"Bon Secours assisted living is a very popular facility in Richmond, Va. It is very pretty although not a five star facility it does have good amenities. Most of the people working there that I came in contact with were pretty nice. I would have preferred if the rooms were like mini apartments but they were just rooms. Some looked very nice however it would have been more comfortable for him if the space was bigger. I heard of some staff not taking care of the people there that needed help like some people there needed help eating or bathing and would be neglected. My grandfather is very independent so he never had that problem. It also seemed clean in the facility which is very important to me. I am not a fan of assisted living facilities but this one was fairly decent. I would only recommend making it look more home like with bigger space for people to live in. "

"The company is short staffed and lacking the knowledge of knowing how impactful their services really are. Kudos to being a family own company and black owned. However, they do not keep you informed of changes until the last minute including call ins, they do not have enough staff for respite hour usage even if you tell them 3 days in advance. Not only do they not have the staff you have to call them back to know they don't. They don't staff on holidays per an office worker nor do they seem to care in a profession where CARE is the top priority. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone. "
