"Clemmons Village II was too expensive for us. I only saw a one-bedroom. It just didn't appeal at all. It had a very gracious area outside with flowers, and it's been very well landscaped. When you first go in, there were quite a few residents in their wheelchairs with their heads hanging over (which is not what I'm looking for my mother). The lady there was very nice and showed me what I needed to see, but it wasn't acceptable because the room was too small. There were two buildings, so I went to the wrong one. The lady there at that one was just so nice and sent me on my way. She said she was the director over at that building. I went back to Clemmons Village II, and then met with the lady. She was very nice and answered all my questions. She was very thorough at explaining everything."

"I have my husband at Brookdale Salisbury and I couldn't be happier with how the facility is run , the staff are wonderful and the residents are just precious. Brookdale Salisbury offers a variety of activities for everyone. My first impression when I toured the facility was how bright , clean and cheerful it was. I felt a sense of peace the moment I was there. Now going there a few days every week , I have gotten to know everyone , and you couldn't ask for a nicer staff. Everyone is helpful and so friendly. I'm so pleased with the experience of my husband living there, that I have already told my family , if my needs are assisted living, I would like them to place me at Brookdale Salisbury!"

"My husband has moved into Brookdale Skeet Club. So far, it's great. Of course they're keeping a lot of visitors out because of the coronavirus that is going on right now. I go see him and talk to him on the phone every day, so that makes me feel really good. I haven't met many of the staff, but the ones that I have met are extremely courteous and helpful. I don't know much about the food because I'm never there at breakfast, lunch, or dinner, but I'm sure my husband would be complaining if he didn't like it. The facility's cleanliness is very good. For my husband's room we were able to take our own bed, dresser, chair, and TV, which was kinda nice because that way we were able to take what he wanted instead of just what was in there. I don't know much about activities because he had to be quarantined for the first 14 days he was there. I don't know much about their activities because I haven't seen my husband participating. The facility is very good and very nice. I wish it was cheaper because it's pretty expensive. My hope right now is that within a couple of months the VA is going to kick in."

"We went to Harmony at Brookberry Farm. It's nice and new. I think it's three years old. The apartments are very cute. They have some architectural features that are not seen in any other apartments. But they only had a very small kitchen, and where it was located was not ideal. It's right by a school. It was just kind of on the outer rim of where we wanted to stay. All the things were very nice though. They had two elevators. It's newer compared to all the other ones that we've seen. They have a library, a little gym, and a theater. It was very nice, but it just wasn't a fit for us. The staff who assisted me was very nice."

"My client is at Kerner Ridge. It is a very nice place. It is very, very clean. The staff is excellent. They have assisted living and Alzheimer's units. My client has a good size room. It has a private bath. They also have an area that is separate from their normal bathrooms that they could get into a deep soaked tub, kind of a therapy whirlpool. That is pretty interesting too. I thought that was surprising. They have multiple things going on every single day. I have seen a lot of different people doing arts and crafts. They have a huge arts and crafts room. They will have lots of different people that will come in and bring their guitars. They have like daytrips where they will take them where they want to go. However, my client has never participated in that. "

"My mother is in Heritage Greens. She was in independent living and we had to move her to assisted living. The independent living was excellent, and there was good communication. They have the same thing down at the assisted living place. It is great. The staff members appear to know what they're doing. They're good. The maintenance crews are prompt and take care of things. I have no complaints. She's got dementia and we're having some issues with her eating and everything, but they've got a good selection and she said it's good. They remodel the room between people. They asked us what color we wanted it painted, they upgraded the flooring, put in granite countertops, and come in with housekeeping and collect trash. She's only been in the assisted living part for two days. So far, it's excellent. I think they try to do a good job with the food. They've bent over backward to help accommodate what she needs."

"Brookdale Northwest was very good. The person that manages that facility is very helpful. I am going back out there again next week as that maybe the place that we put my mom. They have special events for holidays, they celebrate different countries, like they all have a week where they are celebrating Peru. All the music, performances, and meals from Peru. They have a prom and they crown the king and the queen of the prom. They have somebody come in and do dances. It’s a residential neighborhood, very well maintained. It’s not too far from the airport, so it’s in a very nice part of Greensboro. There wouldn’t be any issues or concerns about safety. The rooms were nice, spacious, clean and very well-kept. It’s homey. "

"I toured Harmony at Greensboro, and it was very nice. The floor plan was open, and people were gathered around in different spots and talking. The staff was very nice and friendly and gave good information. I noticed that a couple of the residents were involved in physical therapy for some injury they had, and other people were having coffee and sitting around talking. They have a menu up for every day. The way the food works is that you can pick one meal a day, either lunch or dinner, that you want to have there, which is supplied."

"We toured Spring Arbor of Greensboro. Their staff was topnotch, and their building was amazing. I'm sure it's a great place, but it just didn't fit my parents' needs as well as the other facility. A small portion of it was memory care, and the other part was assisted living. The assisted living was just gorgeous. It looked like they have lots of activities. On the assisted living side, they have amenities like a place to get your haircut and a coffee bar, which was very cool. If my mother was able to be in assisted living and my father on the memory care side, we totally would have taken that place. We definitely would have gone there if everything would have worked out. I only talked to the admin; I don't know the rest of the staff. They looked like they would be good."

"We've chosen Brookdale Lawndale Park for my mother-in-law, the place is absolutely wonderful, and we have no qualms with it. It's absolutely awesome. It is a very social community that she will easily fit right into. The staff is absolutely wonderful, they call us, and we've been able to call them. They are giving us information on a weekly basis, and it's been great. The facility is well run, it is very nice, and very kept."
