"My parents have moved into Bartlett Reserve. I chose them because of the availability. Their meal option is open from 7 to 7, as there are no specific dining hours. It's probably because they're a much smaller facility, and they can accommodate that, so that's kind of a plus. Their apartment is simply two bedrooms and a living area with a kitchenette. Everybody seems to be happy with the food. We were very pleased with the cleanliness and the quick response should my parents need anything in the apartment."

"My wife moved into Capital Oaks. My first impression was that it was clean, the people were very friendly, and it was well taken care of. It was a very positive first impression. They have a movie and trivia night, they do bingo, they have a happy hour, they have music, and they have quite a bit to offer. It's a nice dining area with windows all around, so it's very bright. The food has been very good, and she's been very happy with it."

"I visited The Cambridge at Brier Creek. They are excellent. It was very high class and very nice. They're welcoming. The young lady who showed us around was just excellent and gave us all the time we needed. The building is a couple of years old, so basically it's new. The apartments have very nice touches to them, like wood floors and up-to-date appliances. It's nice, fresh, and light. They have amenities. They have an exercise person onsite every day, and they have health care. It's just very nice. They have movies and all kinds of things to do."

"My aunt lived here for almost fifteen years. She started in a assisted-living apartment and enjoyed her independence and freedom to move around and personalize her apartment. She could attend art classes, her own meals, and socialize with other apartment dwellers. After about nine years, and a series of blackouts (quickly tended to by the superb staff), she moved to the nursing home unit. She still had an individual private room, but much more monitored care. This was a superb facility, that allows seniors to adapt into a new environment. My parents and I really struggled with the decision and finding a home for her, but we ultimately decided on Abbottswood, because it was a great combination of retirement and nursing facilities. They have an onsite pharmacy, doctors of all specialities and even buses offsite to Walmart and Rite-Aid. All around, Abbottswood is a great facility that I would definitely recommend! "

"Whispering Pines was new, fresh, it looked good, and had an excellent plan to it. It also had great activities, and the food was good. The room was not spacious, but the staff was superb. "

"My Dad has lived at Durham Regent for years. He loves his room and has made friends. He enjoys the food and the ability to be able to eat with friends. The staff has been able to keep the residents safe through the COVID outbreak with guidelines in place. He is still able to walk outside of the community, sit in the rocking chairs and even listen to musical performances. It has been very helpful during this quarantine to know that he is around others and is safe and happy. I am happy with Durham Regent."

"I toured Verena at Bedford Falls, and it was a very nice place. I spoke to Jayme who was wonderful. He was very charming and helpful. He could not have done a better job. He was very on time for the appointment. I didn't feel rushed. He answered all my questions. He answered questions before I even had a chance to ask the questions that I had. I was very, very pleased with him and with the facility. I like the fact that it was a newer community, and it seemed like a vibrant community. It was clean. I arrived there while people were still finishing up their lunch. There seemed to be a very nice congenial atmosphere. The staff that would come by, were smiling and greeting everyone. The people that were enjoying lunch in the lovely dining room seemed very happy and engaged with one another. It was decorated very nicely. The rooms were very nice. I looked at the 1-bedroom apartment. I felt that for me, that was a little bit too small because I have a lot of friends that would be visiting and I don't want them to go to a hotel. I'm more interested in the 2-bedroom apartment. The amenities seemed very nice. The common spaces were very attractive. I thought the cleaning staff was very friendly and lovely. I saw the exercise room and I met the hairdresser. I also met the craft woman on the social committee. The people that I met on the elevator and the corridors were smiling and happy, and they knew that I was looking and they were encouraging me to move in. "

"Nice safe location for your loved ones. Staff is super and they go the extra mile to make the residents feel appreciated and respected. Any issues within the apartments are quickly addressed and fixed. Two Bedroom unit is huge and the floor-plan is very nice."

"I visited the Lodge at Wake Forest, and I enjoyed it. It was very nice. The people were very friendly. I liked all the amenities they have. We stayed there for lunch, talked to a resident who had been there for a long time, and she was very happy. The food is good, we saw the menu, and you can select off the menu every day. They serve snacks, sandwiches and cookies all day long, and you can always go there to take something. The meal times are set, so you can eat if you missed the meals. However, the rooms were a little too small for my furniture, and they don't have a kitchenette, and that's what I needed. It's in a good location. The staff member was very helpful, she showed me the rooms, and the staff member in the dining room was very pleasant."

"What I like about Searstone iss the overall layout of the building and the amenities that they have like eating and exercising. They charge you a huge upfront fee that you have to give them to get into the place and they give it back to you after you die or somebody else in their family. It's high cost more than I think. You have to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to get in that place. I only met a few people, and they are all very good at what they do. They know their business. They know what's going on. They know how to deal with seniors coming in there. From what I see, I give them a top-level rating. They're adding 150 more rooms to their place. I would give them a five based on construction and all the other stuff going on. They have a pool, a fitness center, fishing, other activities, and pool tables. They had a lot of different things."

"The Templeton of Cary is a very good, high-end residential place for independent living all the way to memory care. It's like five or six stories, so it's a very progressive community. I think a lot of folks who are retired are going in at a younger age because of the amenities of this community. They had a lot of amenities and a lot of activities. The facility is very modern and upscale. It's very close to the hospital, so as far as medical facilities are concerned, it's very close by in case there's an emergency or something. It's a brand-new property, so everything is modern, with granite countertops, modern appliances, and security systems. They had a beautiful dining hall facility, gardens, fitness centers, and pools. The director is very experienced, genial, and accommodating. They do follow up every six months to see if there's anything else they can help you with."
