"My mother is currently at the Laurels of Salisbury. It is a full-care nursing facility, and it was better than some others I went in. It is reasonably clean and I liked it because it was a little bit smaller than some of the others. The staff seems to be well trained and to know what they are supposed to do. Everybody seems able to manage the tasks they have. Most of the residents really do need quite a lot of care, and that is what they do. Her room is adequate, it's not very big. She actually shares a room because she does not like to be by herself. My mother eats almost everything they bring her, so she seems to like the food. "

"I was there for REHAB. Rooms were very clean. Staff was great and helped so much to make my stay better. The Physical and Occupational Therapists were the best! The Nurse and CNA’s were so positive and helpful. I would highly recommend Liberty Commons for Rehabilitation. Thanks to all the ladies in Rehab, My favorite CNA’s Mecca and Jaime and Nurse Christina. Others but not enough room to name. Thank you!"

"My dad stayed at Alston Brook for about a month. The hospital where he was made the arrangements and put him there. I also heard that it was a nice facility. They treated the residents well and I was impressed by the care they gave the residents. The employees seemed very good to the residents and there was a family-like atmosphere. He was in a single room and they had a large room, cafeteria, ice cream shop where the residents could get a cone or cup each day, and places where they gathered and talked. The only thing i did not like was they kept doing rehabilitation on him when they knew he was hospice eligible. Still, I would choose this facility if I need to go in one. "

"My husband was a patient at Big Elm for rehab and I cannot say enough about their service. Their staff exceeded our expectations and were very friendly. The center was always clean and their newly renovated rooms are beautiful. Big Elm you are the best. "

"The staff is an inclusive group that seem to really care about each other. The building was clean with no odors. The staff engage with the residents and strive to keep them clean and healthy. More than adequate number of staff. Translators on site for Hispanic residents."

"They are currently doing remodeling, and it will be much more up-to-date when they are finished. The rooms are very clean and are cleaned daily and more thorough than even at the hospital. The food was very good for being in such a large setting and offered alternate options if you didn't like what they were serving that day. The staff was very courteous, pleasant and helpful. When you ring the bell for help, the response is not immediate, but you aren't left for hours like at a previous community. I felt safe there since they monitor entrance and exits. I was at a facility last year for three weeks and this facility is superior overall in all aspects!"

"I was shocked at how bad this place is. My father was placed here with the intention of getting rehab but never saw any. He was in their care for a little over a week and a half and several times we came and had to get someone to get him a bath or change his clothes which should have been done without having to ask. The Cna's are awful.... Not all but most if the ones we encountered. You have to have a heart for the job and many are there just to collect a paycheck. The end came for us when we arrived at 12:30 one afternoon, my father had been in the same shirt for two days... No bath.. We called for a nurse. They found he had gained an infection so bad on his back died that he immediately had to be transported by EMS. If he had been cared for and checked daily I believe it would have been found sooner. My father said they never came when he would ring his bell, or it took them forever. I would never place a loved one at this facility!!!!! Their own staff said they were trying to leave because it was so bad there. The smell is awful and so is the service. The rn's were great... That us about the only nice thing I can say. They should be ashamed of their facility and someone needs to investigate. We are filing a complaint. My father had to have a surgery that he almost didn't make it out of because he received less than appropriate care here. "

"My brother is at Avante at Concord. He has been there for two weeks now. They provide high flow oxygen therapy, and that was the key thing. Most of the places do not have that. My brother says the food is excellent, too. Regarding the building, it is old. The inside is nice, but the outside is not. They have a very nice courtyard. And they have daily activities. They do bingo, church services, and gospel music. They do outdoor stuff but I'm not sure what it consists of."

"My mother was recently in skilled nursing following a hip replacement. She was there 45 days. She arrived with a UTI, and anemia that handicapped her initial therapies. The Five Oaks staff did an outstanding job caring for her and getting her to a point where she could function again. I have nothing but praise for them. A friend whose father fractured his hip a few weeks ago was able to have his dad admitted. He is making very good progress at this time and the family is pleased with his Five Oaks experience. "

"My dad is at the Universal Healthcare. It is pretty good, and I like it. They take really good care of him. For now he is independent because he can do a lot of things on his own, but he has dementia and they make sure he has his right medicine. I love the community and the surroundings. The staff was fine. They keep me informed on the very things that goes on and everything that they do. I have a meeting with them to go over with the details and everything on how my dad's treatment is coming along. We used to meet at least once a month or once every other month. "
