you would see in a restaurant. The room is an ample size. My husband is sharing a room, but it is not too crowded. He has his own closet. They have an attached bathroom for their room. They have a nice shower with a fold-down seat and a hand-held shower. The room is clean and well kept. They have activities, but my husband has not been drawn into any of them. It is not their fault because he prefers to be by himself. Overall, it is a good value for the money."

"Chatham Ridge is new, clean, ready to serve, and had openings close to where I live. They were friendly and clear about what they’re providing. The food was good. "

"Carolina House was not as close to our house, but it was close. This one was our first choice. If we have to move my parents today, that's probably where we will go. I like that it was actually smaller. "

"My wife has moved into Brookdale Chapel Hill. I'm very satisfied with the experience we're having. I just wish I had tried to find a place sooner for my wife. I did quite a bit of research and they turned out to be the best prospect, and I'm glad we went there because it's worked out very well. I'm really impressed with the staff. They've been very, very responsive to anything that we've asked for. I'm talking about the management staff. Also the nurse assistants and the aides have been really, really very good in their daily care of my wife. The facility itself is very nice. As a matter of fact, that's one of the reasons I chose it after seeing a couple of other facilities; it's the nicest one I saw. My wife, due to her health, is immobile. She's not able to take advantage of all the entertainment, programs, and things that folks are getting together to do. She is simply unable to do those. There is so much going on and it is unfortunate that she can't, but I'm impressed with all the activities to do for their residents. For example, almost every afternoon there's some form of entertainment. They have entertainers come in either singing, playing the piano, and playing guitar providing a form of entertainment almost every afternoon in the week. It is worth the money compared to what other facilities I saw, which would have cost in the same neighborhood. I would say we're getting our money's worth."

"Brookdale High Point North was a lock down, it was kind of old, but as she said, it was built a long time ago, and they were trying to paint, and set down new carpets and stuff. It sounds a little dingy, but the staff is super nice. I want to go back there again to check it out. I thought the dining area was really nice, and setup really good for the people. I think once a week, they take the ones in the lock units out, but they have a lot of activities."

"Skeet Club Manor was fine, nice, clean and the programs been good. They have a lot of things that people can do on their own and they have trips where they go out as a group. There doesn't seem to be problems with other people. "

"I liked Carolina Reserve of Durham. I just felt that it was so small and compact compared to the other facility that's got two sunrooms, an outdoor area, and larger hallways. I kind of felt a little claustrophobic there. They were going through some renovations as well, but it was very nice and clean. The person that I originally had the appointment with was not there, so a gentleman took me around. He was still new and didn't seem to be extremely knowledgeable about which side was assisted living and which side was memory care, but he showed me where they ate (a restaurant-type dining area) and where they had therapy. I came in early so he did his best to accommodate me."

"Golden Years has me on the fence for a few reasons. The staff was wonderful; nice and energetic and very intelligent. The grounds and some of the things I noticed with the building just did not sit well with me. I did not like the fact they did not have a lot of flowers and trees surrounding the area especially flowers. Let the guests plant the flowers. I bet they would love that. I would even volunteer it. Spruce up the place a bit. The inside just needs redecorating I guess. Do not get me wrong, it does not look like bad in there but I think it just needs changing around. "

"My brother was at Making Visions Come True. The thing I liked best about it was that it was very clean and organized. It was a small assisted living facility. The staff members were very attentive and they cared about my brother. But one of the employees would get very frustrated with things and yell a lot. She yelled at my brother, and he didn't like that. With regards to amenities, my brother is a smoker, and they had a designated area for them to smoke apart from the building. They provided for them, so that was a good thing. However, they didn't have any comfortable chairs for them to sit inside the building. There was an area where they had lots of chairs for the residents there to sit and watch TV, but no comfortable chairs. So to me, that was the downside."

"Warren Care Services is an excellent facility. The attention each resident is given is far beyond what I have ever seen. If you are looking for a facility where your love one will be taken care of please give Warren Care Services a call!! You will not regret the decision! "

"Springview Assisted Living is a small place and it only has six residents so it's actually like a home. My stepfather has a private room and all of the staff are very nice. They have this family-like atmosphere in the place. The staff provided very good service and they also provide meals three times a day. I would recommend them because they are a small facility and that means they have less people and there is not a whole lot of noise. "

"The Oaks of Alamance was a very nice facility. It was definitely more spacious than the other one I saw, it also had a mixture of male and female clients, and they had entertainment rooms. People would come in and they would do the client's hair. They had a lot of amenities in addition to the care, the staff was really good, the young lady at the desk walked us around, she showed us the different layouts, the different rooms that they had available, and there was a private room. For semi-private rooms, they offered mechanisms for privacy, and they offered the ability to bring in additional equipment they want whether TV or monitors, and those were good options."
