"My mom stayed here for many years, and totally enjoyed everything about Maryfield. She actually is the person who chose this site as opposed to us "kids". She was mostly in Independent Living quarters for about 8 years before health necessitated her moving to the nursing facility there for a relatively short period of time. The people working there are not only very capable, but they are also extremely caring and pay attention to their residents. I have had other friends in residence here both in Independent Living as well as Assisted Living. ALL have been extremely positive about their experience here."

"My mother went to Camden after hip surgery and had a great experience. Therapy staff were all great! The facility is clean and staff were all very pleasant and took great care of her. Food was acceptable given the many dietary needs of the entire building. Care was given in a timely manner. Staff/patient ratio was good overall. I would recommend Camden to other family/friends. My mother was please and felt safe and secure throughout her stay and has already decided to go there again. "

"SunBridge is actually a multi-tier system that works well from what I can see. I did not get a tour that I would have loved but I did get a quick walk through because there was something going on within the building. Outside was lovely. The grounds were kept up and there were a few elderly folk chatting it up and having a great time on a few of the benches placed outside. In fact, SunBridge is just one of many facilities across America owned by the same corporation so you know they must be doing well for themselves and once you step inside the building you will see what I am talking about. The staff was very helpful in answering questions that I had and the guest did seem to have enjoyed themselves while I was there. I would definitely give this place a try and see where it leads. "

"This facility is mainly designed for people who need a little more help getting around than others but the staff and management still encourage the patients to try as much as they can to do it on their own. The quality of the building isn't all that great as is the grounds but that can be worked on really easily. What I noticed when i was there was the level of care that the patients were getting. They were being attended to the right way and no one was being abused and I did not make myself noticeable while I was there. If there was anything I learned while being in the Special Forced int he US Army was being a ghost. The staff and management seemed to move all in a "robotic" sense as they all knew what they had to do when they had to do. If you are looking for looks, I would not choose this facility but if you are looking for decent care then you might want to give this one a try "

"WhiteStone was a very nice place. They're expanding it right now, so for anybody who wants to live there, they will be happy. The buildings are going to be fantastic. I liked the fact that there is a chapel too, a workshop, and there were a lot of people who were my age. The staff was very, very pleasant. The one-bedroom was comfortable, and was the right size. It's about 1,000 square feet."

"My mother has been in River Landing at Sandy Ridge. The staff and personnel there go above and beyond, including everybody from therapists, nutritionists, and the nurses. They have exceptional CNAs. They just go above and beyond trying to find ways to accommodate my mother. They try to make her situation better and find ways to engage her. She is paralyzed on her left side, but her mind is still mostly there. She had a major stroke, so they try to accommodate her in every way possible. They let all their residents participate in activities that they want to take part in. They have outings, too. It's a fantastic place. When you have family and friends come in, they try to accommodate in every way possible, as far as meeting places or celebration areas. It's just a wonderful, wonderful place. My mother was in a private room, which was set up very nicely. We were able to bring stuff in to make it more homey-looking. They had personnel that came and hung pictures where we wanted them. They moved TVs on the walls where we wanted them and things like that. They tried to make everything as homey and comfortable as possible. She has a hospital bed. The room was big enough for Hoyer lift to come in to be able to transport her from the bed to the chair and all of these things that are required for her care. Now she is in a shared room, which is very nice as well. They have the same accommodation there, too. They even have a TV wall mount, so the TV could be turned wherever her wheelchair is and accommodate whatever her needs are. It's an exceptional place. A lot of the food is not seasoned because most of the patients that are in that section have restrictions with salt and that type of thing. They have two restaurants that you can go and get food when you're visiting. You could bring some food to your loved one as well. It's not seasoned like home, but they still go above and beyond. They serve high quality food. They have an outstanding activities director and assistant person. The nurses and CNAs also plan activities on weekends when the actual activities director is not there. The whole staff is just amazing. It's a very, very expensive place. There are other facilities where my mother could go for a couple thousand dollars less, but I know it would not meet any of those five-star markings that River Landing at Sandy Ridge does. Even though it's more expensive, it's well worth it."

"The facility was clean, they had friendly staff and they appeared to be concerned with their residents. The facility provided various activities for residents who were able to participate. There were events such as game night and movie nights that allowed residents to be able to get out of their rooms and mingle with other residents. Each hallway had a cute name such as "Robin Way", which made the place feel like home. Instead of just having a room number, they had "street" to go to. The staff seemed to be knowledgeable and the residents seemed to like them. They treated residents with care and respect. Since most of the residents are elderly, it was nice to see them give respect. They called patients Ms. Or Mr. and their names. Even though many of the residents are older and sometimes rude, staff knew how to deal with it properly. It was nice to see the staff attempt to make the facility feel like a home away from home for their clients. "

"My mother stayed at Friends Homes. It was a great place. They were very kind. The staff got to know my mom until the end. I knew there was a problem, and I called to have a welfare check. I called the nurse that we had been working with, and she didn't go check on my mom. As it turned out, my mom had fallen. She couldn't get up, but she waited until she heard other people in the hall going to dinner. She just yelled until somebody responded, so I don't know how long she was on the ground. She then went to the hospital and we discovered that she most likely had lung cancer. And I think that's not their fault at all. But other than that, the staff was fabulous. My mom said she didn't have to cook the food, so it was great for her. My mom was a difficult person, but she was reasonably happy there, which for her was probably as happy as she had been anywhere. Every other staff member was phenomenal. The facility was very nice. It's a very well-established home. They have anything that you could want. They had fabulous activities. The price was very reasonable for what she got."

"My brother was a resident from November 2022 till October 2023.I would like to thank the staff for all that they have done f for my brother. He was very pleased there and the staff was wonderful to him, actually Spoiled him even more. My brother was a very proud man, at first he didn’t know how to accept help from anyone but me. You all kept on offering help and he gained respect for you all, and started to accept help when he needed it. The staff You also helped me In more ways than one. I didn’t have to worry about him getting the care that he needed at that stage of his life. I felt that he was safe. After 10 years of making sure that he was safe, I could sleep at night. And if I had to care for him all over again I would. Thank you"

"We sent a patient here who was at a point that we really weren't sure he would make it. I went to see him today and he looks amazing. Your staff has done a great job with him. He has been very pleased with the care and is glad he came to you all. His wound is half the size it was before and he is much healthier. We look forward to partnering with you all more in the future. Take care! "

"We went on a Saturday unannounced to Guilford Health Care Center. The people were very friendly and gave us a tour of the whole place. It was very clean, all the residents seemed to be happy, and there were a bunch of them out on the porch, talking, and having a nice time. They had menus posted up on the wall for what they were going to have for lunch and dinner, and the menu seemed very nice. They explained everything to us, they were very kind, and we really liked it. They have a long-term section and a rehab section. They have a nice rehab room with a bunch of equipment. They showed us a lot of different kinds of room, and there's lots of halls for everyone to walk down. They also have a porch outside for everyone to sit on."

"My 93 year old mother was here for about 5 weeks recovering from a broken femur and getting physical and occupational therapy to enable her to get back on her feet to live her best life. All the staff were very attentive to Mom's needs. The rehab staff are fabulous and caring. The food looked delicious and the menu was varied. My Mom's only complaint about the food is that it wasn't hot enough when it arrived at her room. If there was a microwave that a family member could use to heat up the food that would be helpful. (I am not recommending microwaves in every room, just a community microwave that could be used occasionally) The rooms are very nice and bright. Mom had a good view of the garden area which was pretty. I like that there is a front porch with seating so that we could visit outdoors and I could get Mom out in the fresh air for a little while as being in a room can feel isolating. The medical staff kept me and my brother up to date on what was happening. I am very happy with the care mom received and I would recommend this nursing center to anyone looking for a good place to rehabilitate. "

"If I were to retire right now, it would be to Heartland. I pulled up into the parking lot and it seemed like I was pulling into a piece of blissfulness. Everything was pristine, from the grounds to the way the buildings were in place. Every single person (and I am not joking here) had a smile or grin on their face. I walked through the double doors and was greeted by an lady who had a smile from ear to ear. She either enjoyed her job or she put on a great show. She explained to me what Heartlands was all about and then she proceeded to let me take a visitor's pass and be on my way. I took a stroll through every turn I could, staying away from the restricted areas and trying to stay out of the way and just paying attention to how patients and caretakers responded to each other. I did not see one ill-manner towards anyone at all. I was astonished. This facility definitely gets five stars. "
