"This is an older facility but they keep it clean and that's what is important to me. The staff is very helpful especially the admissions person. They provide activities and the director is always so nice and helpful. No complaints of the food either my loved one likes it! "

"If I were to retire right now, it would be to Heartland. I pulled up into the parking lot and it seemed like I was pulling into a piece of blissfulness. Everything was pristine, from the grounds to the way the buildings were in place. Every single person (and I am not joking here) had a smile or grin on their face. I walked through the double doors and was greeted by an lady who had a smile from ear to ear. She either enjoyed her job or she put on a great show. She explained to me what Heartlands was all about and then she proceeded to let me take a visitor's pass and be on my way. I took a stroll through every turn I could, staying away from the restricted areas and trying to stay out of the way and just paying attention to how patients and caretakers responded to each other. I did not see one ill-manner towards anyone at all. I was astonished. This facility definitely gets five stars. "

"We sent a patient here who was at a point that we really weren't sure he would make it. I went to see him today and he looks amazing. Your staff has done a great job with him. He has been very pleased with the care and is glad he came to you all. His wound is half the size it was before and he is much healthier. "This facility is definitely one of the best in the area. The physical therapy department is incredible and our family member showed significant progress during their stay here. The new Administrator has made many positive changes to both the staff and the level of care, and I truly believe my father is in good hands. The nurses are knowledgeable, attentive, and the express the level of care you want your loved ones to be provided with. "

"I toured Well-Spring Retirement Community. It has everything you could want for all levels, and it is a large facility that would allow me to walk get my steps and get in shape. It has a gym. It has a swimming pool. It's hard to beat that. It was very clean. The cafeteria was very nice. It was very pleasant. Everybody there was pleasant and was very willing to talk and give me all the information I wanted."

"After a horrible experience at another nursing home, it was nice to find Guilford Health Care. The staff was very good. The facility was clean, although the room could have used a fresh-up with a little paint. The medical care was quite adequate. The food was good - I think I'd describe it as healthy homestyle. Physical and occupational therapy seemed good, too. "

As soon as I visited Shannon Gray I was treated with respect by the staff there. Everyone was so friendly and I can tell that they genuinely care. "My mom stayed here for many years, and totally enjoyed everything about Maryfield. She actually is the person who chose this site as opposed to us "kids". She was mostly in Independent Living quarters for about 8 years before health necessitated her moving to the nursing facility there for a relatively short period of time. The people working there are not only very capable, but they are also extremely caring and pay attention to their residents. I have had other friends in residence here both in Independent Living as well as Assisted Living. ALL have been extremely positive about their experience here."

"I did a tour of River Landing at Sandy Ridge. I didn't find anything wrong with it. The tour was fun; I saw all of the apartments because that was all I thought I could afford. This is a continuing care community. It was the first place I visited. It's very nice. There's not a thing in the world you can say that's wrong with it, unless it's too expensive for you. It's expensive, but the question is, how much do you want to spend to get into that situation? It was just average. I wasn't particularly struck that it was great or not so great, small or not so small. I had determined going in that an apartment was probably not what I wanted in a congregant living setting. It's very well run. It's Presbyterian. They have every amenity you can think of, and it sits on a wonderful golf course if you're interested in golf. It has a brand-new indoor sports center with a swimming pool, pickleball, sports, and everything you can think of. They have three or four restaurants within the facility. You're given a meal ticket, and you just go where you want, whenever you want. The staff was excellent. It's very luxurious and very professional."

"Well to start it off i would say that this place was up to par by my own personal standards. From the couple of times i went there i believe that it was one of the nicer assisted living facilities that i have been to. The staff was relay friendly with me the second that i walked through the door. They where eager to help me find a nice older resident to interview since not every resident there had visitors often. While i was there i got to wander around for a bit when i was walking down the halls of the facility. I observed that the entire place was of proper cleanliness. The floors did not have any dirt or litter on them, the walls where sanitary, and the place had a rather pleasant odor. The main thing that surprised me was the bathrooms. I could not find a single speck of dirt in either of the two that i went into. Every stall was constantly stocked with toilet paper and seat covers. The more i looked around the place i only saw positive things. The staff was super friendly with the residents and they had a smooth way of operating the facility. All and all i would give them a five star rating due to the fact of how impressed i was with the entirety of the place. "

"SunBridge is actually a multi-tier system that works well from what I can see. I did not get a tour that I would have loved but I did get a quick walk through because there was something going on within the building. Outside was lovely. The grounds were kept up and there were a few elderly folk chatting it up and having a great time on a few of the benches placed outside. In fact, SunBridge is just one of many facilities across America owned by the same corporation so you know they must be doing well for themselves and once you step inside the building you will see what I am talking about. The staff was very helpful in answering questions that I had and the guest did seem to have enjoyed themselves while I was there. I would definitely give this place a try and see where it leads. "

"This facility is mainly designed for people who need a little more help getting around than others but the staff and management still encourage the patients to try as much as they can to do it on their own. The quality of the building isn't all that great as is the grounds but that can be worked on really easily. What I noticed when i was there was the level of care that the patients were getting. They were being attended to the right way and no one was being abused and I did not make myself noticeable while I was there. If there was anything I learned while being in the Special Forced int he US Army was being a ghost. The staff and management seemed to move all in a "robotic" sense as they all knew what they had to do when they had to do. If you are looking for looks, I would not choose this facility but if you are looking for decent care then you might want to give this one a try "

"My mom was a rehab patient for 2 weeks and did great. She is home and is doing wonderful Administrator was nice along with the entire nursing staff. Not your typical nursing home Very pleased "
