Mom is at The Cypress Club of Raleigh. It's beautiful and well-kept. The staff is good. Like most places, they are having hiring problems. Weekend staff is not up to full. It could be better. Some of them are fantastic and some of them need more training, but they have very good activities directors up there, a couple of them. They work out every day, they go bowling, they play cards, and they do mental things. They do stuff like that all day long and that's fantastic. They keep them busy. The meals are almost like hospital food. It's low salt, but it's the things that you need that way.

I went to The Cypress of Raleigh. It's a secluded area. It's rather large. It's got around 50 acres of apartments and houses. It's secure. It's got a security gate. You have to say who you're coming to visit. It's very pretty in terms of the landscaping, and the interiors. You buy an apartment, a house, a villa, or a cottage. And that's different from the other facilities that we visited. I kind of like that idea because you buy the facility that you're going to live in from the previous owner. The tour was through all the facilities that you would be interested in, the swimming pool, exercise room, the dining room., the bistro, and the apartments. We went into two different apartments. One was a very large three-bedroom, and one was smaller than that, but it was more than adequate. So that was nice. We're very satisfied.

The Cypress of Raleigh was great. The marketing director was just very, very nice. The place was beautiful, they offer lots of activities, and the food is first-class like fine dining. I like everything about the facility. And of course it cost more.

I was extremely nervous about going to visit Cypress of Raleigh because of course I did not want to face that my grandmother was moving in to an assisted living facility. All of my reservations were quickly wiped away as soon as I walked in the doors. The foyer was extremely inviting. I had a nice cozy warm feeling and staff immediately greeted us with a smile. There were picturesque views of a water pond, lush green grass, and just overall beautiful landscaping on the grounds. It was breathtaking. The dining room was elegant and everyone seemed genuinely happy at that point in time. And yes there was more than one dining area when formal and one more casusal. There was a beautiful swimming pool and the amenities were unsurpassed. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who truly desires a home away from home for themselves or a loved one. The Cypress was by far one of the best facilities in the Triangle.

If you are looking for an exclusive, quality facility to spend your latter years of life, this is the place. We recently toured this facility looking for placement for my wife's elderly parents and I was impressed to say the least. Just entering the grounds makes you feel like you are entering a resort to spend a week's vacation. Beautifully maintained lawns, flowers, gardens and water attractions abound. We viewed the four different dining areas (home delivery optional), the fitness center, the pool, the library and much more. We also spoke with many of the residents who say they love it and wished they had moved in years ago. Finally, the location is great and transportation is provided to local grocers, a movie theatre and many different specialty shops close by. All in all, if you can afford it, this is the place to be.

My wife and I moved to The Cypress of Raleigh into our newly built condo last December. The food is incredibly good (the chef is from a four star restaurant), and our neighbors are great. The clubhouse and grounds are elegant and beautifully maintained. The Cypress has exceeded our expectations in every way. There have been a few "shake down" issues with the new buildings; however, the developers have addressed all issues promptly. While we have not experienced the need for the health care facility; we hear good reports from those who have utilized the service.
