"We have been using the in-home care services of Assisting Hands Home Care - East Charlotte for my parents. They're here 24 hours a day, so they usually have 3 staff members come here daily. They're very good and very helpful. They do some cooking and cleaning, plus they take my parents to their medical appointments. They also monitor their medications to make sure they take the proper amount of the medicine they're supposed to be taking. The billing is very good, and they're very easy to work with. We are in contact with them seven days a week. Anytime we have a problem, we can call them. They're very good."

It was important to my brothers, sisters and me that my mother was well cared for in our home. What was so impressive was that I literally put in a request and Emma, who owns Gentle Shepherd Care, called me back within five minutes. She was confident and caring. She came out to our home and gave an assessment in order to say what her requirements were for Gentle Shepherd to be able to help mom better. It was all things for mom: a grab bar in the shower, changing the toilet seat, changing the entrance to our home. We hit it off right away. Building trust with someone is really hard. You are bringing them into your home. You give them a code to your home. Gentle Shepherd Care sent a caregiver to us for four hours each day so that we could go to work.
