"We moved my Mom to Cuthbertson Village at Aldersgate and the care that they give there is wonderful. The staff is very good and knowledgeable; they really take good care of my mom. The food is very good. They feed her according to a diet, which is specific to her. She has a very big bedroom with a very big bathroom. If you go down the hall, there is a big living room, kitchen and a nice big dining room. If you keep going down the hall, they have a town square and different rooms on the town square. One is a soda jerk, there a movie theater, a five and dime, a garden shop, and a pet shop. There is a stage around the corner where they have music including groups who come sing or play instruments. There is a big swimming pool and a great big garden where they can walk or sit; it is enclosed by a 7-foot tall fence so they cannot wander. "

"During my Aunt's stay at this facility I was completely impressed by the upkeep of their grounds. She had been sick from cancer and was unable to safely care for herself given the manner in which her medications effected her physically and also gave a bit of dementia as a side effect. This facility has all kinds of different types of living arrangements. It can range from apartment type living to cottage/village living in appearance. The grounds are kept well, flowers always bright and in bloom. There are club areas for the residents to associate with each other in, also the dining area make my aunt feel as though she was being catered to. Between the gourmet dishes and extremely healthy food menu choices, she calls on a constant basis just to inform me about how much healthier she is starting to feel. And while she is a very religious woman, she is impressed with their chapel and on site minister. "

"It was actually nice. You could buy the units and you could stay there your whole life. It was like a home. They had a lot of couple there and they seemed to have a lot of activities. If you decided you don't want to stay there, you could sell it. "

"I visited a friend at Southminster. I had lunch with her, and she had a gorgeous apartment. The food was really good. We just went to the little cafe. I also had dinner there in the dining room with another friend, and it was nice. The apartments were very nice, but she didn't stay there long because she was displeased, and I was not sure I understood why, but she said she had to pay an arm and a leg to live there. Then they were always after her about more money for something. You know, when you were a senior citizen, you were on a fixed income, and you had to figure out your budget and all. So, in these facilities, once you got in, you pay for your place and all, then they would come to you and always wanting more money; that was not good. One of my friends who also moved there had kind of a duplex, and I thought that was really nice, but they were older people and to go to the cafeteria, they had to go out and walk over to that building or drive their car, and I would not like that. However, I was impressed because I thought the apartment was beautiful, and the entrance was nice. "

"We visited Plantation Estates. The food was good. It was like food from a nice restaurant. When a room became available, they renovated and upgraded it like new. It was a nice place. They had very nice facilities there. Everything was well kept and nice. The people were very friendly. They had all the amenities that everyone else offered. It was good. "
