"Wellmore of Tega Cay is only a year old. It’s brand new, and so it’s going to have that brand-new smell and a new look, and I appreciate that. There weren't any mysterious stains on the carpets, and you can’t beat their amenities. They had a swimming pool, and that feeling of more of a resort than an assisted living place. I was actually looking for a memory center, and their memory center is a small facility. They didn’t have as many beds as the other one I saw had. But, it was nice, and we could afford it. "

Administrators presence on a daily basis, and frequently visit patients.Our choice after visiting several facilities.As a care giver spent three months here .,Included two stays. "My mother has been in White Oak Manor in York for two years. The entire staff has been so caring and compassionate to both my mom and myself. It was a hard transition for both of us and they all treated us like their own family. As my mom has declined the staff has been very quick to adjust to her needs and keep me informed of every change. I visit almost every day and when I walk through the door I know she and her friends will all be happy, clean and well fed. The activities department makes a huge difference in the residents day. They have so many activities and include all the residents. I would be lost without them."

"My dad was at Pavilion Health Center at Brightmore for a month. It was wonderful. They had activities, although my father didn’t participate because he was in occupational, speech, and physical therapy five days a week, so he was very busy. It was a wonderful facility with fantastic therapists and great rooms, which were actual, individual rooms instead of just like hospital rooms. It looked like a bedroom with a bed and a nightstand, a wardrobe, drawers, dressers, a mini refrigerator, and a nice bathroom. The bathroom was beautifully tiled. It was really nice. I highly would recommend it. The workers' attitudes were very good. They really cared about the patients and really wanted them to improve. The facility was also very clean; I saw someone cleaning every time I visited. The food was OK. The dining room was a beautiful, huge room. My family had my father’s 84th birthday party there. "

The building is clean, the staff seem really happy, and the care is clearly high priority. A big thank you to the therapists. This is not just a job for them. Miracles are happening here and I recommend giving them a chance. "

"The Stewart Health center under The Cypress community was where my husband is staying. It was very clean and very cheerful, and the employees were very positive and considerate. My husband’s room is spacious, adequate, comfortable, and as nice as any I’ve ever seen. The food is excellent. They have lectures, games, entertainment on hand, and exercise programs. "

"Everything is good at White Oak. The staff is good. They're very helpful, and they're on time. It's very clean. I don't see any problems with any of it. I would recommend it. I don't have any complaints about it. They've got musical groups that come in. They had physical therapy where patients sit in chairs, then they kind of dance while they're sitting down. They have musical groups, like they had three people singing songs with three guitarists. They also play bingo and scrabble. It's clean, and they take good care of the people. The patients are well taken care of. "

"Sharon Towers has a beautiful, welcoming campus and amenities. It allows residents to stay for as long as possible in assisted living residences, but also provides 24/7 nursing care to residents needing the additional support. The staff were all very nice, kind, and understanding. They listened to my comments and provided excellent feedback about my friend. "

"My husband was recently at Sardis Oaks for a bad knee injury. He shared a room and they are small, but the care he got made up for the small room. The rehabilitation staff and facility is excellent and that was our main reason for going there. The nursing staff is caring and competent. The dietary staff helped deal with his not wanting to eat. People were in constantly to check on him, cutting up with him, and encouraging him. He was near the nurses station and sometimes it got a little louder than he would have liked. I would not hesitate to go back there, small room and all!"

"My mother is in Chester Nursing Center. She has improved and is doing quite well. They have activities and something different to do almost every day. The rooms are fine. The staff is excellent. All the people I've been associated with are very good. They have at least three meals a day and snacks. They have just about anything you can think of. They wash the clothes, have people come in to get haircuts, makeup people, and do nails for the ladies."

"My experience with this faculity was beyond pleasant. My church choir thought it be a great thing for us to go and sing christmas carols and give them baskets. This was my first time visiting, just walking in had a home feeling to it. The staff were so welcoming and helpful to the seniors that lived there. It was so clean and smelled wonderful, literally the floor was so clean that you could eat off it. The seniors were so welcoming as well they really enjoy our singing and loved their christmas baskets. I had so much fun seeing their faces light up when giving them their baskets and also seeing them sing-along. Us coming to visit really put them in the christmas spirit, just knowing there are other people that aren't relatively kin to them coming to see them to put smiles on their beautiful faces. It was a joy. "

"My father was discharged from Novant Hospital last month and we chose Carrington Place in Matthews, NC, for his rehab. THANK GOD! He has been to other rehab/nursing homes, which all came recommended to us by previous social workers at CMC (Carolina's Medical Center), but Carrington Place (for some reason) was never recommended to us from any of our (several) visits to CMC hospitals before....we were discharged from CMC 3 times last year and each time we were told to go to Sardis Oaks and Huntersville Oaks, (which are farther away from our house than Carrington Place) but we didn't choose Carrington Place because the CMC social worker did not "recommend" Carrington Place for rehab.... After several terrible experiences at the CMC Hospital "recommended" rehab nursing homes...we ended up back at the hospital. The most recent emergency, we went to Novant Hospital-Matthews, and after a week there, the social worker talked to us about rehab (here we go again!). However Carrington Place was actually a "preferred " rehab according to the nurse at Novant Hospital. When we visited Carrington Place, we weren't very impressed. It looks more like a home, than a top notch rehab...boy were we surprised! The care there was excellent!!! The nursing staff and therapy staff educated us, and helped plan ahead. Dad's nurses were the most genuine I've seen. We both learned more about his medical conditions in 3 weeks at Carrington Place than the previous 3 different rehabs combined When he was successfully discharged back home, he and I were both finding ourselves "missing" those special caretakers we had...If you need rehab, or a nursing home, go to Carrington Place. (Beware of the rehabs recommended by any of the CMC "case manager" nurses. ---It's very odd that the best rehab we have been to, was not recommended one single time until we went to Novant Hosptial "

"I placed my mother in Meadowwood about a month ago. The staff that work there are fantastic. They treat my mother with the utmost respect and dignity. They go above and beyond what their job calls for. She is in a dementia facility, and the rooms are nice. She has her own private room -- kind of like a hospital setting -- and she has her own bathroom. The food is fantastic. I actually eat there myself with her sometimes. They have all kinds of activities from reading the newspapers and books, karaoke, puzzles, and crafts. I like it because it has cameras. "
