"My mom has moved into The Reserve at Mills Farm. It's a great place, very updated, and very clean. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. There are lots of activities and great food. For activities, they have a shuffleboard, cornhole, golf putting hole, pool, games, art classes, and wine tasting."

"Jordan Oaks offered meals if you didn't want to eat right at the time they served them. I like that you could call and get something a little bit later, like if you slept late and you just didn't want to get up during breakfast time. The dining area was very open, had lots of windows, and had different sections to meet with friends and family. They also had a separate dining room if you want to have a birthday party. The rooms were very nice, and you could have a separate little dining area if you wanted."

"Woodland Terrace was noted for their dementia care, so we opted for the facility. The staff was accommodating. They had physical therapy, memory care activites and social activities. I would strongly suggest this facility to others. "

"My sister was previously in Stoneridge Gracious Retirement Living. It seemed to be an excellent facility with a beautiful dining room, and lots of room for different activities. They played games, my sister had a great time in the evenings, the food was good, and the management was good. She had a single room to herself and didn't have any major complaints. She was able to do her laundry with the washing machines, everything was conveniently located for her throughout the facility. I found the staff to be perfectly professional at all times at any time I asked them a question. It was a lovely facility, but there were some questions about the food."

"What we like most about Brier Pointe Retirement Community is that it doesn't use points in the restaurant. They just do it, no points involved, so that was nice. They had a pharmacy that was located there, where people could go in and get their drugs or whatever else they needed. There was a lounge that had soft-serve ice cream. They had the restaurant, which we liked as well. It had bonuses, buffets, and other things involved, other than just the food. My interaction with the staff was good. It's very clean. It's only three years old. It's an apartment building. It's not as nice as the other place that had ponds and other things. This just had a fire pit. It is surrounded by other homes and things like that, but they do travel and put people on shuttles and take them to places."

"The lady who gave me a tour of Independence Village Of Olde Raleigh was very knowledgeable about the property. It was clean. It seemed like they were keeping the people in a lot of activities, and I thought that was great. The rooms were good sized. They were not too big, but they had a couple of options. I feel like it was enough for what's needed. They also showed me a couple of courtyards. They had a hair salon, and they had a physical therapy room or workout room. They showed me the game room and the church or multimedia room for movies."

"I will be moving into Bartlett Reserve. It was nice and clean. Everybody was friendly, so I had a good feeling about the place. There wasn't anything about it that I didn't like. I liked the layout. I liked the people. They fed us. I didn't eat at the time, but my son said the food was good. It was more an apartment-style living. I'm fully satisfied with it. I saw a gym, a salon, and a pool. They have several different activity rooms, conference rooms, and a room for you to have friends over for tea or parties, just anything you want."

"We toured The Cambridge at Brier Creek. The people were lovely. We went there on a lunch invitation that we received in the mail. I liked the whole facility. Also, something that I liked is they have a parking deck. You get out of your car in a parking deck, then go into the building and take an elevator up and down to your unit. The upkeep was very nice. The food was good, and they talked to us about how they changed and updated the menu. They had certain things on the menu all the time, and the dining area is beautiful."

"I recently had the opportunity to visit Atria Southpoint Walk with my mom, and I was thoroughly impressed. The cleanliness of the facility is remarkable; everything is meticulously maintained, creating a welcoming and comfortable environment. During my visit, it was heartening to see the residents so happy and engaged. They seemed to genuinely enjoy their time there, which speaks volumes about the community atmosphere. Stacy and the staff were incredibly helpful with all my inquiries, taking the time to answer questions and provide detailed information about the services available. Their dedication to resident care is evident and greatly enhances the overall experience. The dining room and common areas are inviting and well-appointed, providing great spaces for socializing and relaxation. The apartments themselves are a good size and exceptionally clean, offering a pleasant and functional living space. Overall, Atria Southpoint Walk stands out as a fantastic senior living option, with a focus on cleanliness, resident happiness, and exceptional staff support."

"My aunt lived here for almost fifteen years. She started in a assisted-living apartment and enjoyed her independence and freedom to move around and personalize her apartment. She could attend art classes, her own meals, and socialize with other apartment dwellers. After about nine years, and a series of blackouts (quickly tended to by the superb staff), she moved to the nursing home unit. She still had an individual private room, but much more monitored care. This was a superb facility, that allows seniors to adapt into a new environment. My parents and I really struggled with the decision and finding a home for her, but we ultimately decided on Abbottswood, because it was a great combination of retirement and nursing facilities. They have an onsite pharmacy, doctors of all specialities and even buses offsite to Walmart and Rite-Aid. All around, Abbottswood is a great facility that I would definitely recommend! "

"I toured Whispering Pines Gracious Retirement Living. All I need is a one-bedroom apartment, and I like the space size they have. I liked their exercise areas that I saw there, and the food situation looked very good. The people that I've talked to are just very friendly, it looked like a nice place, and it's close by. So, I like that place. I didn't meet that many of the staff. I've only talked to two of them, but they were very friendly and nice. The man who showed me around was very, very friendly. From the outside, it wasn't all that impressive. I just thought it was one place there. But once you go inside and look around, it's much bigger than I thought. And from the inside, it looked beautiful."

"My husband and I visited the Holiday Durham Regent. We liked it and the people there seemed very nice. The staff was just very helpful and knew what they were doing. They spent a lot of time answering questions and giving us information. The facility was very nice and clean. We liked the cottage we saw and most likely, we're going to choose that for ourselves."

"I visited and the community was presentable. The rooms were nice. I liked the foyer/entrance. The dining room was spacious and right off of the foyer. I liked the layout of the reading room, too. The upstairs was an open layout. You could see the library, the workout room, the movie room, and the different little rooms. The staff was friendly. She gave me a lot of information. They showed me an activity room and the schedule of activities posted on the walls of the elevator. They also said they have outings."

"Atria Oakridge is comforting because it is in my neighborhood. I like the presentation the young lady gave me there. I like their rooms, and I like the sunroom. I just felt very comfortable living there. I like the two-meal-a-day program. Also a lot of things that they do are great. I met some people there that really seemed to enjoy it very much. Their activities are very informal. They are nice activities and inexpensive. I like the atmosphere. It isn't stuffy. It is about 10 years old, so it isn't brand new but it isn't very old either. The most important thing is that it is right in my neighborhood. It is also well-maintained and clean."

" What a great place to live. During the unique circumstances of the times, the management of Verena has been diligent and professional in following CDC guidelines for safety and health. As an active, senior citizen, living with peace of mind is of paramount importance to me. The compassionate restrictions put in place during the virus have provided that peace of mind. Also, the staff has kept the residents engaged with live music, happy hours, sweet treats, daily puzzles, and theme weeks. All of this activity followed health and safety guidelines. Now, before the virus, what fun we had with outside activities. Wine tasting, art museums, luncheons, symphony attendance, and a host of other activities helped promote community and resident engagement. And, we traveled in the Verena van; no worry about weather or traffic. So, to put it in a nutshell, for me and my wife "It was the perfect fit at the right time." Tom and Betty Taylor"

"After a lengthy search for a new supported living residence for our family member, finding The Gardens at Wakefield through a trusted referral was like winning the jackpot ! From the time we toured to the transition of living at the Gardens at Wakefield, we have had a wonderful experience. This community is intentional about ensuring residents are cared for, known, and engaged in community activities. Their ambassador program for new residents is a wonderful asset while transitioning into this community. We are incredibly grateful for the support and attention our family member has gotten. Special kudos to Tina and Heather D. for all the individual attention they have provided. The leadership team and staff are truly exceptional! The apartments are newly renovated and are stunning! They offer large rooms and a full kitchen. All new appliances! There are numerous options of activities offered on a daily basis as well as social activities like music concerts and dances. So much to do at the Gardens and it is apparent that the residents are engaged and enjoy all there is to offer. I highly recommend the Gardens at Wakefield- a true gem in the Wake County area!"
