I toured Mebane Ridge Assisted Living & Memory Care. The personnel was very nice and they were detailed in everything they told us. Personally, though, I thought there were some issues with the cleanliness. The apartments were adequate. They were a full-service facility. They had meals, room cleaning, and the nurses on duty. It had everything you would need. They had plenty of activities and they were really good. It was a good facility, no doubt about it. They had a library and an exercise room.

My father moved into Mebane Ridge Assisted Living & Memory Care. The residents who live there are happy. His room is nice, it's sunny, and it's bright. He likes the food. He's not acting with others and doing stuff, but they do have lots of puzzles and things to do. They have a little spa area, and a walking trail, and their gym is just being done right now. They have a large activity room and a movie room. Communication is fine, they called me whenever there's an issue.

I went to Mebane Ridge Assisted Living & Memory Care and had a wonderful tour of that facility. I really liked it. I think my husband would fit in well there, but at this point, I'm just going to keep him at home. I got a little overview of most all of the facility, but I was especially interested in the memory care because that's what my husband would require. When I got there, I had called ahead and I had an appointment with a lady who is probably one of the PR people. She was busy with another tour that she was giving when I got there, so I was directed into a lovely waiting area which was also sort of a common room. There were lots of books that the residents could check out. This was in the regular assisted living part of the facility, but I was able to just sort of eavesdrop while I was in that waiting room, and I heard different residents going down the hall, and others who were employees would interact with them. They called everybody by name. They were very pleasant. They didn't know that I was in there listening. I think they just were used to being friendly and nice to these people. I enjoyed sort of vicariously taking in different things there, like I heard what they were having for dinner that night because some of the employees were talking to themselves and it sounded very good. It's very, very clean, and there was no smell at all that I could tell in going down the halls when I did get my tour. The lady who gave me the tour gave me a very good reason why sharing a room can be very helpful with an elderly person; some things that I never would have thought of, just like if they came from home and they were used to sharing a home with someone, it would be very lonely to be suddenly in a room where no one else was. Even though it was good that the price was a lot less if my husband shared a room, I had not thought about the benefits, and they would try to put personalities together that would mesh. All of the rooms were furnished with nice furniture, so you didn't have to bring your own stuff from home to furnish the place. There were lots of common areas where the residents could meet together, and this was in the memory care center as well as the assisted living part of it. They had separate places. They were able to roam and be in those common areas, and there was a lot of laughing and they were playing games at some of the tables that were also used for a dining area. They were free to play games if they felt like it at different times of the day. I just liked the overall atmosphere. It felt very welcoming. Everybody was very friendly. I didn't see anybody who looked like they had been mistreated. They were all clean and dressed up, not in pajamas and nightgowns. I think that my husband would fit right in there. I just liked it. It would probably be my first choice at this point if I stay in this area. I would like to be there myself if it came to that. It's absolutely beautiful and very well appointed. It was before St. Patrick's Day, and they had little leprechauns and decorative items all over the building, and the lady who gave me my tour said they do that for every holiday. It helps to orient the memory care patients to just let them know what's going on or what time of the year it is.

We liked Mebane Ridge Assisted Living & Memory Care very much. They had very nice apartment-type rooms. The one that we specifically looked at was for two persons sharing the room. It's plenty large enough for two people to be comfortable and have their own belongings there, their own pictures on the wall, and their own TV, and they share a bathroom. That's the unit that we were interested in looking at. It's a very nice community with hallways that all circle back to where a person needs to be in the main lobby dining room area. They have activities there that I think my husband would have been interested in. There are three meals in the dining room. They allow room service as well, but they encourage them to go to the dining room just for socialization. They seemed to have very friendly, lovely staff, and they have a staff member in each area where there are residents so there's always somebody nearby. They're adequate and plenty for my husband's needs. The place had a very warm kind of feeling. Their dining area was brightly lit, and very pleasant, and they used cloth napkins and tablecloths, which I liked very much, not paper. They had second choices for every meal, and they said there were other options as well. They have three meals and three snacks daily. In that regard, I would rate them very well, although I didn't taste the food.

We liked the way Mebane Ridge Assisted Living & Memory Care looked. We liked the overall layout of the place, as well as the people. They have been very helpful, have good answers, and are willing to assist. My sister-in-law is there and she likes the food. They have a room to do physical therapy in and a courtyard to walk around outside. It is clean and has a friendly atmosphere.

Mebane Ridge Assisted Living & Memory Care was nice. I like the place and the people. They were doing some painting, which was fine, but we still were able to tour. Everything was very clean, the people were extremely nice, and I met some of the people or spoke with some of the people that were there, not only the staff. Everybody was very nice. Stacy assisted me, she was extremely knowledgeable and extremely nice. I looked at the dining area, it was very clean. Some of them had gone on a trip, and several people were congregated in a little area where they were all talking and visiting with each other. She showed me their activities board of what they do for the month and she explained all that to me.

Mebane Ridge Assisted Living & Memory Care is in good shape. The biggest issue I had was they were not expecting me, so there was no appointment scheduled at all for me. The place itself was nice and we're considering putting my father there. They had nice large rooms, and the exterior of the building was in fantastic shape, all brick, nice flowerbeds, and nice maintenance throughout. It did not require any painting at all. The interior was in good shape as well. The rooms were nice and well taken care of. They have a garden area, a front porch sitting area with rocking chairs, and an outside grilling area. There was an activity center, a movie center, and a library. There was something planned every day for them. The menu looked great. There are three meals a day and three snacks a day. The office personnel was not there because they weren't alerted, but the staff that was there was very nice and the office manager called me back Sunday from our home, and then she call me again today. Everybody was great.

Mebane Ridge Assisted Living & Memory Care was very nice. The people were very nice. It was just a little bit further than I wanted to go. The staff was very pleasant. The facility was kind of simplistic. They had some pets that people could look at and interact with, like some birds and some guinea pigs. The layout was great.
