" Circle Center is an adult day care center located in the center of Richmond. My mother attended this center for 12 years. The staff was highly professional, extremely warm and compassionate. They were always sensitive to her every need.... and to our needs as her family. My mother loved attending this center. It gave her a purpose for her day. It gave her companionship, structure, and support. The many activities filled her days and lifted her spirit. It gave us, her family, complete security in knowing she was safe and happy. It was a God-send for her and for us. "

"I am a guardian of an individual with dementia who goes to Faith Works 6 days a week, Monday through Saturday. She LOVES it. I stop by once a month to check things out, and they are always very courteous and attentive. They care for people with different levels of abilities and have activities to keep everyone engaged. In addition, whenever I meet with her case worker or have a telehealth meeting with a care provider or therapist, I go there for the meetings. They always provide a quiet, private meeting place, making everything very convenient. And they are located near great dining options, so if I want to celebrate a special occasion and take my loved one to lunch or get a special treat, there are nice options available. They also accept Medicaid, which my individual needs."

"Hanover seemed to be nice. The staff seemed fine. They served a hot meal and snacks during the day. They had a lot of activities and played bingo, music, and danced. They had rooms for activities and a place outside where they can sit."

"My wife goes to Alternative Adult Care during the day, and in the evening, she has a nurse that stays with her until I get home. We have been doing that for several months, and it is working pretty well. She has been going there since December and likes the people. In her mind, she is helping them. She does not call it as a daycare center in the morning when I take her. She calls it "going to work." As long as she feels that way about it, I want to keep her in an environment like that because she feels like she’s a big contribution. The staff is great and really care about the people they are taking care of and treat them like family. Everybody is like family there. They look forward to seeing her each morning and greet her at the door. They make a big fuss over her and hug her. The food there is good. I actually eat there myself. It is a huge building with TVs all over the place and different activities. There are some veterans who talk about their war exploits and she listens to that sometimes. There are ladies who get them to their rest rooms and take care of any hygiene needs that they may have. I bring her there Mondays to Thursdays at 8:00 a.m. In the afternoon, they have their activity bus and bring her right to the front door, at which time I have a nurse who comes to see her and stays with her. I will highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a daycare center that is very caring and very attentive to the individuals. She loves them. They are hugging her all the time and consistantly give you a monthly update on how she is doing. The folks there are just fantastic. I can’t speak in praises any higher. "

"Lucy Corr Village is a bigger facility. I didn’t like it because it felt institutionalized and I wanted a small facility, but the staff were friendly when I went there. "

"Interfaith is church-based and my mother is doing great with them. Most of the staff is volunteers. They do have an RN on duty and a program manager. "
