"Homestead Hills was having a grand opening for a new wing when we went and visited there. The staff was really friendly. Everything was really pretty. It was a continuing care facility, and I thought they had a lot going on. We just had a nice time. We only saw the apartments in the new wing. They were very spacious. They had a nice view outside. They were complete with washer and dryer in the laundry room. When we were there, we had a tour of the building, and of course, they had a speaker because it was their grand opening. From the looks of their little brochure and everything, they had a lot of activities, but we were there for special occasions. We would go back and take another look, but we really liked it. I would recommend it. Everybody that we talked to was just really happy with it. "

"I visited Brookridge Retirement two years ago where my father-in-law was. It seems to be staffed properly in the memory care unit. Everything was in good working order and up to date. I would say that the community is in good shape. The dining area and food is good. For institution food, it is better than most. The staff is very attentive, helpful and pleasant. I like the setting. It was actually in a forest so it's very private. All the facilities were in very good shape. We were paying a premium, but it was definitely worth it. If I ever had to go to one, I would want to pick this place because it's a good choice."

"I have many clients at Salemtowne. They have multilevel uses. They have independent living cottages/apartments, then assisted living, and a health care facility onsite. It is a giant complex, very, very well run. You can move within wherever you need to be within the different levels. You can buy into it. It is first class. It is very expensive, but it is one of the premier places in town. They have many amenities. They're actually expanding right now. I know personally a lot of the administrators, and they're on top. They're great. What impresses me about Salemtowne is the variety of the campus and the ability to go to the health care area and not be in a hospital. They're on the property for health care. Also when you move into an apartment, they would re-do everything, i.e., carpets, countertops, etc. They're designing it to look brand new. "

"My father-in-law was in River Landing for 4 years before he passed away. The staff is caring, and very outstanding. The food there was fine. He was in a private room, and it’s very clean. I have no complaints for 4 years that he was there. "

"My Grandfather developed Alzheimer's in his sixties. Our family was trying to care for him at home, but his health was quickly declining and he needed more than we were able to provide. They instantly made my Grandfather feel welcome and began creating a bond with him that was heartfelt. We moved him immediately and he actually began to improve! He gained enough strength to walk and wheel himself around, his mental acuity skyrocketed, and his sense of humor returned. You could tell that he genuinely =enjoyed living at Pennybyrn and it was a miraculous sight to behold. We knew then we made the best decision in going to Pennybyrn and letting them create a home for my Grandfather that catered to his wants and needs and excelled his quality of life beyond our expectations. Pennybyrn is not perfect nor do they claim to be. However, if you are searching for a community that will truly love your family member and honor their right to the best quality of life possible, then look no further than Pennybyrn. "

"My mother is in Piedmont Crossing. She's in full care and it's pretty good. The rooms are nice. The facility is really nice, clean, doesn't smell like urine, and nicely decorated. The food is not good though. The common area and dining area are nice. It's well-maintained and modern. The staff is very nice and very caring. It's expensive, but it's probably one of the nicest centers in Thomasville."
