My sister is at Brookdale Lawndale Park. I like the personnel there. Actually, our problem is trying to afford it. My sister needs a lot of care there, and so the rent over there is extreme in my way of thinking. I'm not impressed with the food either. I think they've had a problem with COVID, so they have few experienced personnel, because a lot of the people that they initially had left. So there is a lot of tuna salad or pasta and that type of thing; I think the food is better at other places. For activities they have bingo, various holiday-related activities, and people coming in and sing alongs and that type thing. They keep the residents entertained; they have good activities. The only thing that I can see that they would need to improve would be the diversity of the menu.

The assisted living and memory care at Brookdale Lawndale Park were both great. The people seemed to be happy with where they were. People were moving about. The staff has been awesome. They showed me the floor plans and anything that I might be interested in along the way. She did a good job. I got to see everything I needed and then some, because I wasn't sure what I was looking for all the way. The rooms have been more than adequate. They're very homey feeling and very comfortable looking. I did not see anything that required attention. I didn't see any cobwebs anywhere. It was very clean. The folks were very nice.

Barbie, the manager of Brookdale Lawndale Park, was very pleasant. Our tour was nice. We liked the activities and the apartment. Overall, it was a very nice and well-kept place and the staff members during our visit were very kind and easily approachable. Everything appeared to be clean. They were repainting some of the rooms that had been recently vacated. So, they were taking care of some of the rooms and renovating them. That was nice to see that they were keeping things fresh and current. There was a nice place for them to sit outside and enjoy the weather. It was a sheltered patio. There was an activity room for games and whatnot. The dining area was spacious and the front entrance was very nice.

Brookdale Lawndale Park was a nice facility. It's a separate facility from the assisted living. It was very clean. I did not have a chance to taste any of the food or anything. They said there were going to be activities going on, but I did not see any while we were there. It was supposed to be an activity time, but they were just all sitting alone in the main room. The staff was very knowledgeable and very helpful. There was one room that I was able to tour that was available. They're all shared rooms in the memory care area. There are no individual rooms. The room was nice and very clean. They had a fenced-in back patio.

I went to Brookdale Lawndale Park. The staff seemed very friendly and good. There wasn't security in the assisted living. The doors were open at all times. That was one thing we weren't sure about, but the staff said if they go to memory care, they're more secure. They have a salon and activities for the residents, and they will take my parents to the doctor, but we would have to meet them there. They had a courtyard and a library. There are some restaurants close by.

I visited Brookdale Lawndale Park. The staff was very knowledgeable. The lady who gave me the tour was professional. The facilities looked outdated, and they were not as clean as I would like. It was a small memory care facility. The rooms were very small. They had an outdoor area. I saw the kitchen and the living areas. They have what they call a spa room, where they give the patients their baths or showers.

The staff at Brookdale Lawndale Park was very good. The place was very nice. One thing I liked about it was it's all on one floor. The rooms they had were also nice. It had a bathroom in it, but it just didn't have a refrigerator, a microwave, or cabinets. It was still very nice though and it's very clean.

Mom is at the memory care part of Brookdale Lawndale Park. They worked on the place and got it nice looking. I love it. They are really working hard to get things back up and going well since COVID. They're doing more and trying to get the residents out of their rooms and do things with them. The activities are getting better. They have a few cooking classes. One day they were making cupcakes and then pizza. They started playing bingo again and whoever wins they let them pick something.

The staff at Brookdale Lawndale Park is very caring. They told me at one point that they thought of my mother as their grandmother. So she has a lot of aides that care about her and if she's having a bad day, they give her hugs. She's very fond of them and they treat her like a family member. They take very good care of the facility. They do activities like bingo and movie nights, and there's a little group of ladies that do crafts. I've eaten there a few times, too, and the food was adequate. The only thing is it's not always easy to get a hold of somebody in the evenings. My mother tends to fall and normally when she falls, we go to the emergency room and get her checked out, and then we come back and it's the evening, there's not always someone around to help me get her back to her room. They could have someone at the desk as long as the doors are open.

My mother has moved into Brookdale Lawndale Park. We are very pleased. The staff is very caring, kind, and attentive. Her room is spacious and kept clean. We are very pleased with the accommodations. One of the things that we really like about the community is that it is clean. It is freshly painted, and it is bright. We are very pleased with the way everything looks in this community. They have a variety of activities from games to musical performances. There is a great variety that would appeal to lots and lots of people. I think it was one of the more reasonable communities that we looked at, especially considering the quality of the rooms. We are very pleased with it. They have a hair salon, which she has taken advantage of.

We decided to go with Brookdale Lawndale Park for my aunt. I liked that the memory care was a separate building from the assisted living. I like that right off. That was one of our main things, and the size of the room was nice, and the number of people that were there was good. There weren't too many people. My aunt lived by herself for a long time and she stayed in a lot. I felt like the size, and the number of people that were in the memory care was perfect, it was like 20- something. We went around lunchtime and I was watching people, and the staff looked like they interacted well with the patients. I thought it was, really, really nice the way they interacted. They had a nice activity room. The courtyard was beautiful. They had a good activities program. I thought that was nice. The staff was wonderful. It was spotless. It really was very, very clean. I liked that they did not have a shower in the rooms. They had their own bathroom, their own toilet, and their own sink. But they did not have a shower in the room and she had to go out. She'd go into a shower place. And that was good because that would make her get out of her room. She would just stay in her room all the time if it wasn't for that. So, I like the idea that she had to go get a shower and she had to go get her hair done and she had to go wherever, she had to get out of her room and go moving around, which was good. I liked the location of the lunchroom. The location was great because she would have to go halfway around the area to get to the lunch room, and that was perfect.

I went to Brookdale Lawndale Park. I checked both assisted living and memory care. I would recommend them. The people were very nice. The facility was nice. The room was small, but cozy and nice. They had a library and a chapel. It was all decent.

I wasn't impressed with Brookdale Lawndale Park after looking at it. It's the least impressive of the four places that I've visited. The accommodations, in terms of the kitchen and so forth, seem to be on the sparse side, and access to the outside seems to be limited. It seems to be the least for accommodating activities. I just didn't see a lot going on there. The staff who gave the tour was very friendly and very informative. She knew her property and what she had to offer, and I think she was a good person to be in that position. Their dining area was spacious enough for their size. The other places have had more of the kitchen area, Lawndale Park was a little bit skimpy on the kitchen facility in the units. I noticed that they had a salon, a library, and a discussion area or room for gathering.

Brookdale Lawndale Park was outstanding. Everything was handled very first class. The person that gave us the tour was very knowledgeable. She sat down and talked to my dad and I about our needs for my mom, and everything that she's going through. She's just very empathetic. You could tell she had a good bit of experience with long-term care administration. The residents were actively engaged in activities and that struck us. They had a courtyard and a few residents were actively engaged out there. You could tell they were already pretty well set up for gardening and just different activities that they could do out in the courtyard. The hallways, the common areas where the activities take place, and the dining room seemed very clean. The different staff members made a point to come over to us and introduce themselves. I think that was pretty important too. The rooms were just pretty much what you'd expect. They certainly seemed very clean. One of the things they said was that the residents are pretty active, and that they would spend very little time in their room. It was pretty much just a place to be sleeping. They showed us one that had furnishings in it, and that they could provide or we certainly had the option to bring our own. The furnishings that I saw there seemed to be in good condition. We would have been comfortable using the furnishings that they provided. They provide three meals a day and snacks in the afternoon too. They showed us a menu, and the variety seemed pretty good. It looked like it would be pretty top quality.

My parents liked Brookdale Lawndale Park. They had 24-hour assistance in case there was an emergency. They loved the cafeteria. The food was good. They were satisfied with the bed, the size of the rooms, and everything. The staff was very good. They gave us a meal, and it was really good. The facility was very clean. They were very satisfied with it.

We've chosen Brookdale Lawndale Park for my mother-in-law, the place is absolutely wonderful, and we have no qualms with it. It's absolutely awesome. It is a very social community that she will easily fit right into. The staff is absolutely wonderful, they call us, and we've been able to call them. They are giving us information on a weekly basis, and it's been great. The facility is well run, it is very nice, and very kept.

The appearance of Brookdale Lawndale Park is nice. I did not see the dining facilities here. The quality of the staff there is less than the others that we visited. You look at the people in the facility, and sitting on the halls, and sitting in the recreation areas, and I was just not pleased with that type of atmosphere. The room is small, and they don't have apartments for two people, man and wife. It was clean, they took people out in the buses to get ice cream, or just a ride around, and they have facilities to take you to the doctor, the dentist, and to the grocery store.

I toured Brookdale, but I didn't like it at all. It looked like a hospital. There were no apartments, but more like rooms. It was clean, the lobby has a little reception area with a couple of chairs, but it has no homey feeling. The staff was nice, and was filling in for somebody, but she was friendly. The cafeteria or dining room was dingy. They have shared rooms and 2-bedroom apartments, which were separate bedrooms connected by a bathroom. It feels more like a nursing home than an assisted living.

My father has been at Brookdale Lawndale Park for 10 years. The service is good, and the place is clean. Dad is in a one-bedroom, that has everything he needs. He doesn't have complaints about it and enjoys his stay there.

My mom lives in Brookdale Lawndale Park. The atmosphere is good. My mom seems to be happy. I have the impression that they are accommodating, helpful, and friendly to the seniors. The location is good. It is in a nice neighborhood. The grounds are very nice, very clean, and well-kept. My mom’s room has a bathroom, and the room itself is furnished with her own furniture. It is big enough for her. They had sing-a-long, yoga class, and exercise class.

Brookdale Lawndale Drive was a very nice facility. I was impressed with it. The staff seemed to be very caring and compassionate. The one person who I talked to was very caring. I saw a room and was very pleased with it. It was clean and bigger than what I was expecting. I was there during lunch, and they fixed me food to go that was very good.

Mom stayed in Brookdale Lawndale Park for respite care for about 5 weeks. They’re an assisted living, so they’re not used to having someone that needs a lot more care. You have to remind them that this person might need a little more care than someone that’s there. They were very helpful. They’re nice rooms; they’re big and have plenty of room. I didn’t eat any food, but mom said it was good. The facility itself was clean.

Overall, I am satisfied with the care that my loved one is receiving now, as compared to when they first moved in. No place is perfect. The staff is very nice but could be more organized, they tend to, "pass the buck" so to speak, when problems arise. If you have a family member who receives medication through the VA, STAY ON TOP OF THIS! DOUBLE AND TRIPLE CHECK the meds they are being given and ones being kept in stock! The facility is clean but sometimes appears cluttered in the hallways. Also, beware that if you try and get in touch with staff in the evening hours, due to a problem that has occurred with a loved one after hours, no-one answers the phone and if you leave a message, "no matter how many times, nobody returns your call. It takes awhile for staff to respond to the red emergency cord when a resident pulls it also. So just be prepared to make the trip over there yourself to find help for you loved one. Over-all the facility is one of the better ones, just needs some improvement concerning direction and management of the staff. I feel my loved one is safe and in the end that is what matters most. I would recommend this facility to families looking for a clean safe place for a loved one.

The most attentive staff that I've observed were at Greensboro Place. I really liked the way the staff interacted with the residents. The only thing I didn’t like about Greensboro Place was that it was dark and dim.

My mother was in Greensboro Place. She is very happy there. She loves it, she loves the activities. She's not a very active person and she's always an introverted person, but she loves the security and always having someone around and she tell me one day she had lots of friend and there are also people who are in wheelchairs and people that can't talk well. She said she loves it that she can give them help with something and I love Greensboro Place myself for the cost and everything and because our family is very impressed with the living arrangement and how the living room is right here in the middle of the entrance and when you come through, everybody is in contact with everyone.

Well i have a relative who goes to Greensboro Living Center and i have to say that i am very impressed with the service that he is getting. From what i have seen, he is really happy to be in this assisted living facility. He has never had any complaints about this place. He told us the the staff is attentive to his needs and that they talk with him when he feels a bit lonely. One of the biggest things that i liked about this place was how clean it is. Since i go there on a regular basis i have a lot of chances to wander around and check the place out. Overall i can't find anything that is not to my liking. The bathrooms are kept clean and stocked daily. The visitation area is cleaned every hour so you never have to deal with trash that has been left behind by other people who visit their relatives or friends.

Need to emphasize with management the need to communicate with you on your loved ones issues as soon as they arise. Best to get this in writing otherwise things fall thru the cracks. Several things have occured and I was not notified. LArge staff turn over is a pet peeve and the place frequently smells. Gross floors and overall poorly maintained. Basicly understaffed for the types of residents they admit.

The staff are well below my expectations very confrontational if you disagree with them.If you comment to them they go out of there way to make you feel like you don't know what your talking about. Also they are not very good at keeping up with changes in patients medications.I have seen it take as long as a week to make the adjustments.I feel they have a beautiful facility but an incompetent staff it definitely would have greater potential under new managements and I would not recommend this home the way it is currently being run.If you are from Greensboro and need to find an assisted living for a family member you would be better off to look elsewhere.Greensboro place is a place I don't trust negligence is a word that comes to mind and I give them a Three out of possible Five. They get three and not as low as one or two because of there very nice facility the thing that sold me in the first place.

This location is on Lawndale Drive in Greensboro and is very easy to find. When you first pull up to it, there isn't very much to look at. In fact it doesn't seem quite desirable at all. Once you get inside though, it is one of the most exquisite assisted living facilities I have ever seen. The furniture looks like it has been hand picked and the staff looks like they were hand picked by some very knowledgeable people also. They seemed "prim and proper" as you could say. The grounds were very well kept and the guest seem like they were enjoying themselves. It was still early in the morning so I did not get to see that much but from what I did see, the facility was very well ran. The guests were well treated by the staff and acknowledged which is a big plus in my book. The calendar set up by Greensboro Place was full of events for the patients and there were plenty of "on-site" activities for them to do. The only set back was the view of the building from the outside. Do not get me wrong, it is not the view that counts but it could help the overall appearance some.
