"My father has been in Parkview Health & Rehabilitation Center for a little over a month now. The best thing about them is the care that he has been getting. He's very happy there compared to where he was before. Everybody I came in contact with and dealt with has been great. I haven't tried their food. My father is very picky, but he likes the food. He is not going to like everything every day, but he has different options. When we go there, the food smells good. The rooms are on the small side. The first one my father had was fine, but he got moved to the veteran's area, and those rooms are a little smaller. It's fine for him, but when you have visitors, it can be a little tight. The only thing they can improve on is the cleaning. In the VA area, from time to time, you get an odor, but that's only in that area. The other area where he was before, I never smelt anything of it. It's not terrible, it's just from time to time, you can smell that somebody had to be cleaned or whatever. "

"We have picked Carol Woods for our parents, but they haven't moved in yet. It is up on the mountains. There are lots of good walking trails and paved walking paths through the woods. They have a waterfall, which is really neat and very relaxing. Everyone is super nice. They let you sample the menu, and they let you meet the chef and the dining staff. The food is really good. Also you can either choose between a cottage or an apartment. My parents like the cottage option. They have all kinds of exercise programs. They also have a pool, a weight room, and a couple of different workout rooms where they do aerobic classes that are geared toward seniors. They have really neat activities, and they have programs every night as far like concerts and orchestras. It is really nice. The grounds are immaculate, too."

"MY mother is at "Signature" for rehabilitation from surgery. I was impressed from day one. The staff answered all of my questions and addressed my concerns. Believe me, I had lots of them. They made my family and I feel that mom was at "home" while being away from home. I entrust them to provide the love, support, and therapy that she needs in order to heal and get back to the way things used to be. I especially would like to thank "Danielle", and "Bernice" for their service which made us feel that she is in the "right hands". In addition, everyone that we came in contact with was very helpful, polite, and professional. "Signature" is definitely recommended for anyone needing services for rehabilitation. Thanks for doing a great job! "

"I went to look at Treyburn Rehabilitation Center. Everyone just seemed to not know what was going on. I don't know if they were short-staffed or just stretched. The food was very bland and the chicken pieces still had some feathers in them. It was not good. It was not a very clean facility. When I walked in the door, there was a dirty diaper laying there in the hall, and there was an odor."

"We are happy with Brookshire Nursing Center. My mother-in-law is in a double room but it's great for what she needs to have done. The security is very good at this place. I like the way they take care of my mom-in-law and they are real friendly. They meet the needs that she has to have. For what they're doing, the value for the money is fine. I think they need to have more staff. The food and the dining area was fine. "

"My partner is still at Peak Resources Brookshire. It's one of the better facilities for skilled nursing in the area. I did a lot of research before I put him here. The people here at this facility are very, very attentive. As with any other facility that offers services, there are good nurses, and there are not-so-good nurses. Overall, Peak Resources Brookshire would be somewhere I would recommend to anyone who needed to have skilled nursing for someone for a limited time. My partner is here for rehab. They provide physical therapy, occupational therapy, and SLP therapy. Their food is pretty bad. Now and then, you get some salad, but most of the food is very starchy and fried. And it's like you don't get a choice like you would in a hospital. He has been here since January, and I've only seen two salads as a side dish, and he should have a salad every day. They provide all the furnishings and all his medications. Everything that he needs is provided here, except I do his laundry. I do not let them do his laundry. It's a private room; he has his private suite. He has his own private bathroom, a large closet, a hospital bed, a chest of drawers, a lamp table, two folding chairs, a lounge chair with an ottoman, and a TV. It's nice enough. "

"Glenaire was putting together a new facility right now. I liked the fact that it seemed to be very well-maintained, well-run, and well-equipped to handle any issues for different levels of care. They would provide the meal plans, as well as maintenance of the apartments. They would also provide immediate medical care if necessary. The only staff I met during the tour was the interviewer. I was given some literature to understand how the place was running. She was informative. I liked the fact that this was a large organization. They had many other properties throughout the country. "

"Sorry to say this is the third rehab facility I've been in. 3 Achilles ruptures, 2 knee replacements. Rex Rehab is light years above the other two. Very clean facility, cleaning your room twice a day even if not needed. Stellar ot & pt, patient & determined to achieve the right goals for your needs.the whole team works together, even behind the seems to get, the best results. Even the food is a hit, not all of it, but most of it. I felt safe there & made some friends there, kind of sad, to leave my new family. Sincerely, Marianne P.S. the only concern I had was the 50 charge to transport from hospital to rehab. .03 miles for $ 50 , I felt to be expensive . They offer visits in the courtyard & an inside window to visit,with private room all depending on covid. My room was plenty of room, the bed was comfortable. I have a shower, restroom, 2 closets. Ice pitchers were filled automatically, in the morning & afternoon"

"Hillcrest Raleigh was great. My dad loved the food and the cheery atmosphere felt alot more like home. Friends came by frequently because it was such a comfortable place. The director was awesome and approachable. The nursing staff was caring and attentive. In fact they came within a minute if the nursing button was pushed. That is not the case at other facilities we have stayed in. I highly recommend them and hope they have a room available if we need rehab again! "

"I am staying in The Templeton of Cary's independent living, and I'm very happy here. Everyone, including the residents, is so kind, caring, and very friendly. It's just a happy place to be. If you get lonely or down and out, you just leave your apartment and go find something to do. There's always something to do here, which is a great thing. Having the main dining room and everybody meeting in there helps, too. You have good meals, camaraderie, and friendliness. It's just a great place and I made the right choice, there is no doubt about it. The staff is top-notch. They're all just as friendly as the residents are. I think it makes sense because if the residents are happy, that must be because of the people in charge. They all know you by name, and call you by your first name. They're all wonderful. They're all very caring, and ready to help no matter what, even with something trivial. I haven't found one person here who isn't like that, so that's a good thing. I think the food could use some work. I like my food hot and it's never hot. Sometimes warm, but never hot. I know that's hard with a big crowd but that's how I want it. Everything is always spanking clean including the public restrooms all around the area. They're always spotless no matter what time of day or night you go."

"Litchford Falls Healthcare was the cleanest when we looked all over Raleigh for our mother. It was also well-lit. We were pleased with the care. We didn't like that she suffered, but we couldn't do anything about that. All they could do was really be good to her; they bathed her to keep her clean and comfortable and gave her medications the doctor ordered. The nurses, especially the CNAs, were very helpful and kind to her. She loved them and they loved her, especially a young man who bathed her and took care of her. He would come and bring his little son to meet her. They had entertainment. In the last 3 months, they had like a high school prom with a live band. They brought people to do the ladies' makeup and find dresses for them. They brought young men in from the nearby college to dance with people. They would have Christmas and Thanksgiving dinner with families. The activity director was the best I've ever seen, since I used to work in nursing homes as a teacher. He was so great. He would come in his tux and bow or sometimes in a body costume for entertainment. It was just wonderful. It was hard for her to share a tiny room, and she (not because of that) became more and more disabled and ill. They called me when my mother was about to die. She could no longer get her breath; she was crying and everything. They called me to come immediately. The nurse who had taken care of her was praying really loud, and we all were crying because of my mother. If you have to be in Medicaid care, I think this is as good as you can get. They were excellent. They did the best they could for her. "

"My husband had to go to rehab after being in the hospital for just under a month. He was very deconditioned from recovering from his surgery and he had pre-existing mobility issues. From the beginning, I was greeted with kindness and attention from Liz, who was always a friendly face and there for a kind word to get us through this difficult time. Day one the team (included PT, SW, financial, ect.) met with us and came up with a plan for rehab and going home. The nurses were exceptional especially Kimla and Cheryl Lin. (Sorry if I spelled their names wrong) My husband adored them especially with his complex wound issues. The physical and occupational therapist were amazing and customized a regimen that met my husband where he was physically. I just want to give a special shot out to Megan and Robert with PT/OT. You guys rock! If you are looking for equipment (like a special bed, ask for Tiffany. She was on top of it once she knew he needed one. The DON ( knew me by name and was instrumental in fixing things when issues came up. A special thanks to his nurse aid who was whiling to go the extra mile. Thank you Priscilla! I also want the thank Efran (the facility director) he took this time to know my name and met with my husband personally to make sure he had everything he needed and he help us along with Kimla (his special nurse) get safely into our car on day of discharge. We are not anyone special but we were treated like VIP’s. "

"The care at Rex Rehab is great! My mother in law has been there approximately two years . They are kind and caring, always happy and helpful. Recently my father in law fell and broke his hip while visiting. They were very helpful in getting him help and now he is rehabing there too. We really have been pleased with the whole experience. We highly recommend Rex Rehab! "
