"My Father was in their Assisted Living unit. Our family was very happy with the care he received. The Med Techs and Aides were very responsive and caring. Whenever Dad pushed his call button staff came quickly. The management was great with their communication and was very accessible. My Das has been in 2 other Assisted Living facilities before we moved him to Heritage Greens. It definitely is so much better than the other 2 he was in."

"I took a tour of Arbor Ridge at Kernersville for my father, and the community was really nice. The grounds, the outside, and the inside were well maintained. She showed us the kitchen area, the dining area, and the activities room. They had a hair salon and a barbershop. Everyone was very friendly, and the person who gave us the tour was very thorough. She was really good and very patient, and she took her time to answer our questions. She helped us understand how the process works, and that part was really good. I would feel comfortable putting one of my parents there. It was that nice; I was that pleased."

"I went through the assisted living at Brookdale Northwest Greensboro. I felt very well taken care of. I think it was a busier facility than the other place, but there were plenty of people that were sitting in groups chitchatting, and going down the halls. Some people spoke to us. The staff knew them by name. I liked the fact that they feel roomy inside. It's not like you put a single bed and a dresser in there and that's all you get. You have a living space as well as a bedroom. It was very well-maintained and clean. The staff was great. The meals in the dining room looked great."

"My sister will move into Kerner Ridge Assisted Living. The staff seemed knowledgeable, friendly, and caring. Her friends had their parents there, and they said the food was delicious."

"My parents and my aunt moved into Harmony at Greensboro. I liked the broad range of activities regardless of the person's physical capabilities; they're very inclusive of everyone. They have a very nice dining menu with lots of options, so the resident doesn't feel like they're locked into just the special of the day. They have lots of other everyday options. The staff has been very caring, responsive, and loving with the residents. It's a new facility that's less than five years old. The facilities are super clean, nice, spacious, and airy. They have a lot of outdoor space for those who can get outdoors. The food is very good. It's better than expected for that type of environment."

"The staff was fabulous and my tour experience has been awesome. They keep the residents engaged, when I was there they had music playing and the residents were sitting in the common area. They had a beautiful courtyard, and my parents' potential studio apartment overlooks the courtyard, which I loved. The staff seems to truly care about the people. I had a really good feeling that's why I went ahead and registered them and paid for a month. In the future, when it gets to the point that I need to move my mom, I'll look at them again. It's an older place than where my parents are now, it's not fancy, but we're not looking for fancy."

"I toured Carolina Estates yesterday. I liked how happy and well-pleased the people were. I sat down with two gentlemen and a lady during dinner, and naturally, I asked them questions about how they felt about the place, and I didn't get one negative review. They had a seafood bowl yesterday, and it was delicious. The staff who gave the tour was very informative, very nice, and polite. I also looked at the people who were on the ground floor, and I liked the way they did their landscaping. They had little sculptures in their yard. My only complaint was their parking. I use the aid of a walking cane, and I had to park almost at the back, which meant I had to walk to the front. They had a workout room, and they had a physical therapist. If you don't want to go down the buffet line, they would come to your table and take your order as if you were in a restaurant."

"Spring Arbor of Greensboro was very active. Some folks were gathered in different areas visiting, talking, or whatever. I liked the circular layout of the buildings, not just the assisted living, but also in memory care. Upkeep and maintenance were excellent. They have different types of rooms. The staff was very knowledgeable and very helpful."

"My aunt moved into Brookdale Lawndale Park, and they were very accommodating to my aunt. Everything was handled professionally with no bumps at all. It was a very easy process. They have welcomed her and made her feel very, very comfortable. She's very picky and doesn't find the food to her liking, but the food may be just fine. It is a very loving, warm environment with lots of hugs, and my aunt is driving there. I have been so pleased with how they have welcomed my aunt and how well she has settled in with them."

It takes Special Individuals to do this kind of work and each and everyone of them take this to HEART when it comes to their residents the Staff just don’t look at these individuals as residents they are Family. . "Mallard Ridge Assisted Living was very nice. Their staff was very excited and we enjoyed them. Both their marketing person and activities director were nice. The facilities were very nice, too. It's clean and the residents were very happy. They had an excellent activity director."

"I was very impressed with Brookdale Lexington. The memory care rooms were nice. The whole campus was nice and very clean. The people that we spoke to seemed kind and friendly. They were very nice and very knowledgeable. The director showed us around. She was very, very good at answering questions and doing the tours. Overall, it was a good place. I felt that it would be a safe place for my father, too, if we chose that. I felt comfortable there. They have a salon and a couple of gardens that they can go sit in and walk."

"The tour at Creekside Terrace was good. They were super nice. I went there with my mother yesterday and she liked it. I liked the cabinet in the rooms. The kitchenette area and the bathrooms were just slightly outdated. It's still nice and they had everything they needed. The facilities were great. The dining area looked very nice. I liked the way that it was set up. I really liked that they had a chapel and Bible study, and they had other activities, games, bingos, and puzzles. They've got an exercise area. There wasn't a lot of equipment, but they did say they were waiting on six new pieces of equipment. They were in the process of transitioning. Everything was very clean and all the common areas were updated and nice."

"We went to Brookdale Asheboro. We toured the assisted living first and then went through the memory care. They have a lot of very nice little garden patio sections. It was not necessarily dull, but it was a quiet place. It was nice as far as that goes. Activities and things were going on, but not a lot of confusion or anything like that, which is good for my father because he doesn't do crowds well. He doesn't like all the hustle and bustle. They can go to assisted living and when they reach the point of needing memory care, they can go where they've been and are somewhat comfortable with, so it's not a dramatic move. The staff was very nice and very considerate. It looked very clean and very well-kept. I did not see anything that was broken that needed to be attended to."
