"My mother has been at Spring Arbor since August, and so far, it has been really nice. They have very good food. I don't have any complaints. They have a lot of activities for the people there. They give her more hands-on care and they make sure she gets her meals. It is clean and doesn't stink. It is something within her price range. I would recommend this place. "

I honestly believe they could do more to make my mom's stay better. Their emergency procedures are great and they have certified medical staff! They have wonderful staff and very experienced staff - It's just that I always feel like they just feel like they are there to get a job don and don't take a personal interest in my mom. "My brother is living at Abbotswood at Stonehenge in Raleigh. He is very content and he feels safe there. They are friendly and he feels they are very attentive. They are very cautious about things, they're not doing any programs or anything right now, so it's hard to evaluate. For long term I'd like to see more things going on, but right now I have no complaints or disappointments. They're all independent rooms but you hire supplemental assistants, so you're going to get as much assistance as you want. It's not a one-price or inclusive thing in assisted living, but it has all the things you need for an assisted living, including five medical professionals. I guess you could say he is in assisted living since he couldn't be there without the assistance, so it's probably closer to that, but they comingle, the people getting assisted and those who are not. It's not a separate building or something. He talks about the food in there and he thinks it's good. He's very happy with the staff because they're friendly and attentive. I think the rooms are definitely adequate. It's fairly spacious. For activities, they have a few things going on, but not a lot. Most of the people are not coming out of their rooms, but they offer a few things. With the value it's hard for me to say because I don't have anything to compare it to, but I'm not unhappy I think. I feel like I've seen some places that are less expensive, but I don't think they're probably this good. I have not eaten the food but my brother's really happy with it, and the one sample I had was very good. They're not really doing any activities right now because they focus more on safety. They have people coming in and checking on them and talking to them, but in terms of group activities, there's none right now, and there hasn't been for months."

"Cadence Garner was a good place. The staff was very helpful. They offer everything, the same thing as the other place does. They have a game room, a dining room, a meeting room, and a theater. I also think it's near restaurants, too."

"We toured Sunrise at North Hills. It's very, very nice. It has a lot of extras that a lot of places don't have. The staff were very nice and very helpful. The guy Grant was very helpful. He took us around and showed us exactly what they have. The rooms were very nice. They're spacious and larger than we think they would be. They separate the bedrooms from the seating areas, so I like that a lot. The activities seemed to be wonderful. We watched an exercise class for some of the residents when we got there. They have outings. They can take people to doctor's appointments on certain days. They have bingo. They have all kinds of things. There are great activities scheduled every day. They're like the ultimate place to feel comfortable in an assisted living situation. It's very clean. The staff is all friendly. Grant introduced us to some of the nurses and activities people there, so we got to see quite a few people there. It was very comfortable and very cozy."

"We toured The Manor at Saratoga. We loved that it's only six residents, and it's in a private home setting. It didn't look like a nursing home. They talked about how they honor everyone's faith. The rooms were clean. There was no smell of urine or anything like that. The man we met truly cared, and you could just feel it. We didn't knock them out of the box yet, but the price is a little high for us. The staff member who accommodated us, Saidu, definitely made it for us."
