"Carolina House is a nice and fine facility, but it has a larger Alzheimer’s unit with 18-20 patients. They have double rooms, or 2 patients per room. They have arts and crafts. I would recommend this place to others. "

"I toured the memory care section of Cadence Mooresville and they seemed to have a very, very good program to keep the memory care residents active and involved. I was much more impressed with that. They put out a monthly schedule and it details exactly what they all do, like coming up on Halloween, several of the staff were dressed in costumes. They're just not as big as the other ones we saw. We only interacted with the lady who is in charge of giving the tour and the executive director, but I was very impressed with them."

"I'd give the Gardens of Statesville a "five" across the board. They exceeded my expectations. I think that would be where I would take daddy if he needed it today. I would do anything in the world to get him in there. The visit I had was excellent. The person I spoke with was extremely professional, approachable, and knowledgeable about his folks, his clientele, and his staff, and he was extremely respectful, too. I was very impressed. I was not given a complete tour because of COVID, but I was able to see a sample room, a typical room like where my dad would be, the TV room, the cafeteria or the place where they gather to eat, and the different gathering places. In a lot of nursing homes that I've been to, there were people just kind of hanging out at the nursing station, looking pretty forlorn in their wheelchairs, and that's not what happened in Gardens. They looked pretty highly engaged, and I appreciate that about this facility."

This one is convenient, and it has a lower price. I'm very thankful that she is in this facility and the price is reasonable."

"They've got friendly people at Spring Arbor of Albemarle. The place was pretty clean. The staff seemed nice. The lady that gave me the tour was very nice. They have a game room where they can play board games and watch TV. They have a library. They got books in the game room, too. They have transportation. They take them to certain places."

"We liked Cadence Huntersville because it was close enough to my house, the staff was exceptional (and that's putting it very mildly), and the actual program and the facilities that they have to offer my sister were the very best of care, as well as the environment itself. It is only on two floors, which means getting around was not encumbering and it was immaculately clean. We visited both the assisted living and memory care and met quite a few people on the staff. They appeared to be people of excellence, both skills, and character. They arranged for a private dining experience with my wife, myself, and my sister. It was perfect. The food was excellent."

"My father is in memory care at Peninsula Family Care Home, and it's very good. The rooms were very nice, furnished, and very clean. This is a small six-bed family home. It has a family room, a bedroom, a kitchen, and a breakfast area. The staff is very good. Because it's small with only six beds, it's very individualized type of care. There are no amenities. They have some activities that they try to do with the residents, such as playing some games or doing puzzles or something, but it's not like your typical assisted living that has 100 beds or so."

"I toured Denver Family Care Home. It was just a house with six people and a caretaker. It was absolutely lovely and so pristine. The person who is the 14-day on and 14-day off staff member who was present was wonderful, available, and informative. She didn't even know we were coming. The residents were clean. Their rooms were clean. The house was clean. Everyone was eating and having breakfast and going about their day. It's very organized. It's a lovely place. I wish it was a good fit for my father-in-law, but unfortunately not. If he needed assisted living, it would be perfect."

"This facility accepted both my parents when my dad needed assistance and they could no longer live in their home of 60 years. The staff quickly developed a fondness and gave them special attention and care. I can't emphasize how important this was in their transition from home. When my dad's condition progressed WELL past the point he should have gone to a nursing home for skilled care, they kept him to keep the two of them together and just stepped up the care they provided. When my dad passed, they were bedside shedding tears as well. You can find somewhere more expensive, but not one with a more caring staff."
