"I thought TerraBella Harrisburg was very interesting. I didn't have any problems with the tour. They were very friendly. When we walked through, the staff would stop and say 'hey' and greet us. I thought that they were very open and receptive. They didn't have as much open space when you first went in the front area. They had other areas throughout the facility where you could sit and get out of your room a little bit. It was a clean area, though. They had other places where my friend could go and sit. She was interested in reading, and they had a library section, which was very nice. She was glad about that. Overall, I had no problems with it."

"Brookdale Concord Parkway was very pleasant and bright when we went inside. It was very clean. There were no odors or anything like that, and we didn't smell anything. There were sitting areas like in a living room where they could visit, socialize, or just sit to get out of their room. The gentleman, Blake, who greeted us, was very pleasant. They didn't have a lot of room options there. There were two rooms we could choose from, and we chose the larger one. We were also able to go into one that had been refurbished. They had just painted and done the carpeting and stuff on. The rooms were very spacious. There's plenty of room to settle in and make it their own. The staff who gave the tour was excellent. I didn't have any complaints or concerns. She was very upfront and answered our questions."

"I had a nice tour of Dilack Home. I like the atmosphere. The only thing they had was the available apartment suite, which was not within my budget, so I couldn't do that. Mom would have one bedroom that was pretty large. It was furnished and had a bed and your use of closet. In the apartment homes, they had their own little kitchenettes, which my mother did not need because she had dementia. The staff who gave the tour was very nice and very informative."

"There are truly no words to describe this amazing 6 resident care home. Our mother was there only a brief time of 3 weeks and we wouldn't have wanted her anywhere else during the last weeks of her life. The staff here and VIA (Hospice) provided excellent care to our mother and our family. The staff are loving, compassionate and dedicated to caring for Seniors. This home is for more acutely ill residents so the level of care is much more hands on. It truly exceeded our expectations! We will never be able to thank these care givers enough for their "loving care". Please consider this home if you are needing a place for your senior loved one."

"I toured Brookdale Charlotte East. The rooms were great, and I loved the price. They had semi-private rooms to help alleviate some of the price, and then they had small private and large private rooms. I liked the rooms, and I love the staff. They were very friendly, and I liked what they offered, but it just wasn't going to meet mom's care."

"I visited Charter Senior Living of Charlotte and toured their assisted living facility. The facility was very nice, and the employees I met were very nice and very knowledgeable. They helped me understand how the process works. They were just ready to be available with anything that I needed. They were also very caring and compassionate. Everything was very neat and clean. As soon as you pulled up, the grounds were very neatly manicured, so it was very presentable. The room I saw was a nice size with a bed and sofa. It also had a little kitchenette with a refrigerator. There was no stove, but I think it was manageable."

"The Little Flower Assisted Living has a very friendly atmosphere. They have entertainment during the week here, playing games, and things like that. The staff is very caring. The food is like that from a restaurant. It's very good. My room is like a hotel room. It's comfortable, and I can look out the window and see the garden. I have no complaints."

"I went to TerraBella Cramer Mountain. I liked it very much. It was beautiful and I would have wanted to have stayed, but it was nearing $5,000 a month. It's very friendly. A lot of eyes watching lovingly and caringly for the person who's there. Not intrusive, just watching. There was a lot to do depending on how you might feel. You were welcome to a place where you could walk on flat cement. You could have your own little garden. They had gardening spots. I just found it really something that I'd like. I was assisted by someone and she was very helpful. It's not all business. She could interject some things, for instance, I complimented the shirt she was wearing and she discussed a little bit about it. I found that relaxing for me. I found that it calmed me down because this is a big step for me. She stayed with us until the very end of the visit, and I must have stayed there about an hour. She took us all around. They had some rooms that probably she had talked with them beforehand and they allowed us in to see how big the room was, how I might set my own up, how the shower looked, just things like that. People that would be in the hallway navigating to wherever it was they were going, even they were the most pleasant. Everyone seemed happy. We walked into the dining room and they were eating. There was a menu bulletin up of what they were going to be having that day. There were tables, maybe that four would sit at, and everything was more like a restaurant. It was really nice and clean. There was nothing to trip on. There was no carpeting in that hallway adjoining the different wings. There were ample guardrails to hang onto. Nothing outside like loose bricks that might cause someone to fall. It was really very nice."

"My mom is staying at Cadence Mint Hill. We're very happy with it. They take good care of my mom. They check on her throughout the day and night. My mom is wheelchair-bound, and they get her up and do things with her. They're doing the best they can. She's towards the end of the line, but she's doing okay. There are always activities. They have people come in. Every holiday, they decorate. They have hair-cutting and nail-cutting services there. Everybody seems very happy and friendly. All the patients talk to us, and they think the place is great, so we can't complain about anything. Everything seems to be nice. The staff members are top-notch people. If they find that my mother has a problem with something, they call us and let us know. They keep us updated. The cleaning staff comes in and cleans her room and bathroom. Everybody is very friendly and helpful towards my mom. So I can't say anything negative about them. The food looks great. The price just recently increased, but it's very doable."
