We toured Spring Arbor of Greensboro. Their staff was topnotch, and their building was amazing. I'm sure it's a great place, but it just didn't fit my parents' needs as well as the other facility. A small portion of it was memory care, and the other part was assisted living. The assisted living was just gorgeous. It looked like they have lots of activities. On the assisted living side, they have amenities like a place to get your haircut and a coffee bar, which was very cool. If my mother was able to be in assisted living and my father on the memory care side, we totally would have taken that place. We definitely would have gone there if everything would have worked out. I only talked to the admin; I don't know the rest of the staff. They looked like they would be good.

Spring Arbor of Greensboro is fantastic. It's clean and homelike. My mother-in-law has been in both the assisted living and memory care since 2017, and they all have had the same people since the very beginning. They have very little turnover in their employees. They all know her name and knew us from the very beginning and they call us whenever there's an issue. We've had very few issues though and they did great during COVID. We also used to eat there a lot pre-COVID and the food was pretty good for institutional food. They have a lot of activities too. Before my mother-in-law declined, she attended and enjoyed everything. They were very creative during the pandemic to keep things up. Even when they couldn't have people in the facility, they would have patio concerts where the entertainers were outside and the residents watched them through windows that were just cracked open so they could hear while they kept a social distance. They've had animals, artists, local schools, music, and just about everything you could think of. It's pricey but I'm convinced that you get what you pay for and it's worth the money.

We have chosen Spring Arbor of Greensboro for my sister. It's excellent. The room is very well done and very clean. It has a kitchenette and a bedroom. They have a hair salon, an activities room, and a library. They also offer physical therapy. We were not able to eat there because of COVID.

The reason I chose Spring Arbor Of Greensboro for my mother is because they're very caring and very attentive. When we went there, we thought it wasn't a possibility because of the price, and they worked with us. They just showed more compassion. The place is excellent. If she falls, they immediately call me, they keep me up to date, and they are very attentive to her and her needs. I would highly recommend it to anyone. The staff is excellent, and after I have been there for a period of time, they make a conference with you, they tell you their evaluation of your loved one, and tell you what needs to be done. You couldn't ask for a better service. My mother is a picky eater but what she says is that the food is great, but the desserts are wonderful. It's very clean, when you drive up to it, they have lots of fresh plants that are blooming so it's very inviting. You don't see trash around it. They have bingo, exercise class, my mom hasn't participated much yet because she had to go into quarantine. They also have 2 activities director. When I went there, I saw a dance class where the older ladies were taking part in it. I personally think they're all very expensive, but this place is lower priced. And what you get for your money is so much more. She got a big living area where she's able to have a little kitchenette, chair, living room, a good sized bedroom and bathroom, and cabinets.

The thing I like about Spring Arbor of Greensboro is that it's a single story and they have assisted living. The thing I did not like was the lack of skilled nursing. They have beautiful grounds and a beautiful building. I like that it's on one floor because it's easier to get out in case of a catastrophe. While we were there, a van and a bus came back with residents who were out on a tour. They just went to see different places but didn't get out of the bus because of the virus. They also had other kinds of on-site recreational things going on. We saw menus there and the food looked extraordinarily good. They always have two to three options and there are soups and salads with each meal. It was very nice. The staff members that we were introduced to were very nice and very professional. The building is very nice. It's about eight to ten years old, but it looked brand new and was well kept with beautiful grounds.

For an assisted living facility this place has far too many deaths! 15 since June, 2016. 4 in the last week. Grossly understaffed. Something is definitely wrong here!

Spring Arbor of Greensboro had a really nice and open 1-bedroom. They're all on one level which was a plus. It's newer, has high ceilings, and a lot of nice features. The people in the office were very nice. It didn't feel as warm, and they had plastic tablecloths on the tables. It didn't have a warmth to it.

We placed our client in Spring Arbor. My daughter went with me. She has actually worked in a continuing care community and she knew more questions to ask. She liked the facility doctor, the unit, and the fact that all the staff were actively working. They had a good ratio too. Its family owned as opposed to a business sort of thing. It’s all in one community, but it depends on what your desires are for end of life care. They won’t take someone who is extremely aggressive. Spring Arbor had a really good memory care unit. It’s more home-like looking. When we first took her to Spring Arbors, she thought she was in a resort. There were a lot of things that were really impressive about Spring Arbors. They have a little café place, a library, and more community rooms of varying sizes. If the resident doesn’t want to be in their room in a shared room, there’s a place outside in the hall that they can sit and read if they want to. If they don't have a phone in their room, there is place they can sit and make a phone call outside of their room. Personally, one more thing that strikes me is I like the molding going down on the side of the hall. They had actually used something like trim work. It’s still smooth to the touch, but more rigid and easier to hang on to. I can use it for assistance to move down the hall. They’re just very thoughtful in a lot of things that they have done. They had nice outdoor areas too.

Spring Arbor was wonderful. It was a lovely facility. Our minister's mom was there. However, it was assisted living, and once I found out it was assisted living, I didn't eat and I didn't stay there. Anybody who could afford to be there, it was definitely the place. They had the same activities like bridge, bingo, and exercise. They had outings.

Spring Arbor is a fantastic and beautiful place. It’s a fairly new place and the rooms had good carpets and cabinets with nickel handles. They had good programs for the people there. They had music programs and dinner dances. The lady who worked with us at great length visited me at home a couple of times.

My mother-in-law is at Spring Arbor of Greensboro for three months now. She loves the place and I like it there too. The facility is new, just about two years old, and it's really clean. The rooms are spacious. The staff is really friendly. Mom does activities there like she loves painting and they also did some cooking over Christmas. They take them anywhere they want to go like to their appointments and to stores that they want to go.

My mother was a resident of Spring Arbor for a brief period of time. The front-line caregivers (CNA's) are wonderful. They clearly love these residents and do what they can to make these difficult situations better whenever possible. The facility is beautiful and clean. When Spring Arbor accepted my mom, they were taking patients that were Medicaid but when they filled their beds they stopped taking Medicaid patients. When this happened they started looking for reasons to have the Medicaid patients transferred to other facilities so they could replace those patients with private pay patients (more money). The administrator is only interested in the bottom line. This is what happened to my mother. They created a flimsy excuse to have her transferred to an inpatient unit to have her medications adjusted, then refused to take her back despite the fact that the staff and social workers at the inpatient facilty said she was fine and back to baseline. I feel like it was a conspiracy from the administrator and the nurse that was charged with making that decision, whether or not my mom could go back. On multiple occasions I witnessed other residents whose behavior was MUCH WORSE than my moms, but they were private pay as far as I can tell. I wish I had known this was how they were going to operate BEFORE I had my mom moved there. They don't treat these people as if they were patients that need healthcare, they treat them like they are a commodity and their main concern at the end of the day is money.

I chose Spring Arbor because of its value, location, and it's brand new. It was fresh and clean, everybody was congenial, and everything about the place was positive in terms of meeting the needs of my parents. They're moving in on Monday, and they're happy because they'd be together.
