"Harvest Glen Community is a mile from my house. I like that it's a single floor, and it's a nice open layout inside. They do have a clubhouse and a pool. I think they do all the yard work with outside maintenance. The place is fine. I have been there a lot because I know older people that live there. They have garages attached, which is nice. The staff was very nice, they let us in, and they were fine."

"The Park at Ridgedale was very nice. The lady that was there was very informative. But they didn't have an apartment available for me to see at the time. They gave me handouts, explained everything to me, and answered any questions that I asked. "

"My parents are still in Forest Creek. It is a decent place. It's for 55-plus only. What I like best is the accommodations. Everything is on one floor. It's a really clean area, which is what I like best. As far as the maintenance, the worst thing is the response time when you're trying to get some questions answered. The response time can really be better. My parents make their own food. They have activities. It's not much, but my parents don't participate at this time. They have a community center there that give programs or events. They have a salon or someone who does hair. For what they're paying for, it's pretty average for what they have."

"When I walked in the lobby, it was very nice. It was all decorated for Christmas already, even though it was only Thanksgiving. I think that is a good sign, because it puts me under the impression that they are cheery around the old-folks, and care about Holidays and having families visiting. The furniture and other objects in the lobby were also extremely nice. The furniture was antique and so beautiful. I would have loved to have furniture like that in my home, it was very luxurious. We then proceeded to the elevators and went upstairs to my boyfriend's grnadmothers' rooms. They were a very nice size and one of them was heavily decorated. They each had about three rooms including a private bathroom, which I liked. The room we had dinner in was a very nice size as well. I liked the fact that they had seperate rooms for meetings or dinner and it was just my boyfriend's family and me there, no strangers. That was also slightly impressive, and made things a lot less awkward. "

"The staff at Lucy Corr Village is good; everyone seems to be polite and available. They’re a rehab center also, so they have things that they can do. My mother was having a lot of urinary tract infections at home, and she didn’t like to take her medicine at home but will take it through them. She’s doing well. "

"I am looking for a nursing home for my mother. I have visited your facility and I was very impressed at the care that you all gave the patients. I spent some time there with one of your patient and a dear dear friend. My mother needs long term care. She has medicad and medicare. "

"Brandermill Woods is a Retirement community with on site individual cottages that are beautifully maintained. It also has a community house with apartments for assisted living . And across the street a nursing care facility and Alzheimers care wing. The community center has a lovely full service dining room and activities and exercise room and craft room, that keep everyone interested. My parents moved into a cottage recently. The electronic device on site for safety and check in service is easy to use and appreciated because my mother has Parkinson's and it is a relief to me to know if my dad is not home, mom has her fall necklace on and help is moments away. They have been more social now that they were living in their home. Dinners out with friends and clubs keep them social and active. Peace of mind and my parents happiness with where they are living is such a gift. "

"My mother stayed at Atlantic at Charter Colony for around 5 years. I liked them before COVID because after COVID, it changed them. Before COVID, they offered so much, like she could get her hair done there. They had a lot of activities for her to do, like play games and bingo. They were just always doing something. Mom was never in her apartment. She was always out doing things. And I thought that was good for her. Her actual apartment was nice. She was in a 2-bedroom unit because she just wanted more space. I liked the place a lot. It was very good. I didn't deal with the staff a whole lot, but they were good. They've helped me a few times like when I couldn't reach my mom, they would go check on her and let me know that she was OK. The place was always very clean. They didn't offer food because it wasn't assisted living. There were a few times where I felt like sometimes because it's a 55 and older facility, some of the younger people would kind of bully my mom. After all my mom was so much older. I felt like they would take advantage of her like my mom would give them money or whatever. She would be afraid of some of them. But that's not to say that all the people there were bad. Honestly, she made some good friends there, and the majority of the people were nice. They did end up getting rid of those people. It was like 2 people that bothered my mom quite a bit, and I think they bothered other people too. So, they eventually had them go somewhere else."

"The facilities were well taking care inside and out. The landscape was outstanding. Very clean. The residents and staff were friendly. The design of the facilites are designed as if the residents are living in their own home. I felt very comfortable each visit. The facilties had their social area, library, and dining area. Each area designed to make the residents and visitors feel at home and comfortable. I had a very good experience each visit. "

"My Father lived at Summerhill for a little over eight years before he passed. He enjoyed gardening, playing bridge, and having his own unit that he bought. Summerhill has transportation for residents to go shopping, to a doctor's appointment, to church, and to special planned events. The staff at Summerhill is very pleasant, helpful, and there is round the clock security at the entrance and throughout the community. My father loved living there, and my brother and I were pleased with how he was able to maintain his lifestyle and enjoy new things. The unit he had was two bedroom and two full baths, a kitchen, dining area/living room, washer and dryer, and a lovely covered front porch. "

"My husband and I have been living at Norcroft Apartments. I love the place very well because the rooms are nice and spacious. The bathroom is a big enough for my husband and I. The staff is wonderful. They have quite a few programs. They take us out to grocery stores and to where I get my hair done. They have exercise and also have certain days for seniors like music day. I like that because I don't get a chance to get out much. They have transportation, so I like that a lot. The food and the dining room are wonderful. The food is good. I'm diabetic, and they make sure I have the right meal. It is wonderful. The facility is really good. My husband and I really don't have anything to worry about. You can see the security walking around, and the doors are lock automatically. "

"We are moving into Chester Village Senior. We chose it because they have two bedrooms and it's just a very clean complex. Everything is so close to it. It's nicely taken care of inside and out. The staff was very helpful and very nice. There's also an emergency thing in each apartment that you can pull if you have a problem. The garbage is included and wi-fi is available."

"My husband chose to move at Dominion Place Association because he liked that area of town. It was his first choice of places to move in. The apartments were small but it was well-insulated that you did not hear the neighbor's loud music. They had planned activities from time to time like dinner where everybody was invited. They also had social workers or people who helped the residents with different things like working on the computer. They also helped in choosing a cellphone or anything that they wanted to do. He had his own private place and he cooked his own food. "
