The staff was very friendly, the few we met. The rooms were the same as the others -- clean and homey. We didn't eat there. I didn't like their dining room setup though. It is not gated, so I don't think it is secure as it could be if it were gated. I didn't see any indication of security there. They had a swimming pool and a craft area, and they play cards.

What I like about Village at Brookwood is that it's a small place and once you are in there, you can go to different stages with where your health takes you. It’s a beautiful facility. I also like the small-town feeling. They had us over for dinner one night with two of the ladies that live over there, and they have wonderful food. The ladies were very nice too and very interesting to talk to. They have all kinds of activities, like they have yoga classes, they take people to concerts or if there is something special going on, they arrange that and they take them by bus. It is very, very well organized. The apartment that I am interested in is a one bedroom apartment and it is large. It's very, very well planned.

My family lives in Burlington area and I don't want to move too far away, so the location of Village at Brookwood is quite convenient for me. My visit there was very informal but they were very courteous and showed me around the facility. The staff was very attentive to their residents. I only saw an apartment without furniture so it is hard to tell if the place is spacious enough, but I think it would do okay. They were also building some cottages. I looked at some of them and they were very nice.

Recently my grandmother was no longer able to care for herself so we where lucky enough to get her a spot at The Village at Brookwood. We chose The Village at Brookwood because it had such a warm feeling when you come into the community and the staff was very helpful and kind. The first visit we made to see her she was absolutely happy with the way she was being treated. She had already made her own little family at the village. The best part of The Village at Brookwood was that she was able to still live in her own home within the community but was always able to get assistance any time of day when she need it. Within the community she was still able to have family and friends come visit at any time. All together she was very happy with the move and all of the help she has recieved from the staff at The Village at Brookwood.

I knew when I pulled up to Brookwood that this place was special. The natural beauty that surrounds the building is perfect and the building itself is perfect. Once I got inside the building, I was greeted by the receptionist and immediately taken on a tour by another person that gave me a grand tour. This place was as perfect as a living community could be. I cannot go through all the amenities and perfections but there were so many great things about this place and I did not see one bad thing about it. No staff were out of place and they all were helping and treating the staff as if they were all friends. If you are looking for an assisted living facility in Burlington this should be your first stop.
