"This is a very close,loving and caring facility. Everything is clean. The nursing staff are very concerned and concientious about their residents and the medications being provided. The facility used to be a school many many years ago and whats so neat about it, is some of the residents actually attended school there as a child. The director of nursing has been there for many years and over sees the facilty. I can tell the residents are well cared for just by looking at them! "

"We're here at Harmony at Waldorf. They had the one last unit available, and my wife took it. I'm her husband and legal guardian, and I became a resident myself. I am staying with her to enjoy the independence of not having to worry about meals and cleaning and so on and I'm taking care of her. It just opened, so it's brand new and it's in good condition. Our room is clean and reasonable. It was the smallest one-bedroom apartment they had, but I didn't have a choice because this was the only one available. Everything else is taken. It's a clean place and it has good amenities, like a good kitchen, washer and dryer, air-conditioning, heat, everything. They have social activities. The dining hall is very clean. The residents meet each other. They have a movie theater, a game room, an internet room, wi-fi and so on. When you have a brand new building, there are advantages to it. Everything is clean. Everything has not been worn out yet. Maintenance is much easier to perform. The kitchen prepares the food and it's reasonable. I did not interact with many people. It's only the concierge, and they are usually helpful and friendly. It's what you would expect it to be for this kind of facility. It's not extravagant and it's not cheap, considering that it's a one-bedroom apartment. This is just a little bit higher priced than the one-bedroom apartment in any facility, which has nothing to do with old people or senior activity and does not provide services. It's reasonable. They have independent, memory care, and also assisted living."

"I've been living at Cedar Lane for almost three years. It get better all the time. There are abundant activities -- more than I can participate in. The staff is helpful and friendly. The service coordinators are compationate and resourceful. This is not an assisted living facility so the staff cannot provide individual assistance. There is a competent and caring medical resource in the building. The campus is always well cared for.When we have maintenance issues they are repaired quickly. There is an online rent payment and maintenance application. My rent is reasonable expecially since all utilities (except cable) are included. Many residents I know do receive HUD subsididies for their rent and electricity."

"I just moved into Victory Woods, and it seems to be working OK. So far, so good. It's a place I was trying to get into for a couple of years because my mom lives here. It's a very good place. For people that don't have cars, they have a bus that comes around and takes them shopping. The stores around here are OK, but not the greatest. They go all over the place. The rooms are of various styles. I'm in a one-bedroom, one-bath, one kitchen, one dinette area, and one living room. It's like a little square, but it's just perfect for me. They have meals sometimes, but none that the place provides. They have a couple of people who live there that are cooks and then they sell some of the food. They watch movies on certain nights, and they do bingo on certain nights. Not everybody wants to be included, but they're not excluded. They just don't come down to the common areas to do that. It's just the tenants who want to get together. Some people in here just don't come out of their apartment. Most of them drive and most of them take care of their shopping and everything all on their own. It's just an apartment building for anyone 62 and up. I only know the office manager and the maintenance guy and they're awesome as far as I know. The lady that works in the office worked diligently to get me in here and was able to get me some help with the rent. I'm not paying full rent. I haven't found any problems with any of them. I've just been here for a little while, but mom has been here for 10 years and she likes it. They interact well and they leave you alone if you don't want to be there. You're just independent right here. The grounds are nice, and they got the parking lots and they are monitored. You have to have a sticker on your car, so they know you're authorized to be here. They have people ride around and make sure that if they're not supposed to be here, they take care of it. They give us our independence, but they also get you included in everything. They have a bus, they have card games, they have movies, they have games, and they play the Wii sometimes. About half of them come down and the rest of them pretty much stay on their own. I think the pricing is reasonable. They work very diligently with housing to see if they can help you out."

"I am in Asbury Solomons and I have been here for seven years. My experience is very good. The location is very attractive and the physical plan is excellent shape and seems to be maintained in excellent shape also. The room is excellent. They have almost everything you might be interested in, but I am not much of an activity person. The food has its problem, but it is better than many places that I have seen. The staff's work ethics is very good. I am very happy and satisfied here. I will recommend it. "

"My dad has moved into Chapline House. It is wonderful. It is a beautiful place. It is immaculate and attractive. It has a lovely court with lots of rocking chairs out front and a beautiful sitting area in the lobby. The apartments are set up for seniors. They have pull strings for emergencies. They have carts, walkers, and wheelchairs down in the lobby. The staff members are very accommodating and very sweet. The room is a full apartment, and residents take care of themselves completely. They have daily activities. They have card games, music, and pool games. I'm so happy that we found this place."
