Westchester Harbour was good. The place was very clean and welcoming. The staff was very nice and very friendly. It was a larger facility so there were a lot of things going on because they had so many residents. It was rather busy. Rooms were about average size. Not too large. Not too small. The furniture that was provided was average but sturdy. It seemed calm, peaceful, and inviting. They had more activities in that area. They have movies, singing groups from the local churches or organizations and provide music and presentations, and they take the residents out shopping.

My mom has been at Westchester Harbor for a year and half. It is not the same place from years ago when owned by the Wesleyan church. Lack of communication and sympathy for family members and what they are going through is lacking. The new memory care director Kim is super defensive (which tells me she has a reason to be) any time you ask questions. She is one of the rudest people I have ever dealt with professionally. The food is awful and often difficult for older people to eat. We practically have to call weekly to get someone to give my mom a bath. We had to beg them to brush her teeth. She has been accidentally overdosed by staff.. she was then “hospital dumped “ for the weekend even though she was a hospice patient and should never have been sent to the hospital but should have called hospice. They then tried to tell us they couldn’t take her back. That God a social worker and ER doctor got involved and practically made them take her back. We she became combative we were told we had to hire a full time sitter though we are self pay and pay 9k per month. They then proceeded to give us a second option of doubling a sedative. Basically we felt ganged up on and that we had no other choice. They drugged her and she wasn’t even able to lift her head again. She was also complete unable to walk. And never left wheel chair ever again. The problems start at the top with the new director Donna. . I WOULD NEVER PUT ANOTHER FAMILY MEMBER HERE!!! Don’t do it.

My aunt and uncle moved into Westchester Harbour and seem to be adjusting well. She has therapy, and people come in and hold services, and sing. The staff was very helpful, and I've been very pleased so far. My uncle said he's never had a meal that wasn't good.

Immaculate! The staff is wonderful. My mom was so impressed with the beautiful furnishings. My mom has been here for several months and the staff has never failed to return my calls and be certain that mom was well taken care of. We visited lots of other facilities in the area and none compare to this one.

I had the opportunity to visit while looking for a facility for my Grandfather. I had driven by it many times before because it was right down the street from my mother's home. It was an ideal choice because of the location and the fact that they have a special area for patients with dementia. It is a very nice facility. I am a stickler for cleanliness and I found it to be immaculate. The staff was very informative and answered all my questions.
