"I toured Denver Family Care Home. It was just a house with six people and a caretaker. It was absolutely lovely and so pristine. The person who is the 14-day on and 14-day off staff member who was present was wonderful, available, and informative. She didn't even know we were coming. The residents were clean. Their rooms were clean. The house was clean. Everyone was eating and having breakfast and going about their day. It's very organized. It's a lovely place. I wish it was a good fit for my father-in-law, but unfortunately not. If he needed assisted living, it would be perfect."

"My father is in memory care at Peninsula Family Care Home, and it's very good. The rooms were very nice, furnished, and very clean. This is a small six-bed family home. It has a family room, a bedroom, a kitchen, and a breakfast area. The staff is very good. Because it's small with only six beds, it's very individualized type of care. There are no amenities. They have some activities that they try to do with the residents, such as playing some games or doing puzzles or something, but it's not like your typical assisted living that has 100 beds or so."

"I would say that they rate right there, along with the other facilities I have been to, as far as all of the amenities. It was very laid out, very much a home setting, very caring staff and they tried really hard to get my sister in there. But, because she can do a few too many things for herself at this time, she doesn’t qualify for total Medicaid assistance, and I have to wait till she does before I can place her. The staff was very nice -- they gave us a lot of information and just by the way they greeted all of the residents who live there, you could tell, they interacted and all of them knew everyone’s name. It was just a very caring group of people, and I’d love to get my sister in there. They invited us to have a meal but if I were to take her over there for lunch, she would panic and think that she will go now, because she has done that already. They were very neat and clean and caring. There was just nothing negative there, except for the fact that they told her that she could bring her dogs, which I think that was stupid, because her dogs are not healthy, so the dogs are not going to be able go. This is going to be one thing I am going to have to yank away from her. I would recommend this facility just because several of our friends' mothers are very happy there. "

"We toured Cadence Huntersville. There were a lot of things that I liked about it, but I liked the friendliness of the staff. I liked the cleanliness of it. I liked all the activities that they had there. It just seems like a very family-orientated community. We did get a chance to meet the chef, and we were very impressed with the chef. We looked at the studio plus the kitchenette."

"There are truly no words to describe this amazing 6 resident care home. Our mother was there only a brief time of 3 weeks and we wouldn't have wanted her anywhere else during the last weeks of her life. The staff here and VIA (Hospice) provided excellent care to our mother and our family. The staff are loving, compassionate and dedicated to caring for Seniors. This home is for more acutely ill residents so the level of care is much more hands on. It truly exceeded our expectations! We will never be able to thank these care givers enough for their "loving care". Please consider this home if you are needing a place for your senior loved one."

"The community is very nice and very attractive. I saw a lot of amenities but I don't like it because it's very big but I liked the environment there. "

"My wife was a resident of Jurney's Assisted Living. The grounds were in good shape, looked nice, and looked like they're cared for. The rooms were clean, too. The staff seemed pretty nice, but I was not there 24/7, and my wife didn't like some of them. There were a couple of them who she's real tight with, though. The food was served cold most of the time. Like the french fries weren't cooked all the way and they're cold. The food's not the best. They had bingo and church services on Sundays and Wednesdays. They had a time for painting, too. The management there was super friendly and super nice, at least the staff that I've run across. They always say hi to you. They're friendly, but the food just really knocked them down a little bit."
