"The facility was very nice, and the people were very nice. Trinity Oaks was just farther away that the other one. It would be an hour away as opposed to being four minutes away. It's what it boils down to for us in many ways. The people there were fine. We have no complaints about the facility or the people. It was too far and much more expensive as well. There were two things, but really more of the distance than the cost. It is a wonderful facility, and I would recommend it for somebody that lives there. They have a nice calendar of activities as well. "

"It's a very, very nice Baptist retirement community and it's what I'm looking for. It seemed to be very warm and friendly atmosphere. You don't really know until you've live there, but they're very clean, it seems to be very well run, and down to earth. There's not a lot of height associated with it. I'm really looking forward to going there and I'm really excited to be going back to my family. "

"We have a friend that lives in the memory care section of The Pines at Davidson. It's a very nice and very clean facility. They've just undergone a major expansion. She got a studio-type room, and she can either go down for her meals or they would bring the food to her room. They also have a gym and a heated pool, and other facilities. Their dining area is very nice too. You don't smell any urine in there. They keep it very, very clean. It is just expensive."

"This is probably one of the most serene places I have been to yet but that is because of where it is located, away fro the major cities. The building is beautiful and so are the surroundings. The staff seems to know what they are doing and what they are talking about. The patients are happy which is a bigger plus in my book. Not a frown in the whole place. A woman stumped her toe on the foot of a chair and it hurt. I could tell. People rushed to her aid. Before they could get to her, she told them to back off and then she yelled "Shut the front door!" Some of us knows what that means. I busted out laughing. I did not get a tour or a brochure or even a chat with management but I did talk to staff and they said they loved working there. Five stars and then some. "

"My great-grandmother stayed at Homestead Hill before her passing. She was 85+ years old and couldn't live on her own anymore. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and needed extra care that none of her children or grand children could provide on the regular. Homestead in my opinion took very great care of her. The staff was always friendly and knowledgeable and treated my great grandmother with respect. They checked on her multiple times of day, so much so that she kind of complained about it. They also made sure to give her, her medication whenever it was required. They were also great about giving her a sense of independence by allowing her to walk around the facility and partake in hobbies like knitting with others who were staying at the facility. Even in her time before her passing they took extremely good care of her and made sure to update the family at least twice a week on her health and on the day of her passing knew of all the proper procedures and ways to handle the body. The only things I disliked happened to be the smell of old perfume, but it's to be expected. "
