"First off, I have to say when trying to find a Senior Home Care Agency for my mother; I was not going to stop until she had the best. It was very important that my mom feel safe, well treated, and had daily interaction. I did not want her to become afraid or online. I did a lot of research and I decided to put my mom at Total Life Center and I am so glad I did. The staff and directors of this senior home are outstanding; pursuing my mom's every needs. They are more like family for my mom than a care taker. The give my mom a lot of activities to participate in. It is an excellent Senior Home and I would recommend it to anyone. My mom has never felt threatened or felt neglected. I get to see her once a week, and she is always happy and always has a care taker to talk about. She speaks of the care takers like they are her friends; they tell her stories and about their lives. It makes her feel like she has a glimpse of the outside world. This Senior Home is amazing and I am so glad that I found them. "

"The first thing I noticed when I visited Sarah Care was the smell ---- or rather, the absence of one. The facility is more than just clean and good smelling, it is comfortable and comforting. The furniture, colors, fabrics and natural light make it feel like a well-decorated home. Once I started talking to the staff members, I knew we were onto something. Sarah Care was not a hard sell, not that they would need to be. I never had the feeling that we were important only as consumers. Everyone from the director to the CNAs welcomed us, allowed us to observe and spoke to my mother directly. She has Alzheimers Disease and not every place is equipped to deal with the special needs of AD patients. The interviews we had with the director, the nurse, and the activity director convinced us that we were in the right place. Mom started with only two days a week and has gradually worked up to full time, including Saturdays. As she acclimated, she began to look forward to going to "school" every day. She would go seven days a week if she could! Communication with staff is a two-way street. I feel confident that they listen to my concerns and they keep me informed about her condition. Sarah Care allows my mother to live at home with family while still receiving the specialized care and socialization that is vital to her well-being. If it were not for Sarah Care, I'm not sure we would still be able to keep her with us. This program has given us the gift of irreplaceable time. "

"I just started to take my husband, who has Alzheimers, to the Millbrook Enrichment Center on Friday AMs a month ago and he was not happy to go the first time. Now he loves to go! Shelly, the head of it, is very caring and they have such a positive attitude, and it is so well organized. He is having so much fun and he laughs and talks about what they did all the way home in the car. They often take part in preparing their lunches and they make really nice craft items and play games, etc. He was always very good natured but since he has Alz. he gets frustrated and angy at times but now he is so much better natured since he's been going there. It makes me so happy to see him having such a good time and it gives me the AM to get out and get some errands done. "
