"Purple Heart Assisted Living is the best facility in the area. My grandfather suffered from dementia and we chose Purple Heart because the bedrooms were spacious which gave my grandfather room for his recliner and to setup his table for card games. This facility made my grandfather feel like part of the family. He ate with the staff, played games and watched movies on a regular basis. I received a daily report of my grandfathers eating habits, medication intake and sleeping patterns. As my grandfathers mobility started to fade, the wheelchair accessible bathroom and lift made it easier for him to get in and out of the bathroom and the facility for doctor visits. I would recommend this facility to any family in search of an assisted living facility."

"I visited Harmony at Waldorf, and I liked what I saw. I guess people mean well, but I need to go where I'm comfortable, and when I need assisted living, then they will transition me to that down the line. They have a full-size kitchen and a washer and dryer. There's an option for one meal. I would decide which meal I want on any given day, and then that's the one I would have. I like the place. Inside, they have a lot of different dining rooms and stuff. The person who took me around explained stuff because we talked about the one-time fee, and I just happened to ask, "Do you give discounts to the military?" and she said yes. So, I think once you pay that, I get the impression that it would be applied."

"My dad has moved into Chapline House. It is wonderful. It is a beautiful place. It is immaculate and attractive. It has a lovely court with lots of rocking chairs out front and a beautiful sitting area in the lobby. The apartments are set up for seniors. They have pull strings for emergencies. They have carts, walkers, and wheelchairs down in the lobby. The staff members are very accommodating and very sweet. The room is a full apartment, and residents take care of themselves completely. They have daily activities. They have card games, music, and pool games. I'm so happy that we found this place."

"We looked at a senior living across the water from us at Solomons. The tour was excellent. They showed us several areas, and I was very happy with the treatment we got with the staff that we met. They seemed very friendly. They had several kinds of apartments ranging from a little house to various apartments -- one bedroom and two bedrooms. They had some sort of exercise going on. They gave us lunch, and it was excellent. The dining room was fine; it was fairly large. Asbury Solomons is an excellent facility all the way around. The problem I had with the whole system is it is expensive. "

"The community is ideal for my needs and interests. Situated on the eastern shore of the Chesapeake and backing up to the Tred Avon River. My kayak and I will be very happy there. I like that the board of directors is made up of 5 professionals and 5 residents. The community is beautifully laid out and very well maintained, the residents are delightful and like-minded with varied interests and talents. Through the food program they encourage residents to eat well and socialize. I also like the fact that it's not run/owned by some large corporation.. "

"I just moved into Victory Woods, and it seems to be working OK. So far, so good. It's a place I was trying to get into for a couple of years because my mom lives here. It's a very good place. For people that don't have cars, they have a bus that comes around and takes them shopping. The stores around here are OK, but not the greatest. They go all over the place. The rooms are of various styles. I'm in a one-bedroom, one-bath, one kitchen, one dinette area, and one living room. It's like a little square, but it's just perfect for me. They have meals sometimes, but none that the place provides. They have a couple of people who live there that are cooks and then they sell some of the food. They watch movies on certain nights, and they do bingo on certain nights. Not everybody wants to be included, but they're not excluded. They just don't come down to the common areas to do that. It's just the tenants who want to get together. Some people in here just don't come out of their apartment. Most of them drive and most of them take care of their shopping and everything all on their own. It's just an apartment building for anyone 62 and up. I only know the office manager and the maintenance guy and they're awesome as far as I know. The lady that works in the office worked diligently to get me in here and was able to get me some help with the rent. I'm not paying full rent. I haven't found any problems with any of them. I've just been here for a little while, but mom has been here for 10 years and she likes it. They interact well and they leave you alone if you don't want to be there. You're just independent right here. The grounds are nice, and they got the parking lots and they are monitored. You have to have a sticker on your car, so they know you're authorized to be here. They have people ride around and make sure that if they're not supposed to be here, they take care of it. They give us our independence, but they also get you included in everything. They have a bus, they have card games, they have movies, they have games, and they play the Wii sometimes. About half of them come down and the rest of them pretty much stay on their own. I think the pricing is reasonable. They work very diligently with housing to see if they can help you out."

"My sister moved into the Cedar Lane Senior Living Community. She lives 12 minutes from me and 13 minutes from our other sister. We chose it because of the location and the rent. My sister has one bedroom, and it's not large. She has a real kitchen, a living room, a bedroom, and a bathroom. Certain things come with it, like internet services at a reduced fee, and cable at a reduced fee. She has a washer and dryer in her apartment. They do not provide meals. Once a week there's some community organization similar to Meals on Wheels where you can just go down to the dining room and have whatever food they've provided that day. Somebody organizes that, and it's more of a social thing than if you need a meal. My sister said everybody there is wonderful. Everybody who has known anyone who has lived there has absolutely loved it. There's a husband and wife who have been there for 15 years. They have three different buildings, and all three have different economics. You can live with state help, subsidized rent, or in an apartment that's at a lower rent and does not have a washer and dryer in it. We saw this whiteboard of calendars, and there were so many things in every single spot, so they have a lot of activities."

"The facility manager was very pleasant and helpful. The facility was clean and welcoming. I did not see an apt so can’t speak to how they are. The residents mingled in various areas together, and seemed happy to be there. Many different activities are offered. The one downside is the wait time to gain residency."

"My brother used to live at Victory Lakeside in a one-bedroom, but he got married, so he and his wife looked for a two-bedroom and they went to the other place. They have nothing but good things to say about them. I think they stayed there for about a year. It was nice when you walked in. It's well-kept, looked nice and neat, and the people there were excellent. The thing I didn't like about Victory Lakeside is that their bathrooms are in the bedrooms. If someone wants to come and visit, they have to go to your bedroom to go to the bathroom."

"Ginger Cove has everything you could possibly want. The area is big with 375 apartments for the residents, but I am in a small apartment because they are expensive. They provide one meal a day. They have a bus service going everywhere. They have a beauty shop and a bank within the facility. I like doing outdoor activities like arranging flowers and gardening. Overall, I would recommend this facility. "

"I toured Comfort Senior Care Facility. It was nice. It was clean. The rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable looking. The gentleman that I met with and gave me the tour, was very knowledgeable and professional. If I were going to do residential, that would be the place that I would have chosen from the ones that I toured. There were plenty of activities set up. Their activity room was nice. The layout was set up for the residents, everything was spaced nicely. It was just a really good-looking place. Meals are included. The menu looked great."

"I chose Woodmore House because my wife could roam around in it, and she has a roommate. They have activities, serve three meals a day, and give her medication. It is ideal for her. The staff is nice, friendly, and attentive. They engage her, and they give her something to do even if it is only folding clothes. They make her a part of the establishment. "

"I purchased a home in Marwood Senior Apartments and I love it. It's very quiet and there's 24-hour security. I moved in in the middle of pandemic so I haven't been able to take advantage of the amenities at this point. You have to drive out for amenities because there are no grocery stores or shopping close by. Right now there are no activities because of the pandemic."

"We lived in Reserve At Heritage Harbour. I would move back there on a dime, that's how great it was. It's a very large community and there are different types of homes there. Some of them are apartments, some of them are condos, some of them are newer than others, and a lot of them are redone. The amenities there are outstanding. You name any activities, they have it. There's tennis, swimming pools, kayaking, a full gym, dancing classes, and aerobic classes. It's well worth the money, but it's a little high. The place was immaculate. People were friendly. There's a place for barbecues. You can reserve the barbecue facilities if you want company over."

"We have already bought a place in Heritage Harbour. We are going to move there either the end of August or the beginning of September. Heritage Harbour is a lovely place. It looks like a really nice living area. It looks very comfortable and fresh. It is very clean. The people seem very nice. I don't feel like I'm living in a nursing home. I have my privacy and I'm comfortable. From what I have seen, they got everything and more. We also have seen nice amenities there. My family lives close to this community. It is about 15 minutes away from where my sister lives and about 45 minutes from where my nephew lives. The unit that we bought is being painted now. It was completely set up for a handicapped person. It has railings all around the entire room, plus a step-in shower. It is all on one level with hardwood floors and everything has been updated. It is just perfect. We're very happy with what we found. It was on the market for one day and we happened to find it. It was exactly what we're looking for. We were very lucky to have found it. We're very excited about moving there. "

"Cameron Grove is a planned adult living with activities and a swimming pool. There's security in the building and it's very conveniently located. The staff is friendly, they gave us a tour so we saw the game room, exercise room, the media room, and it was a nice presentation. My friend chose a 2-bedroom, 2-bath, but a lot of the units are a 2-bedroom, 1-bath. She liked that the unit is on the top floor, which has a nice feature."
