My aunt's sister-in-law lives at Heritage Greens, so we've been there to visit her. The staff looks like they care and they have some great activities for all the people inside. The staff is very friendly and very courteous. We joined her for lunch, and it was very good. It wasn't bland or anything like that. They have good menu choices. Cleanliness was fine. It looks like the carpeting is showing a little wear over the years in the hallways. They seem to fix anything that's broken. They do a great job with the residents. I participated in the trivia. They have cards, bingo, book clubs, and puzzle rooms. They have a lot of different things. They have suites, which are one room for everything. You got your bedroom, your living room, and a little kitchenette. The two-bedroom apartments were OK, but they were too expensive.

I looked at Heritage Greens for my aunt. It was a beautiful place. I loved the tour. The young lady was wonderful. However, it was just a little bit out of our league as far as the monthly fees. The rooms were beautiful. They were gorgeous. Everything was beautiful. They were having some type of event in the dining area, but the facility was just gorgeous.

Heritage Greens was nice. It's a fairly large place. The staff was professional and friendly. The rooms were very nice, very clean, and spacious enough. They had a courtyard, too. The only drawback for me was the price.

I thought the room I saw at Heritage Greens was nice. You could have your bed there, a chair, and some things from home. I liked the fact that it had an area where it had a small refrigerator, a microwave, and some little cabinets. It had a very nice bathroom with a nice shower. It's easy to get in and out. They also had an exercise area and church service on Sunday morning for those who want to do that. It was very nice. The people that took me around were very nice. They answered all my questions. It had a dining room and then another little area where you could go get something to eat.

We chose Heritage Greens for my sister because they had better resources and were more accommodating to her needs. What I liked best is they have a variety of activities. They have activities for people that are interested in music, the arts, exercising, getting to know each other, and outings for shopping or outings to events. They have a very full calendar of things for people to do regardless of what their interests or age might be. The rooms are very good in terms of ease to become familiar with. The layout is more circular than rectangular, so that allows for more interaction with other people in other departments. The staff is very professional, very timely, and very receptive. I haven't tasted the food, but my sister says she likes it a lot.

Heritage Greens is the one that I'm preferring right now. In the room, they don't have that heating unit on the wall that makes a lot of noise. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that meals were not included. They were going to give me one meal a day for a year, and TV was not included. The apartment's size, layout, and everything else was fine. They even had a bay window in the apartment. They had a library and an outdoor area. I had lunch there, and their meals were very good.

The staff at Heritage Greens were very friendly and helpful, and everything looked pretty good. It was a place that we would consider. Everybody that we saw seemed friendly and helpful. They had some activities every day, like there was a group doing crafts while we were there. The room was nice and fairly big. The one we saw had good storage and was overall pretty nice. Their dining room was fine, they had several separate small dining areas, so we saw one of those. Each section eats in a separate dining area. It was clean, but it just wasn't as clean and nice as some other places I've seen.

My mom has moved into Heritage Greens. We chose it because it was the best of the bunch. It had the most activities, and that was a big one that I was interested in. It's very clean and very well-kept. They have lots of activities for seniors. Also, they were very easy to work with and get information on the establishment. They have overnight trips and shopping trips. My mom's already been to the Van Gogh exhibit in Raleigh. They have long trips (what I would say full day trips). The amenities are wonderful. Their food's very good, and they offer a café. The staff were excellent. I haven't met anybody that falls down on that. They're all cordial and efficient.

My mother is in Heritage Greens. She was in independent living and we had to move her to assisted living. The independent living was excellent, and there was good communication. They have the same thing down at the assisted living place. It is great. The staff members appear to know what they're doing. They're good. The maintenance crews are prompt and take care of things. I have no complaints. She's got dementia and we're having some issues with her eating and everything, but they've got a good selection and she said it's good. They remodel the room between people. They asked us what color we wanted it painted, they upgraded the flooring, put in granite countertops, and come in with housekeeping and collect trash. She's only been in the assisted living part for two days. So far, it's excellent. I think they try to do a good job with the food. They've bent over backward to help accommodate what she needs.

I saw both assisted living and memory care at Heritage Greens. I would recommend it. The staff seemed nice. The place was clean, and the rooms were very cozy and seemed very comfortable. I didn't really see a whole lot of the amenities and all that. I just read that stuff, and then they walked me through the facility. It was nice. They had a game room, a music room, and a couple of social areas. It was a nice place.

We toured the Heritage Greens last November. The tour was very informational, and they took their time and explained everything to us about what their facility offered. We had a tour of the area and even a two-bedroom room just to see the layout, and the people were very nice, very nice. When we got there, the gentleman, was already with somebody else. And it was kind of going over, so they had us sit in the dining room and they brought us dessert while we waited. It was nice downstairs. Some individuals were sitting around. They had some music going. They were conversing. There was a fireplace, and it just seemed like everybody had a very nice time. They were just very relaxed.

I liked the community aspect of Heritage Greens. I liked the activities available, the openness, and the dining facility had a lot of choices available. The room had a patio and that was something that I was very impressed with. It had a lot of outdoor space that was usable. The person who gave the tour was very knowledgeable, caring, well-informed, and offered to assist me. This was something that I didn't have a lot of knowledge about, and she was willing to fill in the blanks and help me with that. So, she was very professional.

My sister has been in Heritage Greens for three weeks now. There are different packages, but she bought a two meal a day package. She makes her own breakfast, usually oatmeal. She has lunch and dinner there, and she likes it. I've had a meal or two there, and I thought it was good. It's not great, but it's good; that's good enough. The activities are good. The handyman service is great. I ordered her a day bed and had it delivered there. They put in a maintenance request, and one of those guys put it together for her. I like that a lot. They have medical/doctor transportation program. You fill out a card at least 72 in advance, and they will take you to your doctor's appointment. I'm not really dissatisfied with anything; I've been pleased with everything so far. It's a very nice building, very nice units, and nice community spaces. I feel like it's a good deal. She has a nice studio apartment, two meals a day, and she gets her room cleaned twice a month. It seems like a friendly place.

Heritage Greens was very clean and pleasant. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. They had all the amenities in the room, as well as a little cafe where they could take their breakfast or lunch if they didn't want to go upstairs to the cafeteria. There was a courtyard, a little garden area, and a little patio area where they had a grill if they wanted to have cookouts.

I toured Heritage Greens for my grandmother. The community was great. When I got there, they didn't know I had a tour schedule, so we had to stand in the lobby for a little while. They figured out what was happening, and then they were very nice, and they were very respectful of our interests and timelines. I asked very quickly about the length of stay, and they said they have a 30-day minimum preference. They were quick to show me what was important to me. They made me think that if I wanted that kind of service, that would be about as good a place as I could get. I met some of the staff there, the CNAs, and they were very nice. I saw the rooms, too. They also had some nice activities. I saw the calendar and they had bingo, singing, and other kinds of listening to music. They have trivia and movies, too. Those are the ones I paid much attention to. They had nice dining. It looked great.

I toured Heritage Greens. I saw the people there, and the units that I went in to see were nice. They were clean and looked pretty nice, and there's a lot of things going on there. The man who was the marketer was really friendly and was offering all kinds of perks to get me to come on there. I saw their 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom apartments, they were nothing outstanding but they were clean and looked like they could work for me. They're located near I-40 so it's easy to get to.

I was very impressed with Heritage Greens, and I think it was pivotal in getting my brother and his wife to decide that they wanted to move there. The thing that interested me so much is that in their independent living part, they have this list of all kinds of other services, like an a la carte list. If you're in independent living, but you still need help every morning, getting yourself organized or taking a shower or whatever, they can arrange for that, but you pay for it. They're not connected to any big package or anything. If you need it for two weeks, fine, if you need it for two years, fine. I think it's a brilliant idea. I certainly was impressed by it. It's really a good idea to have options like that, that people can select when needed. The apartments were very nice and nice-sized. They're oriented mostly to the east, so they get a lot of good light. I only met the marketing director, and I was very impressed with him. They were very cordial. I just saw their front porch area and the entry area, but I didn't really see any of the exercises or anything like that.

Heritage Greens was very nice. The staff, the facility, everything was excellent. It's very clean and looked kept very well. I was impressed with everything. They had a game room, a library, and an exercise room. It was great. They had a courtyard and it was good. It's well maintained. Everybody was friendly and caring from the minute we walked in (the residents as well as the staff). It was a very friendly place.

Heritage Greens was really good because of the way it was laid out. You don't have to go down the corridor to get somewhere because everything's in a circle and I liked that, but the one-time fee was just too expensive. I visited the memory care and the rooms were fairly good. It was homey and I got good feelings about the place. When you walk in, it's just very pleasant. Cleanliness was also good and the lady I talked to was very nice. We had questions for her, and she answered them.

I went to Heritage Greens. I love the entrance to it, I love the inside of it, and I love the common rooms and the dining room. They had this monstrous fish tank that was just beautiful. They served us lunch, and I was very disappointed with the food. I really don't like the salesperson. I put down $500 because I thought this is going to be the place. I called the saleslady and I said I've decided not to go with Heritage Greens. I said I understand I won't get the $500 back, and then she started asking me some questions, which was fine. When I told her the deal I got on the other place, she said, "You know, that's just too good to be true." I didn't like that. It's like telling me I'm stupid and I've made the wrong decision. I didn't think that was professional at all. She even called again a few days later just to confirm, and I said I took the other one. I was not impressed with the sales rep at all. The other people seemed very nice. The apartment was on the first floor. It was very dark, but it was very pretty. They had crown molding and it was painted a beautiful color, but it was very dark. Outside the window, there were hedges, which covered almost the entire window, so I wouldn't have gotten a whole lot of light coming in. It almost felt like I was in a basement. The kitchen was absolutely absurd. The kitchen sink was so small, and it didn't make sense to me. I also did not like their pricing at all. They offered you a price for the apartment, but for your meals, you could choose one of three plans. You could choose the bronze, the silver, or gold. The silver, you got two meals a day, and the gold, you got three meals a day. I also thought the pricing for the meals, if I was going to bring in a guest to have dinner with me, was absolutely ridiculous. The food was not good, and I would never have paid that at a restaurant for that kind of food. I saw how easily they could increase prices. If not on the room itself, they could do it on the meals anytime they wanted to. It's a beautiful place and I think a lot of people enjoy it, but I was pretty much out of their price range when I started adding in all the other things.

My aunt has moved into Heritage Greens. She's doing wonderful. She enjoys it there. It's very clean, it has beautiful gardens, and she enjoys the outside time there. She enjoys being around others. This is her first placement. She had not been in memory care before and she transitioned very well there. The staff is very friendly, but they can improve on communication a little bit. They asked me what I needed initially, but I haven't had a whole lot of contact with them since then, other than when I go over there. The food is really good, which she enjoys. They have some scheduled activities. They've had crafts and they had a 4th of July activities. We haven't been involved in the assisted living part, but they have had different events for them. They have a hair salon that you can make appointments with.

My mother has been placed at Heritage Greens. We like it. It's a really nice facility, it's clean, and there are a lot of staff there who are involved with the residents and get them active. Compared to the other place we visited, I think Heritage Greens is a little bit better kept up and there are more staff. It's just a little bit different experience.

Heritage Greens has been good for my mother. She's in the memory care unit. They wanted to kick her out after the first night because she was yelling and screaming. A consultant, who is a geriatric medicine physician, came in and watched my mom for two days. She's gonna work with my mom one-on-one, and they found her for me, this person who does this. My mom said she likes it there, so that's all I can ask. I like the way they work and the way they're set up. The way the memory care is set up is open, it's not like hallways with little tiny rooms. It's set up family style. You walk out of your room and walk into the living room, and then there's a kitchen area and a TV out there. I like the way that they haven't given up caring for her. They work with me, they call me, they tell me what things are going on. The last place just left her in a chair pretty much, and this one also tests family members for COVID, so I can visit her like twice a week. Like if I get tested Monday and I get tested on Wednesday I get a 24-hour window to actually see her. That's different from any community I know of. Right now one of their staff members got COVID so I can't go visit. I think they're not always great, but when I called to report something that I heard, when I was on the phone with my mom that person was reprimanded. If the staff isn't acting properly and you find out they do something about it. They keep working on things, they don't just let things on. It's clean, it's well taken care of, and well thought out. They're also doing therapy with her. They cut back on activities because of COVID.

We looked at Heritage Greens in Greensboro and they were extremely nice. I was very, very impressed with every staff member. I don't care if you were taking out the trash or whatever, but they smiled and spoke to us; just clearly extremely professional people. It was a great experience. The place was very clean and the staff was extremely friendly. The rooms were adequate, certainly not terribly large, but bright and very clean. It seemed very good. I had a sense that they have great communication with their residents. Of course during COVID people aren't using amenities like they were, so I didn't have a good sense of it.

The residents at Heritage Greens were very active and moving around. They had a band playing music and singing. It's a very small facility, which I didn't like, but it was really nice. They give you a little stovetop, but the room itself was very small. The staff during the tour was great. They had an activity room and a dinette area that went out on to a patio. The dining area looked nice.

Moved our mother here from another retirement community almost 2 years ago. Excellent staff, friendly, helpful. Do very nice job helping new residents become familiar with facility and have been extremely responsive to any questions or concerns about mother's ongoing care. Food is excellent and with many options including informal cafe. Rooms are very nice and staff has been great in helping to make changes in room to accommodate Mom's specific needs.

Our experience so far with Heritage Greens has been very good. My grandmother is very pleased, and the staff is wonderful. They have different floor plans. My grandmother is in a private studio apartment with her own bathroom, it's very nice, clean and spacious. They have their in-house rehab team there. They also have a fantastic activities department that takes them on outings outside the community several times a week. They have about six to seven activities during the day like music, crafting, or going out to eat. Theyre very appropriate, it's just like a true retirement setup. What stands out is the fact that the place is very home-like and not very institutional at all. It's very private but very accessible to the health care staff as well. So my grandmother is monitored but at the same time she has her own privacy. They have a beauty salon, a music and movie room, chapel and workout room. There's also a beautiful dining room, but then they have a separate café if you don't want a formal meal. The staff is wonderful, and the food is really good. They keep the place very clean and actually more cost effective than assisted living.

I visited Heritage Greens, and I found it very interesting and very informative. The different host or hostesses that told us about the layout, the food, and the laundry were all very nice. It was just a nice visit. Right now, theyre doing construction in the main room, and I thought that was interesting. I liked the way the assisted living apartment was organized into two rooms and a bath, and I liked the windows in it. I liked the fact that some people decorate their doors, some people dont, and it seems to be OK. I felt that the assisted living portion was built a couple of years ago and needs repainting and resealing.

Heritage Greens was very clean. I liked the layout; it was all at one floor. It had little screened-in porches, which were very nice. However, we did not like the rooms because the only room they had available was a companion room, and we were interested in a private room. The residents were in the common room playing with a ball. Everybody seemed to be having a good time. It looked like the residents were happy. The staff was very involved in the activities. They were good.

I cannot express enough how impressed we are with the entire staff and operations of Heritage Greens Retirement Community. From the moment we went to visit as an option for our Dad who has Alzheimers, we were welcomed and made to feel as though our Dad's specific needs were of utmost importance. They have delivered over and over. I cannot recommend HG enough.

Moved my mother July 22, 2016 & it has been the best move ever. They are caring & helpful in every way they can & makes the new resident at home. Anything you ask they will give you an answer as soon as you ask & they don't wait a month, they have someone right on the task. The dining in my eye is a 5 star dining experience! Extremely happy with our move! Rebecca Turnbull

My father-in-law was at Heritage Greens, and the care was not as attentive and professional as the care where he is now. Because we were new to the disease and we were dealing with issues, we didn't know what kind of care we were getting. I knew I was struggling there with him and with his progress, but I didn't know that the facility had a lot to do with that. Looking back, in comparison to where he is now, I know the staff can make a big difference. They could definitely improve on communication and the attention when the resident's family comes in. They also need to raise the bar on their professionalism and their investment in the resident.

I toured Heritage Greens over a year ago. I liked the fact that it had all three stages. You can start in independent living and then move to assisted living if you need to. You do not have to move to a whole different community. The people I talked with were very nice.

Heritage Greens offered everything that she was looking for. The place was convenient and well laid out for her to be able to maneuver. The staff seemed to be very welcoming, concerned, caring, and interested as well. The only thing that I would say would be a negative is that I am a little concerned about the fact that they have a kitchenette with a stove.

The assisted living unit in the Heritage Greens was small, and everything was on one floor. My mom was in a one-bedroom apartment, and it was a little spacious. The staff was very caring. They had a very good director of activities. They had brain games, beach volleyball, trips, and music programs.

My husband's grandmother lived here for just over a month before she passed away. We have had nothing but problems when trying to reach someone who would speak to us about her account. We were finally given the information and now over 2 months later that information has changed. It has been a very bad experience with having to deal with the death and then the run around we have gotten on top of it. It has been a very unprofessional experience.

We liked Heritage Greens. It’s not new but it’s nice and the atmosphere was really good there. The front door was wide open with big windows and a nice big room where people can sit around in chairs and talk. It was very nicely decorated. They had lunch for us; you go in and sit down at a nice table with a cloth on it. It was just first class all the way. The food was wonderful, there were several choices to make and they had a very nice salad bar. They have large rooms with big windows overlooking the grounds. Everything was nice and clean.

The facility, all the decors and the entrance looked like it was high security and on the surface it looked prettier, but I don't see the focus on the relationship and interaction with the community. I just don't see that there, although their staff was helpful.

My mom's been at the Heritage Green assisted living before. The place was fantastic and everything was above board. They just didn't meet some of my parents' needs. But, as far as the staff is concerned, they couldn't have been better, we have no complaints against them, whatsoever.

The staff there was very friendly and accommodating to the needs of the residents. The residents themselves seemed very lively and had many activities available to them. It was a joy to be able to read to the citizens and have them so active in the process. The facility was very clean and was very bright. Since the facility was near a variety of shops, the residents were able to visit them with transportation provided. I saw that there was also an Alzeimer's care center for patients with the illness to be looked after. The library itself was very spacious and included many literature that would be relevant to the residents. There were handrails everywhere which would help the residents move more safely in addition to the staff being on hand to help any resident who had trouble. There were large call buttons for when anybody had an emergency and I actually witnessed one go off when a resident slipped and was immediately helped by the staff.

My mother stayed at Heritage Greens while recuperating from several surgies. I found the facility to be well maintained with a friendly staff. Even though she was confined to a wheel chair, she was able to participate in the numerous activities that they provide for the residents. There is even an onsite beauty salon. I enjoyed several meals with her and thought the food was restaurant quality. The food choices were more than adequate for each meal.I really liked that family was encouraged to come visit at any time and we were able to participate in the resident activities and meals. Visiting my mother at Heritage Greens felt more like visiting her home than visiting a medical facility.I did notice that there was a high turnover rate for the facility, but everyone that I interacted with was friendly and knowledgeable. My mother never had any complaints about the way she was treated and said she would miss bath time when her stay ended. She even suggested that she take up full time residency there when she was unable to adequately care for herself independently.

I decided to take a stroll through Heritage Greens because I had actually been there before when my great-grandfather had been there when he died over almost a decade ago. Not much has changed in my eyes except for some of the staff was new. When I walked through the front door, however, I did notice that a patient and a caretaker (as I like to call them) were having a chat on a bench in front of the building enjoying the scorching hot day like there was not a care in the world. I really enjoyed seeing that. When I walked in I saw that there was plenty of "busy-bees" walking around doing activities and other things like talking and cleaning. There was one instance where I noticed a patient in a room calling out for someone to come help her for at least two minutes but no one responded. I know that the place was very busy and it may have been a little noisy but not that noisy. Overall my experience was good. The grounds were very well kept and the building was clean. The staff were, for the most part very nice and knowledgeable but it was because of that one instant where the patient was ignored, that I gave this institution four stars.
