"The Celebration Villa of Manresa setting was nice during my visit. It was an older building but set up on a hillside, so it was nice and had a very peaceful layout. They had smaller rooms that were slightly dated, but the overall setting made up for that. The staff that I met were great, they're knowledgeable, pleasant, and very helpful. They have patios, garden areas, and sitting areas."

"My wife is happy in Candle Light Cove. It’s a small place with apartments, activities, and a very small population. The apartment my wife has is very nice, big, and clean. They feed her. "

"My wife is in Bayleigh Chase, and it's very good. The care, the rooms, and the staff are excellent. The nurses are very kind. They have a dining room, a library, a workout room, music periodically, bingo, and all kinds of games. I haven't tried the food myself, but my wife says it's very good."

"Each time we visited, we found the staff to be pleasant. Our Uncle's room and the rest of the facility seemed pretty clean. He was allowed to hang pictures and put up knicknacks to personalize his room a little. There was, however a strong smell of urine, but I suppose that is to be somewhat expected. Our uncle seemed well cared for, and had put on some weight. He really enjoyed the activities he participated in, especially bowling! It seemed that there were various activities such as Wii games, arts and crafts and religious services available for the residents to participate in if they wished to do so. On one occasion we visited in the dining room, albeit not during meal time. It was clean, and I believe a menu board may have been posted. I noticed that some residents were allowed to sit outside, but there were also measures taken to make sure others were not able to go outside without knowledge of the staff (those I am assuming, with dementia or alzhimers). While we were there we spoke with a resident who lived across the hall, and she seemed to be fairly pleased with her surroundings. All in all, I know that our uncle enjoyed his time there. If we are in need of a nursing facility for another family member at a future date, we will certainly consider this as a possibility. "

"Chesapeake Woods in Cambridge MD was superb facility. My Grandmother was a residence for 3 years and I visited her quite often. The thing that really blew me away about Chesapeake woods was the staff would always plan activities for the residence and made sure they socialized with each other. They had arts and crafts, outings to various events around town and they even had a Nintendo Wii in the common area. The food was also great, I would frequently take a plate home with me when I visited her. If I had to address a complaint about Chesapeake Woods is that when I visited her, it would always be so scorching hot in the halls and in her room, I could hardly take it. The residence never complained and they seemed comfortable but I with there was another area for visitations with a better temperature control. In my opinion, Chesapeake Woods should be the blueprint of what a nursing home should be. "

"My father has been residing at Whitewood for a little over year. Considering he lost his wife of 62 years and has been transplanted from Hartford, CT, where he lived for more than 20 years-- well-- I could not ask for a better situation-- Whitewood is friendly and does not feel like a hospital-- they treat my father like he is family to them-- staff looks after him and tells me about his attitude, health and behavior on a regular basis-- the place is clean-- Andrew and Stacey will take care of your loved ones and all of your concerns matter to them-- for example my father is a NY Met fan and to make things feel like home for him, they helped me get him the direct tv baseball package so he can see all the Met games--- my father is in good hands and I am grateful for that "

"What I liked the best about Queenstown Landing was that it was clean. It's pretty new and the tour was well-presented. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room size was excellent. They had a salon, a library, and a courtyard. The least thing I liked about the place was the construction that they're starting to add on to the place. That's going to be a deterrent for the residents."

"My grandfather was here and I would highly recommend them. One of the first things you notice when you walk in the door is it doesn't smell. In fact everytime I visited i always saw staff cleaning. They show real effort to make residents as happy as they can. They were always very accommodating . When I left i knew my grandfather was in good hands "

Everybody seems to be very caring and very attentive. They got back with my phone calls and helped me out with any snags that we came across."

"My mother has been in Corsica Hills Center since December..we live in Delaware and although we wanted her closer to us, but we are glad that she is at Corsica. The care and service has been excellent, especially the nursing staff that are always there to take care of my mother's needs. The place is clean, smells clean and the staff is friendly as well as the communication from those in charge and us has been much appreciated....We definitely recommend Corsica."

"My mother is staying at HeartHomes at Bay Ridge. She's on level 2 memory care. She can still feed and dress herself, but she needs reminding. She needs help brushing her teeth, and she needs help with medicine. We've been pleased with the care she's getting. It's a smaller place, so they don't have a ton of activities. I like the people there a lot, that's why we've been there for so long. I like the facility. It's pretty much the basics, nothing real fancy, but it's nice. They have special events from time to time. They have local musicians come in and play for them and they have 4th of July cookouts and stuff like that. They play cards sometimes. On Tuesdays, they have some activities. There's just not a ton. I like the fact that all of the rooms have their own bathroom. They're all single rooms. It seems to be clean there for the most part."
