Cadence North Raleigh is very caring and attentive to its residents. It's a very warm environment. They have lots of wonderful activities and really good food. They celebrate all the holidays. Like in the fall, they have a festival, trunk-or-treating, residents' families that come in for barbecues out on the deck in the back with grills and everything, and a Thanksgiving dinner. They also do all sorts of flower arranging, yoga type or sit-and-be-fit type of exercises for older people, and walking club. Mom's apartment is very spacious. Her bathroom is very large and accommodating. There are two big windows that she can look out into a very wooded back that has a trail that you can walk on, and two big closets. They have beautiful screen porches and rocking chairs on every wing so you can always be outside with lots of flowers and gardens. They have a bus for transportation, too.

The people at Cadence North Raleigh were helpful. The environment was positive. I liked the layout. There's lots of light and lots of windows. The dining area was OK.

Cadence North Raleigh was very, very clean. It had a very nice decor and they have someone who loves to decorate. I found the rooms to be a little small, but they were livable. I think a twin bed would be better than a double bed in their rooms, and it was well laid out. They have a safe electronic medication administration system. The Activities Director and the residents were hanging out in the hallways and on the front porch, and everybody seemed to be fairly happy. The dining room was very nice.

Cadence North Raleigh has assisted living and memory care. Mom moved into memory care. A lot of it is very similar to assisted living. The main difference with memory care is they keep the door locked because residents will go out. The staff is warm and caring. They have scheduled activities every day to keep everybody moving and motivated; that is what I loved most. The place is extremely clean and updated. I haven't tried the food, but I've seen them serve the food to others. It's nice. It's all on one floor, so nobody has to go upstairs or downstairs. They have somebody that goes in, like an activities director. He'll do all different types of history games and puzzles. He also has them watch places in Europe. It's like going to a couple cities in Europe for the day. Then they have a 15 or 20 minute workout. I thought it was less expensive than some other places. I thought they were the best from what I have seen. It didn't feel like a nursing home type situation whatsoever.

My father is in the memory care unit at Cadence North Raleigh. It was great and very helpful. I haven't tried the food. They had a couple of people who tested positive for Covid, and they put them in quarantine. They locked down the facility to visitors, so I wasn't allowed to go inside the facility. They were able to do admissions and discharges; but as far as visitation, I wasn't able to do that inside. Outside, I've been able to visit him a couple of times, so they brought him out of the facility. They made the admission so easy, smooth, and relatively quick. That was very impressive and very empathetic with the situation. I can't say enough good things about their staff. They're excellent, especially for memory care folks. They actually have a schedule, so that they have a consistent routine day after day. They take them out for activities and stuff. Of course, when they're on lockdown, they limit the activities until they lift it. They go into their rooms every day to do activities with them and talk to them. I asked him about the food, and he thought the food was very good. I worked with the director of customer relations the most in getting him into the facility.

My parents are going to be in Cadence North Raleigh. We've chosen it because it has a full apartment, and they're not on lockdown. They've had no cases of COVID, so they're still freely moving around inside the facility. We were able to see the room, the apartment, the outside of the grounds, and talk to people. The tour experience was fantastic; we were very impressed. The apartments come furnished or unfurnished, and with a kitchenette.

I like Carillon a lot. It was very nice. The room was a 2-bedroom with just enough space. The staff was great. Everybody was great. I don't know about amenities or activities, but I know they have a craft room. It was all good. The place was very clean. The layout was great. The dining area looked very nice.

Carillon Assisted Living is very nice, clean, organized, and well laid out. The people are nice and they seem to really care about their residents. They have activities like cards and socialization. The residents seem very happy and are well taken care of. I've seen other places around and I could say this is the best.

They were nice at Carillon Raleigh. They have Bingo and other activities. The food is sufficient and residents have two choices, an entrée and a meal. You can also get an alternate, like sandwich. The staff is pretty good. They all seemed generally interested. I guess they'd have to be to do that work. They have an outside area for sitting as well as a little walking area.

At Carillon, the staff are very friendly and very caring. Most of the rooms on the memory care side are double occupancy, so they have roommates, which is fine. The food is OK. They have a lot of devotional activities, singing, touch sensory like folding and putting rings together and building blocks, but it could've been better. A lot of times, they are all sitting together in one room, talking, tossing a ball, or asking questions. They are very clean. I never have to worry about my dad as far as him being clean or having a skin breakdown or smelling. That part was awesome. Security is great. They have rails built into the walls for those who have walkers. I would recommend them.
