"We toured TerraBella Harrisburg. The facility was very nice and clean, and when we were there, the patients seemed happy and well cared for. We saw the open area where dining was taking place for some more capable patients. Then there was another area for those who are at a more advanced level of dementia. So, that was a secured area, and understanding how my mom, the stage that she's in, the patients seemed content but not sedated. It was one of the things I was really looking for. Some of the patients were occupied and doing their thing, but not somewhere like zombies. I could tell they were in a state that they needed more security, more care, and it appeared that they were being provided what they needed. They provided meals, and we saw a menu, and it looked like a great menu."

"My tour at Cadence Mooresville was awesome. I was a walk-in, so they went ahead and immediately talked to me a little bit about the center and what they have. I was able to see a modern model room. I was also able to connect with different people from the center who were able to talk to me and answer questions. It was a really good experience. It was very clean and very organized. There were things that they had on-site that I didn't think they would and didn't even think about. And they had an on-site beauty salon where they bring in beauticians, and they had a little gym that they use a lot for physical therapy and occupational therapy. They try to do some exercise routines for people, and they talk about the social activities that they had for their people. It was an awesome tour. The people were super friendly, and being a walk-in so it's not a scheduled tour, I just kind of caught them off guard a little bit. And it was still a great experience. They also had a little patio area where, there's a grill out there if you want to do a cookout with your loved one or have a family birthday party, or maybe you just want to spend some time with them, so you could do that. The rooms were awesome, very, very spacious, they were very handicap accessible, and ADA Compliant. I honestly like that they were pet friendly since my mom had a dog. So it's nice for a loved one to still be able to keep their pets and not have to lose them. So overall, the facility was great."

"I toured the TerraBella Salisbury. I thought it was fine for them to assess my brother-in-law to determine where he fits, so they could give us a fairly good ballpark figure on what the cost would be. The executive director did the assessment and asked the questions well. My only complaint was that they didn't offer lunch. They have a common space that looks adequate. Since the weather wasn't warm, we didn't go outside to look at their patio, but I like the idea of having one."

"Cadence Huntersville was fantastic. I got to tour their assisted living, but I also spent probably 40 minutes in a sit-down meeting with them and I was impressed. It has the flexibility if my mother had to go into memory care, for my dad to come to see her if they had to be separated. I like that option. Dad would also have that option to sign himself out for the day and come back in with flexibility. So, there are a lot of things that would work for my parents. They have a salon and barbershop depending on what day of the week it is because they don't have the barbershop all week long. They have groups that they take out to go shopping and things like that but I don't think my parents will be using that. The place felt very homey. "

"We toured Arbor Ridge at Huntersville. It had very friendly staff. It's very clean. It had a lot of activities, and pretty much it was just as nice as the other one that we visited. They had coloring activities for the individuals that stayed there. They were singing songs. It's a very good facility."

"The rooms are nice and have everything that you need. The staff is very friendly and courteous. There is activities daily if you choose to do them."

"My father is in memory care at Peninsula Family Care Home, and it's very good. The rooms were very nice, furnished, and very clean. This is a small six-bed family home. It has a family room, a bedroom, a kitchen, and a breakfast area. The staff is very good. Because it's small with only six beds, it's very individualized type of care. There are no amenities. They have some activities that they try to do with the residents, such as playing some games or doing puzzles or something, but it's not like your typical assisted living that has 100 beds or so."

"I had a nice tour of Dilack Home. I like the atmosphere. The only thing they had was the available apartment suite, which was not within my budget, so I couldn't do that. Mom would have one bedroom that was pretty large. It was furnished and had a bed and your use of closet. In the apartment homes, they had their own little kitchenettes, which my mother did not need because she had dementia. The staff who gave the tour was very nice and very informative."

"I toured Denver Family Care Home. It was just a house with six people and a caretaker. It was absolutely lovely and so pristine. The person who is the 14-day on and 14-day off staff member who was present was wonderful, available, and informative. She didn't even know we were coming. The residents were clean. Their rooms were clean. The house was clean. Everyone was eating and having breakfast and going about their day. It's very organized. It's a lovely place. I wish it was a good fit for my father-in-law, but unfortunately not. If he needed assisted living, it would be perfect."

"I am so pleased with the care my mother receives. The facility is clean and well maintained her private room reflects her personality and provides all the comforts of home. The common areas are like a family home. The areas are safe and well lit and provide interesting decor that stimulates conversation. The grounds are beautiful and full of birds and flowers and trees. I am so grateful for finding this haven of peace and security. The staff is attentive and kind. The response to my questions and requests are prompt and graciously received. "I toured The Little Flower Assisted Living a year ago, but my mother-in-law wasn't ready to go. The rooms were nice and pretty spacious. They had a chapel that the residents could go to and a nice little beauty shop. The facility looked like a home. They had a beautiful wraparound porch with flowers and bird feeders. It is not very big. I can't remember how many rooms they had, but it's sort of small and quaint. The lady who took us on a tour was sweet. Everybody seemed nice and informative. The layout was nice. They had a little garden in the middle. It was kind of U-shaped, so they had rooms on either side of the building. They had a nice little living room area and a little craft room area."
