"I have been touring all of the facilities in the Raleigh area for my dear friend who just had her left hip replaced. I found everything I was looking for when I visited Sunnybrook Rehabilitation Center. The Administrator personally toured me through her facility and I was introduced to the Director of Nursing and Rehab Program Manager who were so helpful in answering my questions. I selected this facility for my friend and things just got better and better. She enjoyed her therapy, nursing services and even the nursing assistants were attentive to her every need...but the food was amazing! I found myself purchasing a meal and eating lunch with her several times a week. As a guest to the facility you can't beat the $3.00 meal that is delicious! While my friend was only there for a few weeks, she wished she could have stayed longer...thank you Sunnybrook Rehabilitation Center for your caring approach in every aspect of my friends care."

"Litchford Falls Healthcare was the cleanest when we looked all over Raleigh for our mother. It was also well-lit. We were pleased with the care. We didn't like that she suffered, but we couldn't do anything about that. All they could do was really be good to her; they bathed her to keep her clean and comfortable and gave her medications the doctor ordered. The nurses, especially the CNAs, were very helpful and kind to her. She loved them and they loved her, especially a young man who bathed her and took care of her. He would come and bring his little son to meet her. They had entertainment. In the last 3 months, they had like a high school prom with a live band. They brought people to do the ladies' makeup and find dresses for them. They brought young men in from the nearby college to dance with people. They would have Christmas and Thanksgiving dinner with families. The activity director was the best I've ever seen, since I used to work in nursing homes as a teacher. He was so great. He would come in his tux and bow or sometimes in a body costume for entertainment. It was just wonderful. It was hard for her to share a tiny room, and she (not because of that) became more and more disabled and ill. They called me when my mother was about to die. She could no longer get her breath; she was crying and everything. They called me to come immediately. The nurse who had taken care of her was praying really loud, and we all were crying because of my mother. If you have to be in Medicaid care, I think this is as good as you can get. They were excellent. They did the best they could for her. "

"I visited friends in Glenaire. It was great and it's a nice facility. The options available to the residents were numerous, and the staff was just really good. The food was fabulous. and there are options for the residents, too, so that was nice. They have entertainment there, and they also have church services and crafts."

"I couldn't be more pleased with the wonderful care that my dear friend has had during the 22 months he has been with this care team at Cary Health and Rehab. My weekly visits in his support have given me the opportunity to meet with the members of the care team. From the moment I walk in I am welcomed by name by Classie Anne and often by the Executive Director Doreen. As I head down the hallways, each person shares smiles and ask if they may help. As I approach my buddy's room, nursing, CNA's, housekeeping, dietary and maintenance folks share smiles and engage appropriately. We laugh together and sing a song together and help each other lighten the load of the day. It's as if I am an important part of the team. Then I reach my friend's room and he is smiling as we greet. Often, he is having lunch while I roll out his weekly supplies, placing them in his designated places. Social services, accounting, housekeeping, dietary, activities, maintenance and others greet me and ask if there is anything they can help with . It's like family. That's it! It's like family!! My buddy has no family that visits with him. At least not in the 4-5 years since my wife and I jumped in to care for him. Don't get me wrong, this isn't about me or my wife. It’s about our buddy and friend. You see, we've had him in 3 different care facilities during this time. I've had the experience to assess best care practices and Cary Health and Rehab is the best of the best. We've had opportunities to move our friend closer to our home to lessen the 70 plus miles round trip; but will not take the chance of having him in a care center that may risk his quality of care. The recent change in executive management and leadership integrates the best of executive leadership with compassionate care. My buddy and I could not be more pleased. Yes, my wife agrees also. Ben"

"My uncle is in The Laurels of Forest Glenn. The place seems nice, and they have a lot of activities for the residents. They offer three meals a day, breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have a laundromat, barber shop, physical therapy department, cafeteria, and activity room. Everybody has been courteous and they would answer whatever question you have. He seems to like the food. It's very clean and it's older, but they keep it up. Everything is going good. I don't have any problems or complaints so far."

"The food at The Templeton of Cary is not good and I don't like making a reservation and having to be down at a certain time. As far as activities, there are always art classes, basket weaving, and quilting. There's a lot to do and there's even a swimming pool, a hair salon, a nail salon, a good workout gym, and tons of exercise classes of all levels, but they are raising the rent all the time."

"I choose this facility because of location, the facility is clean, and the rooms are spacious. My mother received great care, Universal has caring employees and you can tell that the staff really care about the patients there. They have an excellent rehab department. My mother even liked the food that is served. I recommend this facility to anyone looking for a nursing home for their love one. "

"My mom is at Wellington Rehab. She has been there for three months. However, they don't do well at all with communication about bills or the family member. They suck. My mom went there from an ALF to this facility because she needs more assistance. Back in December, she was still on her insurance. In going there when she was very sick, I told them if she was off of her insurance to let me know because I have to start to self-pay, but they had not been billing me, and I had not heard anything from them since December. I had to pay four months of a huge amount of money because they had not billed me, and I thought that was just crazy as hell. But now they got me on radar, and I guess everything is going smoothly. One thing I will give them as long as I keep my mom there, the nursing staff and the care they give her is excellent. The nursing care for my mom is the most important thing. If I can pass the headache with the administration, they I'll have the headache, but if it’s the other way around, I will take her out of there. The most important thing is the care for your loved one. Their laundry department -- as far as clothes washing -- sucks because they lost 100% of my mom's clothes the first time they washed them, so I went in and picked up all my mom's stuff, and I have been washing them ever since. They have the worst laundry department. "

"My mother is in BellaRose. It's a new place and it's very clean. We're happy and we're comfortable with it. She said the food is really good and she eats there a lot. They have a lot of different things they do with people who obviously don't have the capabilities to do things, but they do it with them. The staff has been real good. They do games as well."

"I visited this facility a few times to see my grandmother and always found the place looking good. There is a nice courtyard in the back that is good for having conversations in the spring. The front is secured, visitors need a code to get in, so the patients are safe. There is a dining room, and a lobby out front for guests. My grandmother shared a room with someone else, however, they both seemed to have room for their stuff. When I visited, I always found many of the residents in good spirits and the nursing staff professional and hard-working. I enjoyed talking with some of the other residents and finding out about their lives. While my grandmother has had a couple of minor health problems during her stay, she has been very sharp and at times humorous. I would recommend this facility to other people that are looking for a facility. "

"My sister went to Springbrook Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. It's a huge building and I don't like having to walk those corridors, but it's very clean because it's new. If a person were to get well then leave, then she was left alone in her room. If somebody came, then she would have a roommate. It was not private. Some people complained about the food, but the care was good, and the girls seemed attentive. I saw them going back and forth to the rehab and to the gym. Everything was fine."

"Brian Center Health & Retirement was a skilled nursing facility. It was noisy and I could hardly hear the girl that was giving me a tour. It was expensive. They were updating some rooms, which was no big deal. Walking down to the room that I was going to see, the hallway was noisy. I don't know why it was. The staff was fine. They were accommodating. I just didn't get a good feeling on it. The building was nice. With Covid, you have to sign in and wait for them to unlock the door."

"Windsor Point is a Continuing Care Retirement Community located in the town of Fuquay-Varina, NC. My mother-in-law was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease several years ago. As the disease advanced, my father-in-law was no longer able to safely care for her in his home. As a family, we made the often difficult decision to move her to a facility where her care could be overseen by professionals and her needs would be met. After researching feasible options and taking tours, we finally decided Windsor Point’s Memory Care was the best level of care for my mother-in-law. The entire campus was clean, free of odors and well maintained. The management team was extremely welcoming and many of the “higher ups” came to meet and greet us intermittently throughout the day my mother-in-law moved in and became part of the Windsor Point community. This meant so much to our family, even though we probably didn’t show our tremendous gratitude at the time. Going through this experience has made me greatly appreciate employees who work in the healthcare field; especially the front line staff. Everyone from the housekeepers, to the aides, to the dietary employees, seemed to actually care about their job, and performed their daily tasks with care and compassion. I hope my review is helpful to families who are looking for a facility or community that will care for your loved one day-in and day-out. Nursing Homes and Assisted Living facilities are often misrepresented, and seem to receive more negative reviews than positive ones. I praise Windsor Point for everything they did to care for my mother-in-law, and also for the support our family was given as we watched her progress through the final stages of Alzheimer’s disease. Lastly, the memory that resonates with me the most actually did not occur on or near the Windsor Point campus; it was at my mother-in-law’s Visitation. Several employees that worked at Windsor Point, cared enough and took time out of their own day to attend her Visitation, offer their condolences and say their final goodbyes. I will never forget that day! "
