"My dad was at Asbury Solomons. The staff was friendly. It was easy to access, yet they had seemingly good security to keep people from walking out. I think the food was adequate. It was kept very well. The best thing about this nursing home is the proximity to my house so I can go visit and check on him. I was very satisfied with our experience."

"I visited this facility several times to visit my adopted grandmother and was offered a tour by the staff. They staff was exceptionally friendly and very willing to answer any questions that I had. During the tour, I was shown the common areas of the facility including the day room, the nurses station and the grounds. I was also offered a tour of a patient room but declined as I was already familiar with the rooms. The patient rooms were spacious and clean and the staff encouraged residents to bring in their personal items from home in order to make the environment more home-like. The staff response time was impressive when summoned by residents and there were no residents merely sitting idol in the halls as I have seen in some other facilities. The activities seemed to be appropriate to adults and the residents overall seemed to enjoy the environment."

"Taylor Farm was the most affordable facility out of the places we looked at, and it had the best care. My dad has been there a couple of weeks now. He gets 24/7 care and they do everything like medication, grooming, feeding, and laundry. The food is the best thing my dad says is there. The rooms are all single rooms. They have a ton of activities. Their price is fair, and there are no surprises because it's all-inclusive."

"Three Bea's Assisted Living at Peace Court was a very nice environment. The kitchen and all the rooms were very clean. I met two of the residents there, and it seemed like they were happy. I didn't hear them complain or say anything bad. The lady who helped me was very thorough in explaining what options they had. We talked about how I could come to get my mom anytime I wanted to. They seemed like they cared about the residents and it was a very nice place. I went to the memory care. They were very truthful and I liked what I had seen. That was an older home, but it was done very well. It was decorated nicely. It didn't give you that feeling like you were in a home for elderly people. The dining room and everything looked very modern."

"My friend has been here for 2 1/2 years and loves it. She says she feels safe here. When we brought here from another state, we were afraid she would not make it through the end of the year because she was so run down. She was living on her own and eating out for every meal. She has thrived at the Orchard and will probably out live me! My friend has a "studio" apartment-a bedroom separated by curtains from the living room. There is a walk in closet and another closet near the entry way and an apartment sized refrigerator but no stove. She enjoys playing bingo, cards and crafts. She goes out to lunch or to a play with the other residents and the last "outing" was to Walmart and Peebles. The staff is wonderful and helpful and caring. They assist me in getting medications and in solving problems that have arisen- for instance, several of the administrators -different ones at different times,, went to the pharmacy to pick up meds that were needed that night. I cannot recommend this facility highly enough. I can understand why this facility has received high ratings from the state."

"My mother-in-law did rehab at The Orchard for three weeks. The place was beautiful and it was really clean. She's been there twice, but we weren't that happy with it. The therapy was good. The other staff members were just slow when she rang the bell. They'd put her in the bathroom and then she'd stay there. If she'd ring the bell, it'd take them a long time to come, that sort of thing. They tried to be helpful. Her room was shared. They have a room that has puzzles and they do activities and they make things. They have several nice living rooms where you can come sit in. Some of the staff were good and some of them weren't. The food was pretty good, some of it she didn't like."
