I went to Bartlett Reserve. I hadn't made an appointment; I had just called ahead, and they were expecting me, but they didn't seem to have a problem showing me around or anywhere I wanted to go. I thought the place was nice; the people, not just the staff, but the residents, were nice. It was clean and had a friendly environment. The parking available was okay, but the road to get there, they need to make sure they get it paved. When you get on a road that has several potholes before you get there. It's like, why haven't they seen fit to ask the community where they are, "why don't they get that fixed?" Because they're near a shopping center, you could walk to the shopping center. You could walk to things that you want to go to. It wasn't that far to go to Walgreens, and it's in an area where there are buses. I thought it was walkable, except when you're walking, you'd better be able to see very well once you get past their driveway and the gates, because of potholes. There is a little restaurant there that serves breakfast and lunch if you don't want to eat at the Bartlett, although they furnish a lot of food there all day long. They were very attentive to the residents, willing to help them, and guided them in the cafeteria. They were helping these people to the dining area and helping them get their food. Everything looked very clean. The exterior is brick, and the grounds were very well kept. And there were sections, if that's available, that these apartments had that you could actually have sort of like a secluded patio. They have areas for people to congregate and a group leader leading them. When we were there, they were doing meditation. There are places to play cards and put puzzles together. There are a lot of things that you can do inside; you don't necessarily have to go out. If you make your own small group and do things together, that would be easy to do. They have a pool, but it's called a lap pool, and it's very small. You couldn't get more than four or five people in there.

If we have to move my parents out of the other place, we would take them to Bartlett Reserve. The people there care and have checked in, asking how everything is going, if I'm still looking for a place, or still working out with the place they are currently at. They've been very pleasant. They said they will keep in touch. They had three meals a day. Their units are a little smaller, but they have a kitchenette. They have a full bathroom in the unit. They do movie nights inside the facility and sometimes off-site activities. They have a swimming pool and a courtyard. It's walkable inside. The campus itself looked really good. The residents said it is a great place and they really enjoy it.

My parents have moved into Bartlett Reserve. I chose them because of the availability. Their meal option is open from 7 to 7, as there are no specific dining hours. It's probably because they're a much smaller facility, and they can accommodate that, so that's kind of a plus. Their apartment is simply two bedrooms and a living area with a kitchenette. Everybody seems to be happy with the food. We were very pleased with the cleanliness and the quick response should my parents need anything in the apartment.

I will be moving into Bartlett Reserve. It was nice and clean. Everybody was friendly, so I had a good feeling about the place. There wasn't anything about it that I didn't like. I liked the layout. I liked the people. They fed us. I didn't eat at the time, but my son said the food was good. It was more an apartment-style living. I'm fully satisfied with it. I saw a gym, a salon, and a pool. They have several different activity rooms, conference rooms, and a room for you to have friends over for tea or parties, just anything you want.
