My mother-in-law moved into Clapps Nursing Center, and we like it. The place is very clean and well taken care of. Everything is in tip-top shape. The staff is very friendly and very knowledgeable, and they seem to be on top of everything as far as what she needs and what she likes. They have craft time, and people come in singing and doing different things with them. The food is wonderful. They give her a choice if she doesn't like what they're serving, and she has always enjoyed it.

My 93 year old mother was here for about 5 weeks recovering from a broken femur and getting physical and occupational therapy to enable her to get back on her feet to live her best life. All the staff were very attentive to Mom's needs. The rehab staff are fabulous and caring. The food looked delicious and the menu was varied. My Mom's only complaint about the food is that it wasn't hot enough when it arrived at her room. If there was a microwave that a family member could use to heat up the food that would be helpful. (I am not recommending microwaves in every room, just a community microwave that could be used occasionally) The rooms are very nice and bright. Mom had a good view of the garden area which was pretty. I like that there is a front porch with seating so that we could visit outdoors and I could get Mom out in the fresh air for a little while as being in a room can feel isolating. The medical staff kept me and my brother up to date on what was happening. I am very happy with the care mom received and I would recommend this nursing center to anyone looking for a good place to rehabilitate.

My interaction with the Staff has been amazing. They are compassionate to all my Mother's needs and here well being. I honestly cant imagine putting my Mom any where else because I have seen other facilities and none can compare. Thanks to all their caring staff I know she is being well takin care of.

This is a great facility and they have very caring staff. They are well staffed and mother enjoyed the food so much. All staff worked very hard to meet the needs of the residents. The administrator Danielle H. is amazing and her husband Grant. The best place to be when you or a loved one needs extended care.

Clapps Nursing Center is phenomenal. Everybody that I talked to recommended it, from the hospital down to anyone I ran into. I have nothing bad to say about them. They have a big heart with a sense of family and they're making this whole process doable for my family. It's a wonderful facility. When my mother got taken to the hospital, the staff members went to check on her. They go beyond. The food is good.

My uncle was there for less than two hours and found by hired sitter on floor, naked in poop and bleeding from head. Had just arrived there from hospital and was at risk for falls. Had to go right back to hospital and get seven stitches and will be there at least two days. He will NOT be going back to Clapp's. M Causey

We had to pick a place for her after hospitalization. We chose Clapps Nursing Center because they had a good reputation. They did a good job. Their care was excellent. I never felt like Clapps lacked staff. All their staff was actively working. But their facility was not as nice as where she is now. It’s more institutional looking in appearance, but in atmosphere it’s very family like. They did not have any carpeting on the floors. The rooms were smaller. But, I don’t think they need to improve anything. Clapps is very clean. They did what she needed from the hospital. They controlled her urinary tract infection, and she got more food.

Clapps is a beautiful facility and I have nothing bad to say about it. It's a small community and everybody is just caring. Mom seems to be happier there and she participates in some activities. They try to keep her active and they have a rehab center to keep her busy.

Well to start it off i would say that this place was up to par by my own personal standards. From the couple of times i went there i believe that it was one of the nicer assisted living facilities that i have been to. The staff was relay friendly with me the second that i walked through the door. They where eager to help me find a nice older resident to interview since not every resident there had visitors often. While i was there i got to wander around for a bit when i was walking down the halls of the facility. I observed that the entire place was of proper cleanliness. The floors did not have any dirt or litter on them, the walls where sanitary, and the place had a rather pleasant odor. The main thing that surprised me was the bathrooms. I could not find a single speck of dirt in either of the two that i went into. Every stall was constantly stocked with toilet paper and seat covers. The more i looked around the place i only saw positive things. The staff was super friendly with the residents and they had a smooth way of operating the facility. All and all i would give them a five star rating due to the fact of how impressed i was with the entirety of the place.

The outside of the facility needs a little work but that wasn't my main problem. Waiting is. That is my biggest pet peeve. I walked in and waiting 10-15 minuted before anyone besides the guests acknowledged me. Maybe they thought I was waiting for someone but they could have at least asked. Finally, I got to the desk and asked for a tour but no one was available of course. Half the sites I went to today were not available but that's okay at least I got a brochure. I sat down and looked at it a bit and talked with the patients for a while to see what they thought of the facility and for the most part they were content. That was their word, not mine. For that reason and for my waiting, I will not recommend you visit this facility.
