"I toured Cadence Living - Huntersville. I like the ambiance, the setting, and the choices of food—the choices of options of things to do, like crafts and exercise. I like the rooms. I saw the library, the exercise room, and the crafts room. I saw the covered outside seating area."

"Arbor Ridge at Huntersville is brand spanking new, so it's very nice. It was a good location. It's kind of hard not to like, but being brand new, they hadn't proven their programs and things like that yet. The staff was professional. They had a billiards table, and they had quality spaces in terms of being kind of plush. We looked at their monthly plan, and the activities seemed OK. They had fun activities. We looked at both assisted and independent living. The residents were very friendly. They had an outdoor area, but it's located next to an interstate, so it's not nearly as tranquil as other communities. It was subject to interstate noise."

"I had a nice tour of Dilack Home. I like the atmosphere. The only thing they had was the available apartment suite, which was not within my budget, so I couldn't do that. Mom would have one bedroom that was pretty large. It was furnished and had a bed and your use of closet. In the apartment homes, they had their own little kitchenettes, which my mother did not need because she had dementia. The staff who gave the tour was very nice and very informative."

"My tour at Cadence Mooresville was awesome. I was a walk-in, so they went ahead and immediately talked to me a little bit about the center and what they have. I was able to see a modern model room. I was also able to connect with different people from the center who were able to talk to me and answer questions. It was a really good experience. It was very clean and very organized. There were things that they had on-site that I didn't think they would and didn't even think about. And they had an on-site beauty salon where they bring in beauticians, and they had a little gym that they use a lot for physical therapy and occupational therapy. They try to do some exercise routines for people, and they talk about the social activities that they had for their people. It was an awesome tour. The people were super friendly, and being a walk-in so it's not a scheduled tour, I just kind of caught them off guard a little bit. And it was still a great experience. They also had a little patio area where, there's a grill out there if you want to do a cookout with your loved one or have a family birthday party, or maybe you just want to spend some time with them, so you could do that. The rooms were awesome, very, very spacious, they were very handicap accessible, and ADA Compliant. I honestly like that they were pet friendly since my mom had a dog. So it's nice for a loved one to still be able to keep their pets and not have to lose them. So overall, the facility was great."

"There is a reason this beautiful location is in a residential area and feels like home to the residents. The managers and staff take pride in it inside and out AND take pride in their care of the residents inside and out! The lower staff-to-resident ratio allows management and staff to focus on the residents and their specific needs. The facility does not feel, look, nor “smell” institutional, staff is attentive and responsive, and our family loves that we can focus our time on our loved one rather than on what staff did wrong & the treatment of our loved one! ALL facilities in the industry should aspire to be like this one that is comprehensively a breath of fresh air! We love them! The rooms are beautifully and creatively appointed with little need for families to bring more furniture. Staff are thorough in their communications with families and will call and text with updates on any specific issues of concern. I’ve witnessed staff doing art activities and sitting on the porch talking with the residents as if they were their own family! They even share how loved ones respond! The yard and porch allow for residents to take in the beauty of the place rather than being stuck in their rooms and staring at the 4 walls all day! This facility thrives on social interaction with its residents. The meals are delicious to the residents and it is precious to watch staff interact, feed, and encourage family members to do the same in a dining room that looks like home where they make everyone feel welcome! Every time I bring family & friends to visit our loved one, they are thoroughly impressed!"

"My dad is in TerraBella Salisbury. I like that they have caring quality staff, it's clean, and there are many activities for my father to do. They have exercise classes, there's a family room if your family would like to visit, an outdoor walking area, and outdoor patios. He's got a large private room that's kept clean and well maintained. My dad seems to be satisfied with the food."

"Brookdale Charlotte East assisted living looked pretty nice and I enjoyed the tour. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The rooms and dining area were really nice. Everything was neat and in order. They got plenty of activities. They had a fitness room, piano, one big room where people gather, and a barber shop. It's pretty ideal for me."

"My father was a resident at The Little Flower in Mint Hill, NC and we consider ourselves blessed to have found the place. It's not a huge facility and it's size is really part of its charm. The staff works together as a team and truly cares for the residents. I could not have wished for better care for my father and am eternally grateful he was there when the pandemic started. He was extremely well-cared for when we could no longer be by his side. "

"Peninsula Family Care Home was not like a big facility. It is smaller which is a type of home that I'm interested in looking at now for mom. There's a kitchen with a table and a family room, which would be inviting for the group to hang out together. I liked that. They have kind of a family feel."

"We went to Cadence Senior Living at Mint Hill and met Elizabeth. She showed us some rooms, the activity room, the dining room, and the hair salon they got. It was very nice. I saw one with two beds in it and she said you could also turn it into a single room, instead of having two people in there. The room was good and the bathroom was big with grab bars that you could hold onto. They have a room for activities and a sitting room where you can visit with families. She walked us out to this covered outside area where you can do some walks. The menu looked good too."
