"Whispering Pines Gracious Retirement Living was nice. Everything is included in one price. The food's very nice. The staff was also very nice. They gave me a proper tour and I enjoyed it. They had one bedroom, two bedrooms, and studios. They had quite a number of activities and of course, they all had gyms. They take some trips if you want to go to close facilities like grocery stores."

"I was at Glenaire for rehab for two weeks. I was greeted when I came in there and the people were very cordial. I stayed in a private room and I had my meals on site. It was a cafeteria type, but it was served to us at the table. The beauty of the place was that I had all other people to talk to and it was the same people. So, I developed a friendship with them, and then medicine was given to me at the appropriate times by the staff. Everything was very clean. No smells and it was just a very pleasant two weeks that I spent there. I had physical therapists who came in and occupational therapists that provided services and I got back on my feet. I was able to safely go home. They also provide medical assistance. They would come in and do your blood pressure and that type of thing. There was somebody looking after you. The cafeteria staff was very pleasant and would get your selections for the next meal and serve it to you. The food was very good. There was an outside courtyard that you could go to, but because you were unstable in your walking and so forth, they made sure that you stayed under supervision. There were just a few activities. Medicaid paid for my stay there, but the value was good."

"My parents have moved into Preston Pointe in Morrisville. It's been about 2 weeks now. They're in independent living. It has a nice appearance. I like the apartments, and they were able to get a patio there on the first floor. Preston doesn't have that many of them actually. It was just a nice community like the people. They have nice activities, and I think it's a convenient location. I think the people there are very friendly and nice. From what my parents said, the food is very good too."

"I toured Searstone, and I have a friend who moved in. I realized it's an expensive place. You must be in the middle range of revenue to do something like this. You have to have quality for general living before they let you in. They do not allow you to come in if you need level-one health care. You have to be reasonably healthy. They have three restaurants in there now, and they're remodeling the old place, so there will be two more restaurants, for a total of five restaurants inside the facility, so you'll get a variety of foods and everything. The formal restaurant is open Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and the general restaurants are usually open in the morning, noon, and night. They gave us a complimentary meal. All meals were covered, and the rooms were cleaned every two weeks. There were also all kinds of exercise centers scattered all over the place. They have internal buses and transportation that take them to the doctors or over to go shopping. Some things were scheduled and some were more flexible than they could accommodate. I met a couple of fully knowledgeable desk people. They answered almost every question by being as accommodating as they could be and, to some degree, anticipated what you might want to discuss."

"Overture Crabtree 55+ Apartment Homes was good. I enjoyed it. They took me through the whole building and showed me the different activities that they have for the tenants. And I'm looking forward to moving in. They have a game room, they have a pool, they have a place where you can sit and read, and they have a workout center. The apartments have wooden floors and brand-new cabinetry. They were nice. They have stainless steel appliances and a walk-in closet. Everything is included, including all the appliances like the microwave, the refrigerator, and the dishwasher. The tour was very good. The leasing officer showed me everything. She showed me the different rec rooms that they have. The person who took me around was very friendly. She was very clear and very articulate. She explained everything, every detail. She made me feel very welcome. They were having a Halloween party at the time, and they invited me. The food was very nice. The people in attendance were very nice. I loved it. "

"My sister-in-law's mother is at The Oaks at Whitaker Glen, and it is a very nice facility. It is very clean, operates well, and the staff is nice and helpful. They adhered very well to the COVID protocols, like not allowing anyone in unless they were caregivers. They have lectures, bus trips, movies, and an exercise facility. The food is excellent, too. She's very happy there."
