"We found the Belaire Health Care Center for my mother. She's only been there a little bit, I guess it's going good, we can't go inside the facility because of the COVID, but we can visit at the window and with a telephone. You just see her in her room, they put her in a wheelchair, roll her to the window, and give her the phone. The staff is so far very nice and helpful. She has a private room, it looks nice, it has a hospital bed, but it has like a headboard and footboard that kind of looked like a home bed and a chair. It's nice. It looks clean, very clean everywhere, even outside. Her Medicare and her supplementary insurance is paying for it up to 100 days, she's in rehabilitation, and if she doesn't show progress she may have to leave and go somewhere else."

"For the most part, Stanley Total Living Center is an outstanding facility. In general, the place looks bright and doesn't seem to smell terribly bad. In addtion, it is clear that the staff holds a great deal of care for their patients. I've seen some of the most touching displays of kindness offered by their staff to members of ours who've been both residents and those who've had loved ones there. "

"My mother has lived her for two years. After all the nursing homes she has been at in the Gastonia I like this one the best. She has made lots of friends. They have a lot of activities that the residents can be involved in. I am a flight attendant and I don't worry about my Mom while I am gone. I have had some problems with the laundry. They have lost a lot of her clothes and refuse to reimburse me for them. I cannot bring anything too nice for my mother to wear because it will be gone. I can't tell you how many pair of black pants I have bought her that go missing. There is a kitty that lives there name Tiger and he brings life into the place. He makes it warms and inviting. My mom loves him so much. I would recommend this place. They are good to my Mother. I would also like to mention that the staff communicates with me. When something is going on with my Mom they always call me or talk to me while I am there. I have had problems with staff not communicating with me at other places. They also have more employees than other nursing homes. Most nursing home are several understaffed. White Oak seems to have more employees which helps with me feeling like she is taken care of while I am gone. I do know that these employees are severely underpaid and they have to do so much in the care of these people. It is an extremely hard job and they all need a raise. Their job is very important and underappreciated."

"We really liked Charlotte Healthcare Center. It was very clean, updated, nice, and newer-looking facility. The staff is really friendly. The only issue I had with them was communication. It was difficult to get through to speak to someone when you had a question or concern. Even though my father-in-law had a bracelet on his legs because he has slight dementia, he would go out the door. And even with the door alarm, the staff just couldn't get out quick enough to catch him, and he'd be out on the parking lot. He would want to just leave and go out the door. But the staff is really nice and friendly. He was always very clean and well-kept there. It would be nice if the residents would have an opportunity to be taken outside. He really just wanted to be able to go outside when the weather is nice. He actually thought he was in jail. But I understand there's not enough staff to do that. Also, one of the things that we're not happy about and trying to get change is a lot of his stuff have gotten missing. So we actually had to purchase a lock ourselves for his own cabinet so he won't lose things. "

"My mother is at Peak Resources. It was not so far from where I live, and the price was something that was not so terribly expensive. The staff is good. They have been very friendly, very helpful. She's currently in a private room, but she's on a waiting list to go into a semi-private when one becomes available. It's very adequate. It has a large bathroom that's easily accessible with a wheelchair and a shower that you can roll the wheelchair into. It's one of the nicest that I saw when I was looking around. This is a new facility. I think it just opened less than a year ago. There are activities. They have a large calendar on the wall and each day it lists the activities, what times and where they are, and what they are. They have things like bingo or internal things, and then they have people who come from outside from the church community. They come in and sing or do some things at different times, on different days. At first, she complained about the food, but I guess she has gotten more accustomed to it now, and she does like the food. I've eaten there a good many times, and I think the food is good. They have several different dining rooms and she goes to one of the smaller ones located in the assisted living area. If she wanted, she could go a little further into the larger dining room. They have a couple of rooms that would accommodate about 8 to 10 people so that if the family want to come in and eat with her, they can do that. "

"This is a wonderful facility. It looks like some of these reviews here are older. Our experience has been nothing but positive. The building is clean, the staff seem really happy, and the care is clearly high priority. A big thank you to the therapists. This is not just a job for them. Miracles are happening here and I recommend giving them a chance. "

"My aunt was a resident of this facility last year. She was treated with dignity, respect, and her wishes were always considered. Her situation was treated on an individual basis and all visitors were welcomed. We were treated with respect, the facility was nicely decorated, and the staff were kind. In the past I have visited facilities like this and wanted to run screaming the moment I walked in, this facility was nothing like that. It smelled clean, was welcoming and the patients didn't look like they'd been abandoned to die. They looked clean, cared for and happy. The nursing and other care staff should be credited with the job they do well. A lot of credit can go to the administrators alone, sometimes, but this is one facility where the nurses and CNA's go the extra mile to earn the credit they so rarely receive. The Brian Center of Lincolnton,NC and the nursing staff there are worth every penny they make going well out of there way to ensure the comfort of residents and visitors of the residents. "

"My sister recently had Rehabilitation there. All staff were very caring. Food was very good plenty of activities. Her Physical therapy was excellent "

"I liked Carolina Care Health and Rehabilitation. It was clean. It seemed like it was well run and everybody was friendly and nice. It's just hard getting in there. The room we saw was bright. It had plenty of space for your personal belongings in it. Both people had a TV in the room and there was like a wall in between so they wouldn't be looking at each other all the time. I liked that, too. The upkeep was good. I just wish they would call me back and answer the emails as they promised they said they would."

"This place treated my elderly sister so well that she even cried when she left!!! They took so good care of her from the nursing staff to the custodian staff. I even ate supper with her one night and I thought I was at a nice restaurant with an incredible chef! Loved this place for my sister and she loved it there Thank you to all the Cardinal Rehabilitation Center staff, you all are amazing people"

"Everything was wonderful at Wellmore of Tega Cay. The very spacious one- and two-bedrooms had washer dryer connections. The facility itself was really nice and beautiful, and had a pool and a salon, which does massages and nails. My mom is on the waiting list. The dining area was gorgeous, and the food was good that came from a menu that you could order from. It's like going out to dinner every night. "

"All in all, I would have to say that Boger City Rest home is pretty awesome. We had our doubts at first as we were use to being around my grandmother all of the time, but with the fact that everyone worked and no one was able to move in with her full time to help take care of her, we visited many facilities and Boger City Rest Home gave us the peace of mind of placing her in a living assisted establishment. My mom and dad were very vigilant about visiting often and still are to ensure that proper guidelines were being followed and up until now everything is fine. When I visited, my grandmother seemed very happy, not as happy as she would be as she would be at home, however very happy. I love the fact that she now feels a sense of community and has made very many friends at the Boger City Rest home. It gives my family and I peace of mind knowing that she still has certain freedoms, but has those freedoms with a 24 hour staff that is always there to take care of any situation that may arise. The only negative thing that I have to say, is that this is not a smoke free facility, while no smoking takes place inside, they still allow residents and employees to smoke outside. Overall this has been a very positive experience for my family and I and we would absolutely refer someone to use Boger City Rest home. They have a very friendly and informative staff that always has a smile on their face. I am grateful for them and the level of service they provide for my grandmother. "

"The Stewart Health center under The Cypress community was where my husband is staying. It was very clean and very cheerful, and the employees were very positive and considerate. My husband’s room is spacious, adequate, comfortable, and as nice as any I’ve ever seen. The food is excellent. They have lectures, games, entertainment on hand, and exercise programs. "

"I visited Pineville Rehab on several occasions while a client of mine was receiving short term rehab assistance there. The facility is very neat and clean, with an open and bright feeling to it. The rooms are a good size and the open spaces (dining and common areas) are inviting, clean, and updated nicely. Staff at this facility were very friendly, welcoming, and ;informative. My client was quite confused about the whole short term stay process / process surrounding returning to home. The rehab staff, nursing staff, and social worker all really seemed to go out of their way to continuously keep her informed about what was going on, how she was progressing, and what would need to happen in order for her to return home. I also received prompt return phone calls when I was following up with them regarding her return home and felt like they really respected the support network (myself and her daughter) that my client had in the community, who would be assisting her when she returned home. My client commented that the food was very good at this facility and she enjoyed the social time she spent with other clients/residents while she was in the dining hall. There were also many different activities available to help make her stay more enjoyable. As a last note, I would like to comment that I was very impressed with the physician who visited the facility. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the geriatric community he was serving, had a wonderful bedside manner, and just overall did a great job. I would recommend this facility without hesitation and my client said she would as well. "
