"My mother is still at Twin Lakes Community. It is excellent. Moving into assisted living, they have a brand-new facility, which is beautiful, very accessible, spacious, airy, and enjoyable to be in. The staff are very personable and very caring. Whatever is requested, it tends to be done almost immediately. They're on the spot, they're there to care and they show it. They have a cafeteria style, and the food has always been very good. It's onsite and only probably 40 yards away from where my mom lives. It's expensive there like anywhere when you're in assisted living. But at this point, because of the religious backing and of being a foundation-oriented organization, once you're in, you're in through all your life stages. They're more expensive than others. But once you run through the assets, you turn to Medicaid, and she's still there. She's on Medicaid and is receiving the same services as if she was paying the full amount. "

"My mother stayed at Compass Healthcare and Rehab Hawfields for about a week. It was nice and clean. The room was pretty nice and plenty big enough for her. The staff was really friendly, very courteous, and kind. On Wednesday night, she could go to church services and things like that. She ate in her room. She didn't go to the dining room, and she seemed to like the food pretty good."

"Where can I begin?.......the experience was so important to me and my family, it's hard to know if the beginning is best or the end. My grandmother was at Ashton Health and Rehab for long term care. She was diagnosed with Dementia, and had spent a total of 16 years in assisted/skilled care prior to her passing one month shy of 99. Nanny was at Ashton for several years, with staff caring for her, talking with her, watching TV with her. They knew she liked baby lotion and powder after her bath. They knew she loved chocolate and would hide some in her bra......... They knew she loved to watch Wheel of Fortune.....and she could answer any question on Jeopardy with the best of them......they knew her favorite food was fried chicken. Ashton cared for her gently and kindly with such a genuine love and caring for her well being. This facility is outstanding......in the beginning and thru out her stay, Nanny had rehab services when needed, restorative intervention and eventually Hospice services. She believed she was in elementary school in Hendersonville NC for most of her time at Ashton.....waiting each day for lunchtime, or activity time, with staff reassuring her that she was right where she was supposed to be. It is hard to see a loved one regress to the past, but I must say, the nurses and cna's, dietary and housekeeping staff all participated in her daily fantasy and engaged her constantly with encouragement, laughter and friendship. There were many sunny August days, she believed it was going to snow.....and staff encouraged her girlish excitement about the weather. It takes special people to do the job of caring for our parents and grandparents. It is a job of Courage, Bravery, Compassion, Dedication and most of all a job of the Heart. I know this because I saw her most every day of her stay......but I can honestly say she really never missed me.....she really felt she was home and surrounded by people that loved her. Seems strange to feel happy that she did not miss me....but for those that deal with Dementia and aging of loved ones, knowing when you go home that the one you leave in a facility is cozy, and safe, and peaceful.....is priceless. Nanny never rang a call bell, yet a call to staff any time of the day would give me up to the minute updates on her day.......I believe they felt she was their Nanny too........I am sure she felt security and love each day she was there...................... If you are looking for a place to care for someone you love, or even for short term rehabilitation after a hospital stay, please stop by Ashton Health. Look at faces of staff, residents and speak with visitors. It is a place that I spent the most precious time in my life with woman I most admired and loved. Nanny would be proud of me for surrounding her with Ashton.....it was a beautiful last chapter. Thank and Bless everyone at Ashton."

"This is the ONLY place residents receive more than 2 days of rehab. My loved one was back on her feet in no time. Staff was stretched but took care of my loved one's needs."

"My partner is still at Peak Resources Brookshire. It's one of the better facilities for skilled nursing in the area. I did a lot of research before I put him here. The people here at this facility are very, very attentive. As with any other facility that offers services, there are good nurses, and there are not-so-good nurses. Overall, Peak Resources Brookshire would be somewhere I would recommend to anyone who needed to have skilled nursing for someone for a limited time. My partner is here for rehab. They provide physical therapy, occupational therapy, and SLP therapy. Their food is pretty bad. Now and then, you get some salad, but most of the food is very starchy and fried. And it's like you don't get a choice like you would in a hospital. He has been here since January, and I've only seen two salads as a side dish, and he should have a salad every day. They provide all the furnishings and all his medications. Everything that he needs is provided here, except I do his laundry. I do not let them do his laundry. It's a private room; he has his private suite. He has his own private bathroom, a large closet, a hospital bed, a chest of drawers, a lamp table, two folding chairs, a lounge chair with an ottoman, and a TV. It's nice enough. "

"I am grateful to the staff at Kindred Hospital SAU 3 WEST in Greensboro.The RNs, the CNAs, the RT, the OT, the PT, the ST, the Lab technicians, Housekeeping, Doctors, Kitchen staff, the Social worker, and all the aids and leaders of each department would greet you with a smile and ask me if I needed anything. If I had questions, they would take the time to answer or find me the answer. If I felt frightened, they would calm my fears. They were truthful, kind, understanding, and supportive. I would recommend this unit to anyone needing long term care. Thank you"

"My mom is a resident of Heartland Living & Rehabilitation. I would say that the staff there is excellent. Just great people. I was there last year, and everybody there was great and helpful. They're always asking their questions if they need anything. They're on top of it. Especially her social worker, Carolyn, is just a wonderful woman. She is just great. She is on top of it. The nursing home is older, but it was clean. I didn't see anything really out of place. I witnessed some of the older folks doing their physical therapy, and some of them were in a big dining area. They weren't really eating, they were like playing games, everybody was co-mingling. It's an older facility, but other than that, the physical appearance on the inside was fine, and the staff was super nice and super attentive. The rooms looked really neat, too. The place wasn't worn and torn and torn down looking or anything like that. I'm going to give them a five strictly because of how attentive the staff is. They're just excellent. My mother loves it. They do her hair and her nails and everything, so she loves it. She also loves their food. I think she thinks she's getting the most bang for the buck."

"Thank you and your staff for all you have done. You all are the only ones who did what you said you would do and provided wonderful care for my mom. I think the reason we were sent to you is so I could see that there really are people in health care who really care about and take pride in the care that they give. I was so impressed by what I saw. I really wish you all were closer to my home. You all were magnificent!! If she doesn’t get care where she is at now that is as good as what you all gave her. I may be back. "My sister stayed at Clapps Nursing Center, and it was nice. She was in there for 2 to 3 weeks. The facility was very clean, and it smelled good. The people were very friendly and helpful. The facility was good. I liked the place. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food smelled and looked good. They gave my sister a lot of food. They had activities there, but my sister wasn't able to participate."

"My brother was a resident from November 2022 till October 2023.I would like to thank the staff for all that they have done f for my brother. He was very pleased there and the staff was wonderful to him,actually Spoiled him even more. My brother was a very proud man, at first he didn’t know how to accept help from anyone but me. You all kept on offering help and he gained respect for you all, and started to accept help when he needed it. The staff You also helped me In more ways than one. I didn’t have to worry about him getting the care that he needed at that stage of his life. I felt that he was safe. After 10 years of making sure that he was safe, I could sleep at night. "The facility was clean, they had friendly staff and they appeared to be concerned with their residents. The facility provided various activities for residents who were able to participate. There were events such as game night and movie nights that allowed residents to be able to get out of their rooms and mingle with other residents. Each hallway had a cute name such as "Robin Way", which made the place feel like home. Instead of just having a room number, they had "street" to go to. The staff seemed to be knowledgeable and the residents seemed to like them. They treated residents with care and respect. Since most of the residents are elderly, it was nice to see them give respect. They called patients Ms. Or Mr. and their names. Even though many of the residents are older and sometimes rude, staff knew how to deal with it properly. It was nice to see the staff attempt to make the facility feel like a home away from home for their clients. "

"My father stayed at this facility for about 3 weeks following an accident and surgery to his leg. The Facility itself was clean and well kept. The nursing and rehab staff were personable and friendly and provided the attention and care that my father required. The admin check in was painless and from the very beginning of his stay until the day we checked out, he had excellent care. "

"My mom has been staying at Avante at Reidsville. She's doing great and the place is awesome. It's easy to go around, but the place has a smell down the hall. My mom does a lot of physical therapy and all the women love her. She is babied and they dote on her. Pat, the nurse, is just awesome, and does everything for my mother. She's great and we're very happy. They have a library, workout room, a room where you can just go to sit, talk, and watch TV, and a really nice dining room. They also have a salon where she can get her hair and nails done, and she's really happy about that."
