Dad loved looking at nature from his room; horses, cows, birds, and rabbits. The fall gave him beautiful trees and in the spring lovely flowers. The rooms were easy to move around in and just big enough. The caregivers were kind and helpful. The residents are friendly and supportive. The price is reasonable. The food good, but not like home. Dad didn't participate in many activities, but was always encourged to.

I have had friends or family members at Caremoor Retirement Center for the twenty years they have been open. I find them to be extremely compassionate and caring for their residents. The atmosphere and country setting provide for a beautiful and peaceful living. Staff is professional, friendly and assists with everything from getting dressed to showering to eating depending on the personal need of the residents. As a privately own facility, the owners are on site daily and available 24/7. The owner has all the credentials to run a facility with an education in medical and Public Health Administration. There are three facilities for residents to choose from; Independent Living Apartments, Carriage House with six private rooms with bath and Caremoor Retirement Center. The same assistance is provided at both Caremoor and Carriage House. I would highly recommend this great facility.

It seems that the owners try to bait people with the Carriage House and then a month later insist on moving your loved one into the main building. The food is not good and seems to all come out of cans. Beware that this retirement community cuts corners. The bathrooms are small and do not allow enough room if your loved one needs assistance to get to the bathroom. We also have had issues with transportation and proper grooming. In order to make improvements, the owners need to have more presence and insist that the residents have their needs met. Would not recommend Caremoor unless your loved one is able to perform their own personal hygeine.
