"My mother has been in rehab at The Oaks for about a month. It was very clean and very attractive. The staff was attentive. There were two-person rooms, but they were large enough to accommodate two patients and visitors. The dining room was setup very nice. My mother didn't get involved in too many activities, but they did have a lot of varied activities from crafts to bingo to church services. There were patients that actually live there. "

"My Dad was placed on Hospice here 11/2021 The staff went above and beyond taking care of my Father. I was informed daily about how he was doing. Often they would reach out to me. I had the chance to have Video calls when ever I wanted too. Magdalene(Nurse) was nice and friendly she called me so I could to talk to my Dad on many times. All of the CNA'S took very good care of him, Anything I would ask for the got the job done. I had family members often to go visit him and he was ALWAYS clean. I can't thank them enough for caring for my Father. "

"I was there for REHAB. Rooms were very clean. Staff was great and helped so much to make my stay better. The Physical and Occupational Therapists were the best! The Nurse and CNA’s were so positive and helpful. I would highly recommend Liberty Commons for Rehabilitation. "My 95-year-old mother-in-law is currently in a short-term living section at Huntersville Oaks for therapy; as a result of a bad fall. Mom also has dementia and is blind. Up to the time of her fall; she had lived with us for 3 years. We were concerned about how mom would be cared for and treated (after hearing all the horror stories in other posts). I don't know what area of the facility the other posts were written about, but, mom is in the Lakeview Inn neighborhood. The doctor caring for her is very professional, thorough and informative. Every staff member that we have encountered, or, observed have been friendly and caring. If my husband or I have a concern or question about anything; we have never been made to feel that anyone was too busy to respond. We have been there several times when her dinner was delivered promptly at 5:00 pm. It has always smelled and looked delicious and according to mom, it tasted as good as it looked. Every meal is nutritious and there's usually too much for her to finish. There are times when mom may have to wait 10 or 15 minutes for someone to respond to her call button (when she pushes it, there is a light outside her room that is activated). We realize that the staff is not standing around and waiting for her to indicate that she needs them so that they can see who can be the first to answer her call for help! They are caring for more people than just our loved one. Mom will require long-term care now. Unfortunately, there is a waiting list for an available bed in the long-term residence sections. We can only hope if she does have to go to another facility, that she will be shown the kindness and care that she's been receiving at Huntersville Oaks! "

"My mom is at Autumn Care. They're very attentive to their clients. My mom is in a room by herself. It has its own bathroom with a walk-in shower. They have a really nice physical therapy room, a salon, and several living rooms where families can gather in very large spaces. They have one room up front that has a baby grand piano. From time to time, families go in there and can play. The staff is very good."

"I have a loved one currently at this facility! She is receiving rehab services and is making great progress! She really loves the food committee team (where they get to proactively contribute to what goes on their menu). She has several CNAs that she loves and hasn't had any issues with the nursing staff. She also loves the unique events the activities department schedules. When I visit my loved one is clean, up in her wheelchair, and most importantly, HAPPY! My loved one has even considered staying here on a long term basis, vs returning back home. All in all we could not be happier. This facility has made a lot of positive changes and it truly reflects in the care they provide their residents. They treat my loved one like family."

"I would like to sincerely express my appreciation and gratitude for the excellent care I received from everyone at Olde Knox Commons Skilled Nursing Facility. Thank you isn’t enough, I wish I could send a care package of extra energy, strength, love, and compassion to each one of the dedicated heroes at OKC. I wish that I could mention each staff member who has provided care for my mother by name, but I am not there onsite to know everyone by name. However, I would like to share that from the initial telephone call with Thalisha in admissions, Kaitlin in the marketing department, and the first care planning meeting facilitated by Susan was executed with professionalism and she made sure that all of my concerns and questions were addressed. After my initial interactions with these first three departments, I knew my mother was going to receive excellent care. The physical, speech, and occupational therapists are highly skilled, and they have worked miracles with my mother. I would be remiss not to mention the 700-hall physician, nurse practitioners, nurses, CNA’s, maintenance, and housekeeping because collectively they ensure that my mother's daily needs are not only addressed but they do it with compassion, kindness, and with a smile. My mother also fondly shares that the chef whose name is Coach takes the time to provide her with the special utensils that she needs to eat her meals. And Christine the Activities Director is an Angel sent along the way, she has been the glue that has helped my mother with transitioning to this community. If you are looking for a great skilled nursing facility look no further, they are the BEST! "

"I went several times to tour the Huntersville Health & Rehabilitation Center. The only thing is that it was hard to get in touch with their admissions office, so that was a struggle. The facility was really nice. It was spectacular, but I didn't see a whole lot of interacting people. It was really close to the house. I've been there so many times because the facility is absolutely spectacular. It has equipment almost like Gold Gym. I haven't seen as big of a rehab facility on the tours I've been on. There are so many treadmills, bikes, and things that look like they're simulated out of a car. They have this thing that I haven't seen anywhere else. It helps the person to be able to walk on sand at the beach, cobblestone, hardwood floors, and carpeting. It changes surfaces. Their rehab was just unbelievable. In their rooms, there was a glider and a big bed. You would think you're in a master bedroom. When you walked in there, there was a bathroom suite that two rooms share. The rooms are divided up, and they have their own separate doors. It was really nice. They had a library and a movie room. It was just really spectacular. They had an outdoor area that was a big center. It was locked, so that you can walk inside of that area on the outdoors and still be in a locked area in the middle of the building. You don't have to go outside the building. It was like an open area or courtyard. The staff has to actually swipe their card to get you in that courtyard, so I like that concept. The staff who took me around were very helpful. Their dinning area was pretty much a cafeteria style. There were two people at two separate tables eating. Everybody else was in the room eating."

"I visited the Genesis Health Center, and it was a very nice center. The administrator showed us around. She was very nice and very informative. I was pleased with the facility, and that was where I wanted my mother to go. The administrator was very cordial, and she answered all our questions. I liked her. "
