"My brother-in-law has been a resident of TerraBella Salisbury for a month now. We were able to find this place, and they have been excellent. The staff members are very attentive to the needs of the people in the wing that he is on, which is memory care. It is highly reviewed, and it is highly protected. In that particular facility, they just couldn't get up and walk around unassisted or without actually somebody being there to let them in. The part of the facility that was not memory care, people are moving around freely and can do whatever they want to. But as far as that particular section, you have to punch in a number to go in and punch in a number to go out, which is very good and important because my brother-in-law is a wanderer. So we're happy with the place, and it's within 30 minutes of where each of us is. My brother-in-law's room is a nice size. He's the only one in the room. It's equipped with two beds, and he has his own private bathroom. And it's also accommodated with plenty of light and a TV. The room is nice, clean, and very inviting. The nurses come in and make sure that he is up and walking. They have opportunities to go into a particular room and be able to do physical therapy should they need to. They are given snacks and food throughout the day. They have a courtyard basically in the front. My brother-in-law likes to go out and sit in the sun, and they have a full front porch. It is a beautiful facility and it is located nicely within that sense."

"Always clean.Not perfect, but fix problems when they come up. Mom loves it there, and when we come to visit it feels like a "home". "

"I have visited the Gardens over the last few years and I can say that this facility is a plce to call home. It is always warm and inviting and you know when you walk through the door that it is filled with love. The residents are always happy and very active, the families and visitors are always greeted with cheer. The Gardens involves their residents within the community and I am proud to say that our small town has a home away from home for our elderly to go. "

"We went to Harmony at Brookberry Farm. It's nice and new. I think it's three years old. The apartments are very cute. They have some architectural features that are not seen in any other apartments. But they only had a very small kitchen, and where it was located was not ideal. It's right by a school. It was just kind of on the outer rim of where we wanted to stay. All the things were very nice though. They had two elevators. It's newer compared to all the other ones that we've seen. They have a library, a little gym, and a theater. It was very nice, but it just wasn't a fit for us. The staff who assisted me was very nice."

"Very Blessed to have such a loving and caring STAFF that truely put the Resident’s First by knowing each one of them and truely loving them. This is just not a job they do. It takes Special Individuals to do this kind of work and each and everyone of them take this to HEART when it comes to their residents the Staff just don’t look at these individuals as residents they are Family. . "My husband moved into Brookdale Lexington. I've not seen him since he moved in, but they're getting ready to open. I call him twice a day and they say he's fine and doing pretty good. The staff, so far, has been good. He's in memory care. Communication has been real good, so far. They have activities, and tomorrow is his birthday. I've taken him a cake, and they'll have a little party for him. I think when it gets warmer weather, they'll let them go outside with help."

"My mom has moved into Mary's House Family Care Home. We chose them because of the size; there are only four residents. My mom is still confused as to why she's there, but we're working on that. But so far, it seems to be good. She enjoyed the food, so I think it's fine. She has her own room there, it's just a small setting and it's nice. It's winter, so there's not a whole lot of outdoor activity at this time. However, when it's been nice, they have gone outside. She has not complained about the food. It's a very nice facility. I think they're all way overpriced, but the last place she was at, for what they charge, she got minimal care."

"The rooms were good. They had plenty of room and were clean. There was a dining room and a living room. The people seemed to be active. "

"My client is at Kerner Ridge. It is a very nice place. It is very, very clean. The staff is excellent. They have assisted living and Alzheimer's units. My client has a good size room. It has a private bath. They also have an area that is separate from their normal bathrooms that they could get into a deep soaked tub, kind of a therapy whirlpool. That is pretty interesting too. I thought that was surprising. They have multiple things going on every single day. I have seen a lot of different people doing arts and crafts. They have a huge arts and crafts room. They will have lots of different people that will come in and bring their guitars. They have like daytrips where they will take them where they want to go. However, my client has never participated in that. "

"My mom is in Somerset Court of Mocksville. They have switched doctors and pharmacists, so I'm not thrilled with the incidences. They're not giving her medication because they say they switched and it's causing problems. Well, that's no reason to deny people medication. Most of the help is good except they've taken away her supplements like calcium and all that stuff that you take by yourself at home. They won't let her touch a pill there without a doctor's prescription, even if it is over-the-counter. It annoys a living hell out of me. They've taken her stuff without her knowing. You have to go and approach them. Then they admit to taking it. You just suddenly find it missing and wonder what the hell happened, and the stuff is not cheap. Other than that, she seems to have made friends there and has settled in. God is good, but you don't want to dance in a small boat, so that's what I'm trying not to do. The place looks OK. I think it could use more trees and green space. They're crowded in a little corner in a busy town that's got a lot of cement for a little town. It's neat, and it's clean. It's got way too much cement for me, and it certainly doesn't make it any cooler in the summertime. It's aesthetically OK. It's not as pretty or as nice as some that I've been in, but it's not as bad as others. I'm happy with the room, and it's aesthetically pleasing. My mom gets her own room. For as much as what people charge for half a room in some places, she gets a room there. She has to share a bathroom, but it's a nice bathroom. This is a pretty decent place. It's not really big, but it's not really small. She likes it. It has enough space for one person to try to get better without the added expense one room would cost the person. If they would straighten out the doggone medication problem, the pill problem, and the pharmacy problem, I'd say the value for the money is good. They talk about having lots of activities, but half of their activities are geared toward Christian activities. If you don't happen to be Christian, then that probably doesn't help you. Other than that, it's good value for the money. They have the nail thing. They have a spa for people who have problems showering by themselves, so that's helpful. It's not a glamorous place, but it's OK. My only complaint about this place is that they lack green space for people to sit in. They have some levels of flexibility, which I didn't anticipate when I first got my mother in there. They're not a bad place at all. They're not the best I've looked at, but they're not the worst I've looked at. Some staff are really great; some staff are not so great. The food is a whole lot better than the nursing home. The facility looks really well maintained. They look really good."
