"We had a quite good visit in Brookdale Carriage Club. We observed that there was a lot of care from the staff. During our visit, we got to see a variety of housing options for independent living. It was quite an old facility, but I like the arrangement of the apartments. There were more units along the roads. It gives a feeling of being outdoor, even if you were in your own home. We really liked that place. It was just so expensive and had a high buy-in rate. The location was not that ideal for us too. "

"My mom is staying at Cadence Mint Hill. We're very happy with it. They take good care of my mom. They check on her throughout the day and night. My mom is wheelchair-bound, and they get her up and do things with her. They're doing the best they can. She's towards the end of the line, but she's doing okay. There are always activities. They have people come in. Every holiday, they decorate. They have hair-cutting and nail-cutting services there. Everybody seems very happy and friendly. All the patients talk to us, and they think the place is great, so we can't complain about anything. Everything seems to be nice. The staff members are top-notch people. If they find that my mother has a problem with something, they call us and let us know. They keep us updated. The cleaning staff comes in and cleans her room and bathroom. Everybody is very friendly and helpful towards my mom. So I can't say anything negative about them. The food looks great. The price just recently increased, but it's very doable."

"I went over to Charlotte Square, but they're not doing tours over there. I didn't know that until I was there. The lady came out and spoke with me. She said they're not doing any tours due to COVID. After I spoke with her I decided that was not the place I wanted my dad to be anyway. The grounds were nice and well kept. The staff was informative and friendly. The grasses were cut, and everything was trimmed. It was almost immaculate. There wasn't any trash around. It was very clean. She gave a short description about what they do and the pricing, and basically saying that they do memory care. It was very short. I only talked to her maybe for five minutes."

Private room, extremely clean, home cooked meals, a smaller staff to resident ratio, easy access for family members 24/7, a great residential setting with room to sit outside or go for a stroll. On top of this their staff was phenomenal, patient, and caring. You can't go wrong with this choice for your loved one!"

"I visited this facility after a former client moved into it when he decided that an assisted living facility would meet his needs better than his independent home. My first impressions of the facility was that it's absolutely gorgeous - very bright, clean, modern looking, and open. Each resident has his or her own small apartment and they receive help in maintaining it by staff. There is also a wonderful amount of open area (library, garden, dining hall) to allow for community gatherings. The staff are extremely friendly and one thing that struck me right away was that even though the person I was visiting had only moved in a week or so prior to my visit, at least four staff members addressed him by name and with a smile while I was visiting. He told me several times that he was very happy there and mentioned specific activities that he either had or was looking forward to joining in on. He even mentioned some outings that the facility had planned, enabling the residents to get out and enjoy some of what Matthews and Charlotte have to offer. While I was in the facility my former client was also reminded to take some medication and a staff spoke to him about an upcoming doctors visit that they had helped to arrange as well. He said that he felt his medical needs were being well met while he was there which, being a diabetic and on dialysis, was extremely important to him. Overall I felt confident that he had made the right choice in moving to Weddington Park. He was able to enjoy a beautiful environment and keep up with an active social schedule, while also having his medical and personal care needs met. I would not hesitate to recommend this facility to anyone. "

Both the facility and all of the staff make this a true home. Being able to put my wife here was the only positive in an eight year battle with Alzheimer's. "I liked that TerraBella Harrisburg was all on one floor and that the staff was exceptional. The facility was very, very neat, very orderly, and very organized. They appeared to have a very good staff-to-resident ratio. The grounds were very nicely manicured. The woman who took us was the director and she shared with us more about where to go when somebody's money runs out and they need a level of care that they do not offer in an assisted living/memory care facility, like nursing homes. She gave us paraphernalia and booklets that listed every single type of care for people with disabilities, senior citizens, and those looking for affordable ones or on the high end of the market. It was a chock full of information with names, addresses, telephone numbers, and contact people."
