I liked Carolina Care Health and Rehabilitation. It was clean. It seemed like it was well run and everybody was friendly and nice. It's just hard getting in there. The room we saw was bright. It had plenty of space for your personal belongings in it. Both people had a TV in the room and there was like a wall in between so they wouldn't be looking at each other all the time. I liked that, too. The upkeep was good. I just wish they would call me back and answer the emails as they promised they said they would.

We visited Carolina Care Health, and it was good. It's just the location, and the price was a little bit higher than the one we chose. We saw all the amenities that they had. The room looked good. They had it already furnished. They had a stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, and a washer and dryer. The person that toured me was good. The information she gave us and everything was good.

This is the most in compassionate people I have ever dealt with. My mother was only in the location less than 5 months. The staff treated her with no respect all and removed all her dignity bu not even attempting to take her to use the bathroom but put her in diapers. I could never reach the social worker and relied on an outside source to communicate with me as to my moms condition. Do not trust this facility with your loved ones upon arrival at the hospital she had a huge sore on her bottom. They neglect and abuse their patients. They also do not perform the therapy ordered Stay away

f I could give a negative ⭐ I would. Don't take your dogs here. My grandmother is on her last 24 hours per Hospice. While I understand Covid is a problem, other facilities are allowing family to be with their members while transitioning from this world to the next. They have been nothing more than rude and crude the entire process. Worst bedside manner I've ever seen. If you're looking for compassionate care, this is not the facility for you. If you're looking for someone to do their job, my grandmothers mouth is never cleaned when I go in. Prior to Covid, I've been in and her be lying in the floor for who knows how long out of her bed. Excuse has been, well we just looked in. When asked to change her or do something, they growl. What happened to compassion? The staff here are certainly in the wrong line of work. DO NOT take your family here.

My gma had just come from rehab when she stayed here. Luckily she only had to stay for a few mos. $8k for a very old, disgusting room is ridiculous. The difference between the old wing and new is like night and day. They basically swept, mopped and maybe cleaned the bathroom before she moved there. The wallpaper was ripped in a few spots, the mattress is nasty and so is the bathroom. The room smelled horrible before she even moved in. The week we were trying to move her, they wouldn't give us the paperwork we needed to move her to the new place. Every day, multiple times a day we called and went to get it but they had an excuse for not giving it to us every time so they could get another $2k out of her I guess. My gma paid put of pocket. The day we finally moved her they didn't want to give us her meds after she had already paid for them. Also, that day I walked in and almost puked. I looked in the bathroom and there was a poopy diaper in the tub!! Just laying there and my gma said it was there all weekend. They were adamant about us getting a dirty clothes hamper with a lid because of the smell. Also the bathroom was just nasty. A few times the toilet broke and they acted like it was a burden to fix it even tho the floor was flooded. Its been 5 mos and we are still trying to get them to fill out paperwork for the long term insurance so my gma can get reimbursed. I would never recommend this place to anyone ever.

Do not leave your loved ones alone in this place. Elderly people laying in the halls where they fell and no one was around. They slammed my friends mother on the toilet after a hip replacement. Leaving bruises on her legs . They wouldn't even tell me where vending or coffee machines where they just said NO! We don't have coffee. I don't know if they are short staffed or just mean! Please do not leave your loved ones alone in this place!!! It needs to be shut down if they cannot care for people.

The Carolina Care facility has the same dreary ambiance of every such place I've ever been inside. But it does seem to care about the particulars of its residents. There are activities, plenty of outdoor sitting area. On my visit there was even a playground for residents to be outside with their younger family members. The assisted living apartments are across the street from he actual nursing home facility and look a little cheerier. I think this provides a great set up for older couples in the situation where one can no longer care for the other, yet they don't want to be separated. This was the case with my grandparents' older friends. I do think some of the staff have been at it a little too long in general or were just tired the day we visited. One lady was very good with her patient, but very rude to us and it's part of your job to deal with visitors to the facility, since those visitors are a huge part of the life and morale of the patients.

From the beginning of our visit it was obvious the staff was very pleasant and that they knew the daily routine and had a great deal of experience with residents who had a variety of different needs. The rooms themselves were in excellent condition and superior to the other assisted living facilities in our area. The cafeteria especially was impressive, as that was a weak point of several other facilities we had toured. The entire building was in excellent condition, very clean and just gave off the impression of being very well-maintained. In the end it was obvious to us that Carolina Care was definitely the best choice not just because it was the best in our area but because it was a top-notch facility by any standard. This made it an easy decision to choose Carolina Care, and I would certainly recommend it to others who are considering the many options for relatives who have assisted living needs.
